Two Hundred Chapters of Technological Archaeology!
"The original Old Xuewei No. 1 Tomb is very famous."
"It sounds a little scary, but in fact, Xuewei is the name of the village where the ancient tomb is located, that is, the local Xuewei Village, and there are also Xuewei Mountain and Xuewei Grassland nearby."
This tomb is known locally as the "Nine-Story Demon Tower", because this tomb has a total of nine floors, and the Tibetan herdsmen of the past generations have demonized the depiction of the Tuyuhun regime, and in local legends, there was a demon country here thousands of years ago, that is, Tuyuhun. ”
"Later, Tuyuhun was destroyed by the ancestors of the local Tibetans, that is, Tubo, and Tuyuhun was even more demonized, and the hot water tombs of the Tuyuhun nobles were buried, which was regarded as an unlucky place."
"The description of the nine-story demon tower has appeared in the Republic of China as early as possible, and it is a god in the local area."
"It is also because of this legend that there are many tomb robbers and explorers who are not afraid of death, and they rob tombs everywhere on this side of the Hot Water Tomb Group."
On a plane to Qinghai.
Kong Jianwen was carefully talking to his researchers, popularizing the situation of the hot water tomb group.
The Hot Water Tomb Group is a well-known tomb group in the local area.
For the past 1,500 years, the locals have always known that this place is a group of tombs, where many "demon kingdom" nobles are buried.
Just like Pishan, it is a well-known tomb group.
It's just that before 1982, the most famous [Xuewei No. 1 Tomb] of the Hot Water Tomb Group has not been discovered.
Or rather, it has not been officially discovered.
In the folk, there have always been rumors about this tomb, and there was a saying of "nine-story demon tower" in the Republic of China.
This shows that at least in the Republic of China, there were tomb robbers who found the [Xuewei No. 1 Tomb] and entered the tomb to rob the tomb.
That's when this rumor came about.
It wasn't until 1982 that the tomb was finally found by the official archaeological institute.
The structure of the No. 1 Tomb of Xuewei is neither like the Central Plains nor like Tibet, but has its own unique tomb shape. The tomb is 150 meters long from east to west and 80 meters wide from north to south.
With the productivity of that era, a tomb of this scale required 10,000 workers to work at the same time for more than one year at that time to complete.
Compared with the amount of work of the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor and the Mausoleum of the Two Han Emperors, it is indeed inferior.
But compared with the tombs of any dynasty after the Han Dynasty, it is one of the best projects.
The sealed earth structure of the tomb is made of mud and rammed earth, and cypress wood is used to cross the tomb every 1 meter or so from top to bottom; According to this repeated structure, nine floors were built like a building.
After that, the location of the tomb was determined, and the archaeological team carried out a rescue excavation.
However, rescue archaeological excavations are limited to three floors above ground, and the reason why they have not been excavated further down is because the current technical means are not yet mature.
Detected with scientific and technological equipment, the whole tomb is 11 meters high, the fourth layer is already close to the middle, once the excavation has any accidents, the distance up and down is very far, the archaeological team members do not even have a chance to escape, will die directly.
So for the sake of safety, the tomb stopped digging down.
However, the upper three floors, which have been cleared, are also open to tourists.
Visitors can enter the interior of the tomb, and through the repaired passages, they can visit the main burial chamber on the upper floor, the east side room, the west side room, the back room, and the corridor connecting the rooms.
It was a fun experience.
In fact, the entire Xuewei No. 1 Tomb is very solid.
Otherwise, it would not have been undestroyed and indestructible in the past 1,500 years, after being cared for by countless tomb robbers.
Moreover, because of the complexity of this tomb and the special construction style, the artifacts in the tomb are also greatly protected.
Even after many robberies, the burial goods in this tomb are still very rich.
When archaeology was carried out in the last century, hundreds of cultural relics were still unearthed in the upper three floors, which were the most seriously stolen!
This is due to the complex burial system of this tomb, so that even tomb robbers do not have any similar experience in tomb robbing, so it is difficult to steal a large number of cultural relics.
The tomb that was stolen this time, and [Xuewei No. 1 Tomb] belong to the same hot water tomb group, located on the north bank of the Chahan Wusu River, more than 400 meters away from the "Xuewei No. 1 Tomb" in the west.
The tomb is backed by a mountain and faces the river, the terrain is high in the north and low in the south, and it is a treasure land of feng shui.
After research by the Institute of Archaeology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the Cultural Relics Bureau, it was decided to name this tomb "2020 Xuewei No. 1 Tomb", which means the Xuewei No. 1 Tomb discovered in 2020.
It is distinguished from the previous Xuewei No. 1 tomb.
As for why it wasn't directly called Xuewei No. 2 Tomb, this was not something that Chen Han could know.
Nor was he involved in such a high-level matter as naming the tombs.
The tomb was stolen on March 15.
The person was arrested on March 18.
The archaeological team set off on March 20th.
Everything is very vigorous.
After a few hours of sailing, Ke Weibin, director of the Tang and Song Dynasty Research Office of the Institute of Archaeology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, arrived at Xining Airport in Qinghai with a total of 20 archaeological teams from the Institute of Archaeology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
Then, I transferred again, all the way to the high-speed rail to the bus, and finally arrived at HXMGZCZ Zhizhou, Dulan Hot Water Township in the evening.
It is a township in a very small inland city.
The degree of development is certainly not comparable with that of the coast.
Moreover, because it is close to the grassland, it is basically a semi-desert and semi-grassland area.
The whole of Dulan mainly lives on the Chahan Wusu River.
This great river is the mother river of the people of Duran, and all the water used for daily life, as well as irrigation and animal husbandry, must be counted on this great river.
"The Ancient God Emperor"
Water is the source of life!
The hot water tomb group is distributed on the north and south banks of the Chahan Wusu River.
Among them, the two Xuewei No. 1 tombs are located on the north bank of the Chahan Wusu River.
Luckily, Hot Water Township is also on the north bank of the Chahanwusu River, so the archaeological team does not have to cross the river to commute every day, which is relatively convenient.
After arriving in Shuhui Township, the archaeological team members of the Institute of Archaeology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences met with the archaeological team members of the Qinghai Institute of Archaeology almost non-stop, and immediately held a meeting for the next excavation work.
In the conference room, the heads of the two archaeological institutes quickly agreed on the preliminary work arrangement.
First, a unified hierarchical control network and recording system should be established. Conduct overall zoning and comprehensive mapping of the Hot Water Tomb Group!
Adopt a full-coverage virtual layout to improve the measurement and control network!
Because the hot water tomb group as a whole is in the gentle slope area at the foot of the mountain and the water, and the alluvial fan platform with a deep loess layer!
There's nothing to cover it up with weeds, jungles or forests.
It is very suitable to use modern archaeological equipment, in accordance with the archaeological work specifications of large ruins, using the power of science and technology, virtual layout, and scientific and technological equipment for measurement and control!
In this way, the frequent surveying and mapping of manpower is omitted, and only 3D molding with the help of equipment is needed to draw a probe.
Then, according to the exploration data given by the equipment, the archaeological team members directly excavated and finished!
Two words.
Convenient!
