Chapter 43: A Strange Quest (Part II)

"Gather all those who have the magical talent of the light caste. Regardless of level or profession, you only need to have a light magic talent and be able to complete the basic mana output to qualify for the test, and if you can pass the test, you will be given a good reward. Ulysses looked at this task that seemed very inexplicable, and he couldn't figure out what it was going to do, and he was moved.

Because the reward level of this quest is impressively in the top bar of the mercenary group's union hall, after several ancient quests that have been listed as legends and have not been completed for hundreds of years. And the legendary quests that Ulysses had seen in the towns outside of Mira's village were paid a lot of money at the lowest pay—something that money couldn't buy.

And the fact that this task can be ranked after those legendary tasks also means that the reward for this task is definitely not low. You must know that the task issued by the mercenary union must pay a deposit, and the task of ranking so high, the deposit is probably a scary number.

"You only need to have the magic talent of the light surname, regardless of the level, regardless of the profession......" Ulysses looked at it carefully, and after confirming that he was indeed within the range, his heartbeat suddenly accelerated.

Although he didn't know how "lucrative" the reward of this task was, judging from the level of the task, it was undoubtedly much higher than the few regular tasks he had just selected.

Perhaps, he should give it a try.

However, with such a high level of mission, is he really okay? What is that test, and what should he do if he can't pass it?

............

"It's the same hotel?" Ulysses stood a little apprehensive outside the door of the top floor of the Hyrule Hotel, and in the mercenary guild he finally took the task, and used a basic light magic to prove his qualifications, and then got the certificate of this mission.

What he didn't expect was that the person who sent this task was actually staying in a hotel with him, and it happened to be the highest level of this hotel.

After the doorbell was pressed, no one answered.

"Isn't it?" Ulysses pressed again.

"Who?" came a somewhat muffled voice from the other side of the door, as if he hadn't woken up.

"I was introduced by the Mercenary Guild, do you need a light magician?" Ulysses replied cautiously, he really didn't know what to do with such a high-level mission after only doing the magic crystal charging task, judging from the level of the mission released, the person who lived on the top floor of this Hailar Hotel must be a big man, maybe a respected great magician.

"Defense magic lifted, come in. It was still that muffled voice, and there was a hint of sleepiness, and it seemed that Ulysses had not come at such a good time.

"Excuse me. Ulysses pushed the door slightly, and the closed door was easily pushed open, revealing a strange view of the door.

It was a magnificent and gorgeous sea blue world, and the water curtain in the sky spread out in all directions like water waves, and the sunlight shone through the soft water waves on this layer, making this place look as clean and beautiful as the bottom of the sea.

After entering this level, Ulysses could no longer hear the sound outside, as if the hustle and bustle of the whole city was completely isolated from this level, and only felt peace and quiet. Even at his entry-level magic level, he could feel that this space had been wrapped in a light film-like energy barrier, leaving only a slight insignificant external fluctuation in the direction of the entrance.

What surprised Ulysses even more was that this level was a complete whole, with no separate rooms. This whole layer is obviously just a resting place for one person.

This kind of extravagance has gone beyond the scope of ordinary hotels, and it is believed that even in the royal palaces of many kingdoms, such extravagant buildings will not be built.

On both sides of the door, there are statues of different shapes, and when you enter here, it is like stepping into a palace of art of stone carving and painting. Warriors with swords, knights with shields, magicians chanting spells, and beautiful goblins surrounded by thorn flowers are all lifelike on both sides.

Either one is a masterpiece of masterpieces, and even Ulysses, a man who does not understand art at all, can see the value of these statues at a glance. Many of these statues still bear traces of erosion over time, and it is clear that they are not new decorations, but treasures worthy of a long history.

Even though it's daytime, the magic lamps that adorn the walls still emit a soft glow, and many of them are inlaid with precious stones, making it hard to imagine that this is an item that would be found in an inn for travelers, but rather like a treasure in a palace of another country.

The more he went, the more uneasy Ulysses became.

Perhaps in this room, there are more than one pair of hidden eyes, closely watching his every move. As soon as he showed the slightest act of injustice, someone would immediately put a sword on his neck, and then he would have to spend the rest of his life in a dark prison.

Fortunately, Ulysses' fears did not materialize, and until he reached his destination, no knight from anywhere put his sword on his neck and sent him to the black prison.

"You're the new Light Magi?" the mission's publisher was sitting on a large bed, looking cautiously at Ulysses at his feet with lazy eyes.

"Yes...... Yes......" Ulysses looked nervously at the ground, as if trying to find a few ants on the ground - none of them, of course.

He was so nervous that he couldn't even read the face of the person who issued the mission. It's just a vague idea that the master of this mission is not very tall, and he has blonde hair, probably a prince from a certain country.

What caught his eye was a pair of small feet in white socks, perhaps because they hadn't gotten up yet, and the owner of these lovely little feet hadn't had time to put on the purple crystal boots on the ground.

A few strands of long golden hair scattered next to these cute little feet, as if embellished with the slender lines. In the air, there was a faint fragrance, not the smell of a certain perfume, but a natural fragrance that made people feel like Sister Mira's own violet scent.

"Look up and look at me. As if a command, the owner of the mission gave instructions to Ulysses.
