Chapter 52: Interrogation
After Xavier visits Udora, he finds Andrew, the captain of the Imperial Special Forces, in his hospital room.
The captain, who used to like to smile, has no smile at all at the moment, either because of the wound on his face, or because his thoughts at the moment make him not want to smile.
"Captain Andrew. Xavier knocked on the door, and when he got a response, he went straight to the point and said, "I heard, you arrested Mr. Sika Matheson?"
"Is there a problem?" Andrew asked rhetorically.
"He," Xavier felt a little ambivalent, "I know you're angry right now, but Mr. Matheson is not a bad guy. β
"So, are you not satisfied that we have arrested him?" Andrew asked with a little anger, and then realized that the person in front of him was the source of the information, so he restrained his dissatisfaction, knowing that he could not spread this anger on others, "He is the father of Anwen, he must know Anwen's whereabouts." β
"But I've already asked, and he really doesn't know Anwen"
"Xavier, man, is a lie. Andrew interrupted him, "Only in the face of fear do they speak the truth." β
"I don't want to quarrel with you. Xavier did not attempt to refute, "But believe me, Mr. Sika, is a good man, unlike his son. β
"So what?" said Andrew, a little heavier, "if I believe you, he is a good man, but what about his son, who has killed dozens of my companions and hundreds of people, and this Mr. Matheson, who may know his whereabouts, should I give up?"
"Even if, as you said, you can't ask for information in his mouth, we can use this as a threat to ask that Anwen to come out and show up!"
Faced with this series of answers, Xavier suddenly froze.
In his initial thoughts, he hoped to catch the cloaked assassin, Anven Pendragon, directly in the Great Hall, so that he would be sorry for Mr. Machison, but he would not need to be involved in this.
In the end, he seems to have betrayed the swordsmith's trust in him and allowed him to be caught by the special forces, perhaps for Andrew, his actions were not wrong, but for Sika Matheson, he was unaware of it from beginning to end.
And this is all made by Xavier, in fact, even if he doesn't tell Andrew, today's explosion will still happen, but Sika will not be caught.
It made him feel a little guilty.
But that didn't mean he regretted it, if he could really get the information from Sika and catch Anwen Pendragon, then let him be sorry for the swordsmith for once
"I didn't ask you to let him go, I just hope that you can make a little lighter move. Xavier finally said to Andrew.
"Rest assured. Andrew was silent, his eyes dodging for a moment, "As long as he is willing to tell the information, we will not embarrass him." β
"That's good. Xavier's mind was a little relieved, but he didn't know that Andrew was lying to him.

Inner City Police Station, Interrogation Room.
"Your son, where the hell is Anwen Pandragon?" the special forces member in charge of the interrogation shouted at Sika with a wave of his baton.
"I don't know," Sika Matheson, a middle-aged and elderly man in his sixties, spat on blood and replied in a voiceless voice, "I really don't know"
"You're stubborn. Looking at the weak look, the team member didn't have any sympathy, "Your son did such a thing, do you still have to cover it up for him?"
"It seems that more punishment is needed. With that, he raised his baton and aimed it at Sika's knee and struck him hard.
"Ahhh!!hh
It was the sound of a bone cracking, forcibly shattered by an external force, and I am afraid that he will not be able to walk for a while.
"Don't you say it yet?"
"Didn't I tell you? I don't know!"
Seeing this, another member of the team who was watching next to him shook his head and said, "I think, let's start from other directions." β
"Why?" asked the baton-wielding team member with a heavy breath.
"He doesn't seem to be going to tell where his son is, but do you remember what the captain told us?" the team member was referring to Captain Andrew.
The implication is that they don't have to ask where Anwen is, but can deduce his fourth assassination target through other information, and understand the relationship between several victims.
"Okay. The man put down his baton, suppressed his emotions, and began the next question: "Let me ask you the second question, what happened in the first place that caused you to leave the union?"
"Me"
"If not to say it. The team member put down his baton in his right hand, picked up a long needle, and said indifferently, "Do you want to try it, do you want to put this needle in your fingernails?"

Imperial Central University.
The university is currently suspended, and for obvious reasons, there are only a few magicians, special forces members, and some elite police officers.
The role of the magician is mainly to repair the auditorium that has been blown up, and at the same time search the school to see if there are any remnants of explosives.
However, after some investigation, it seems that what the murderer did was simply put explosives in the guest seat in the auditorium, how he did it, it is impossible to investigate now, but what can be known is that it was a time bomb, and there were two triggers in total.
One, the planks on it were opened, including the planks on the auditorium platform, but the ones under the auditorium, that is, the ones that Captain Andrew pried open, were not explosives, but flammables, in order to make the explosion more powerful.
Second, it is timed, that is, even if Captain Andrew does not come at all, the bomb will still explode on its own.
The purpose of the murderer seems to be to simply blow up the vice president of the Magic Association, the other guests who accompanied the funeral, the principal, the teachers, the students' families, and the graduates, all of whom are innocent victims, for the murderer, they are not important, they are just accidentally affected by the explosion.
This is such an unacceptable consequence, and many people are extremely angry after the investigation.
To be honest, they didn't care about the vice president, anyway, they were some high-ranking big people, and when they died, they died, just like the deputy commander of the Third Legion before.
But now they are their good teammates and good friends, how can this make people resentful of their enemies?

Xavier was holding two of his swords, the one in his left hand was a steel sword called 'Sword of the Dead', and the one in his right hand was a silver sword called 'Caroline'.
It must be said that the two swords forged by Sika Maisson were now picked up by him, ready to go and kill the swordsmith's son, which in itself is ironic.
In addition to the blade in Xavier's hand, there is also an insignificant part of the system.
γCurrent Apprenticeship Quota 1γ
[Current number of apprentices: 0]
In the system, there is no longer the value of the cheap apprentice, and all that remains is the experience points that Xavier added.
