Chapter 1 A Seaside Town
United Kingdom
July 30, 1991.
Surrey County
The town of Notte, a small coastal town, is a fishing business.
The waves crashed against the reef, splashing white spray. A figure sprang out of the water with the momentum of the rising waves, and his right hand clutched onto the reef.
A thick layer of calluses had already grown on his hands, avoiding scratches from shellfish barnacles on the reef.
When the waves receded, the man hurried up to the reef and stood firmly on it.
"Huh? The sun is about to set? Linde frowned, carrying a fat sea fish in his left hand.
"Anyway, it's been almost 12 years since I came to this world!"
Yes, Linde, whose full name is Linde Green Augustus, is a time-traveler from the Blue Star.
Before the crossing, he was just an ordinary college student, and his usual life was to stay up late every day to watch dramas, read books and exercise intermittently, so he can be said to be an ordinary person among ordinary people.
In his junior year, because of his long-term schedule and rest disorder and various life vices, illness took his life.
But he didn't expect God to give him another life. It also allowed him to meet the woman who gave him his name.
Evelyn Augustus was a kind grandmother who grew up in this town and rarely left the town in her life.
Over the decades, Evelyn has adopted hundreds of orphans, given them things, taught them how to behave, and found happy families for them. Only a few children were raised by her alone because they were too maverick or difficult to discipline.
And Linde Augustus is a child who was raised by Evelyn because he was a maverick, and of course he didn't want to be adopted by the others.
Above him, there is another brother who is naughty and no one wants to adopt.
And half a year ago, this kind old woman died in the town's hospital because of her advanced age.
Linde tucked her blonde curls that had already reached her shoulders. A handsome face is pale and bloodless because it has been soaked in water for a long time.
Add a pair of long canine teeth to him, and he'll be perfect for the vampire girls in the small town school.
Linde carried the fish and jumped left and right on the successive reefs, his figure scattered, as if he were walking, and in a short time he jumped to the shore.
He was about to look back at the sunset over the sea when he saw an owl flying towards him, and the owl was holding a letter at its feet.
Looking at the owl coming towards him, Linde chuckled in his heart, this familiar scene made him think something different.
"No......"
Before he could think about it, the brown owl flew over his head and dropped the letter, and then landed aside, its eyes fixed on the fish in his hand.
Lind didn't care what was going on in the owl's head right now, but grabbed the letter.
The pale yellow envelope is cemented by a thick red wax seal marked with an uppercase "H", and there is a shield-like coat of arms with a capital "H" in the center, surrounded by a lion, a snake, an eagle, and a badger.
On the other side of the envelope was written in dark green ink:
Surrey County
Knott Town
on the beach
Att. Mr. Lind Greene Augustus
Linde's hand holding the envelope trembled slightly, he always knew he was different.
You can wander in the sea all day without feeling tired and hypothermic, and you can sense the emotions of small animals to a certain extent, and even communicate with smarter animals without barriers.
But the boldest conjecture in his mind was nothing more than ...... Will he be the outcast child of some Atlantis, and he will compete with a muscular man for the throne in the future.
I have to admit that his most daring conjecture is really a little small in front of this letter.
Linde gasped, hurriedly opened the wax seal, took out the two brown paper letters inside, and read:
ββββββββ
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
Headmaster: Albus Dumbledore (President of the International Confederation of Wizards, First Class Grand Magician of the Order of Merlin, Chief Magician of the Wizengamot)
Dear Mr. Augustus, We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Enclosed is a list of the required books and equipment.
Semester is scheduled to begin on September 1. We will wait for your owl to hear back from you by July 31.
Vice-Chancellor: Minerva McGonagall.
ββββββββ
After reading the letter, he picked up another one and read it:
ββββββββ
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
γUniformγ
First-year students need to......
β¦β¦ A brass balance
Students are allowed to bring an owl or a cat or a toad
Parents are reminded that first-year students are not allowed to bring their own broomsticks.
ββββββββ
Quickly scan the entire letter. Linde sighed and tossed the fish in his hand to the owl who had been coveting him for a long time. He picked up the clothes on the ground and put them on.
He had no reason to doubt the accuracy of the letter, and in a world where there were no Harry Potter novels, he had only thought it had been out yet, and it was impossible for someone to take the trouble to train an owl and perfectly reproduce a Hogwarts letter to prank him.
Hogwarts freshmen in 1991, are you afraid? Fear!
To go or not to go? Definitely going to go!
Who can refuse magic, personal strength is always something that men pursue, and Linde is no exception.
After getting dressed, Lind put the letter in his trouser pocket and asked the owl who was eating on the side suspiciously
"It said that I was waiting for a reply before July 31, but today it is already the 30th, why did this letter come so late."
The owl raised its beak and tilted its head to look at Linde, perhaps for the first time in its career, it had encountered a little Muggle wizard who would actively communicate with owls
It's a pity that its head tilted left and right and reversed one hundred and eighty degrees, and still can't figure out the brain circuit of this little Muggle wizard, so it simply doesn't want to, and quacks answers Linde's question twice.
"Are you saying that recently there was a family of stupid X who didn't want to answer the letter, so they delayed at least half of the owls in the school?"
Well, with that, Linde also thought about which family the stupid X family that the owl said in his mouth was.
In 1991, it seemed that Harry Potter was the only one who was reluctant to access the school letter...... Oh no, I think it's the Dursleys.
After all, the Dursleys hated wizards the most, and of course, there must have been some jealousy in them.
"Quackβ"
"No, how much more do you want to eat, this fish is half the size of you."
"Goo-"
"It's getting dark, I'm going to get you some fish, but there are others, and I happen to have money today.
By the way, don't leave for a while, I don't have an owl reply, you can help me send the letter back later. β
After saying this, the owl flew up and stood on Linde's thin shoulder, as if he had suddenly disliked the half-eaten fish, and quacked happily in his mouth.
"Okay, okay, let's go eat something good first."
In this way, a man and a bird slowly walked towards the town.
He'll have to rechart his future.
