But whether it was written in the Spring and Autumn Period or the Warring States Period, Zeng Guo should still exist at that time.

In 433 B.C., when Zeng Hou Yi died, the three families had been divided, and the Eastern Zhou Dynasty had entered the Warring States period.

And Zeng Hou Yi's funeral goods are so luxurious, which shows that Zeng Guo was still in a very strong period at that time, at least not on the verge of extinction.

The historian who wrote "Zuo Biography", even if he has not personally experienced the Zeng State, it is definitely not far from the demise of the Zeng State.

Since he has always called the princely state surnamed Ji in "Zuo Biography", he called Sui.

If Zeng Guo is indeed Suiguo, there is only one possibility, that is, the people of Zeng Guo call the monarch Zeng Marquis, but they call themselves Suiren and Everywhere to the outside world.

The name of the place here is the name of the place, not the name of the country.

For example, the place where the Jin State is located is called the Jin Land, the land of the Qin State is called the Qin Land, and the land of the Chu State is called the Chu Land.

But Zeng Guo did not take the usual path, and Zeng Guo called his own fiefdom not Zengdi, but everywhere.

This led to outsiders calling Zeng Guo Suiguo.

The "flaw" here is a place name, and "Sui" can be translated into Suiguo or anywhere.

Most of the records about Sui in the "Zuo Chuan" have no problem translating Sui into Anywhere.

Only once specifically mentioned the word "Suiguo", "Suiguo, surnamed Ji." ”

Suppose Zeng Guo is the place where he lives and calls it Everywhere, not Zengdi.

In this way, it makes sense to call them "Sui" and "Suiren" in history books such as "Zuo Chuan".

Because Zeng Hou himself called the territory under his rule anywhere!

Just like after the Han Dynasty, most Chinese people called themselves Han people, and called the land of China Han soil.

Including the official dynasty, they often refer to the land under their rule as Han land.

In this way, it can explain why the surname Ji Zeng Guo called his territory everywhere.

Because Ji's surname Zeng Guo was originally an outsider, he relied on force to conquer the place, and then settled here!
