CHAPTER XX: Photographs
Felius Flitwick.
Because of his elven blood, he has an extraordinary talent for spells and a long lifespan, and it is rumored that he may be older than Dumbledore, whose beard grew to his waist.
When he was young, he was a frequent participant in major wizard dueling tournaments, and he was one of the top people in the world in terms of spell casting speed, spell casting level, and understanding of spells.
He is currently the head of the Ravenclaw Academy, a short, mild-mannered man who teaches Charms.
His class was one of the students' favorite subjects because Professor Flitwick was not strict with the students, and everyone was free to move around and even joke with him during the class.
Now, he looked at the little wizard in front of him with a gentle expression, Lind Green Augustus.
Judging by his current performance, a young man whose talent is not weaker than him at all, and he works extremely hard.
When Linde heard Flitwick's words, his face turned red, and his whole heart beat faster. He felt that even when a girl confessed to herself in his previous life, he had never been so excited.
"Yes, of course." Lind said eagerly.
Professor Flitwick was very satisfied with his answer, and a smile of admiration for Linde was undisguised on his face.
"Come and sit down, you know, it's not that easy to get the approval of those little wizards in the club."
Lind also knew that people in the Charms Club would not recognize this first-year guy just because Professor Flitwick spoke.
Lindh had to show that he could communicate with them...... No, it should be the ability to listen to their communication.
"Of course, it won't be too hard for you. I heard from Mrs. Hooch that you tried to use a 'spell to stop' on that raven of yours.
So what I ask of you is, now, a week from now, show me this spell.
It's Thursday, and the Charms Club's weekly assembly is Friday. So......" Professor Flitwick gave a familiar expression.
Lind's heart was about to pop out when he heard Professor Flitwick's words.
"Professor, I think I've mastered the curse." He gasped.
Professor Flitwick looked surprised, his mouth wide open in disbelief.
He still remembered what Hooch had said to him: "I also showed him the Termination Charm. To be honest, he had already grasped a little trick of the spell at the time, and I don't think he would be able to master it in a few days.
You know, this is a third-year class, and other young wizards may not know about the existence of this spell! ”
That's why he only gave Linde a week.
But Linde told him that he had mastered the spell.
Surprise followed by delight, he stretched out his finger and pointed at the photo cabinet that Linde had just seen, and a picture frame flew over.
A silent, wandless flying spell.
Professor Flitwick took the flying picture frame and reached out to touch the photograph, which was covered with a layer of white fog, making it difficult to see the photograph inside.
"'Don't Look at Others' is an unknown and useful spell that makes the contents of the enchanted object invisible to anyone other than the caster.
Historically, it has some similarities with the Transfiguration Charm. ”
As he spoke, Professor Flitwick handed the frame to Linde.
"Try to break the spell, with the Termination Charm." He looked at Linde expectantly.
Linde adjusted his mood and drew his wand.
"Stop!"
Before the spell could work, Professor Flitwick simply listened to Linde's pronunciation and wand swing trajectory before nodding his head and smiling in satisfaction.
Just as Professor Flitwick had thought, the white fog slowly faded away, and Lind saw Professor Flitwick in action in the photo.
Seeing Linde's performance, Professor Flitwick was even more happy. "In that case, would you like to accept a challenge?"
Linde had a puzzled expression.
"At Charms Club, there's a special reward system. If a young wizard has made a very good speech or learned a spell of "relatively speaking" difficulty.
Then he will be able to draw a photo from my photo wall as a reward. ”
Linde looked at the photograph in his hand, on which Professor Flitwick did not have a thick beard and deep wrinkles, and the black mustache was very delicately cultivated.
There was an indelible anger on his face, and an unstoppable smile on the corner of his mouth.
This is Flitwick, the Charms Professor, this is Flitwick, the King of Spells in the dueling arena.
The wand in his hand was waving in a standard way, and the words were muttering in his mouth.
"Except for your weapons!"
Lind took one look at the photographs, and he understood the best use of them.
These photos are the most standard Charms instructional videos.
Professor Flitwick commits that "the spells in these pictures range from extremely difficult weather spells to extremely powerful blasting spells.
Your challenge is to show me the spell at the Charms Club in two months' time. If you do, you can continue to draw spells from above.
Since the inception of my club, the highest record is for a child to complete the challenge three times in a row. On the fourth time, he drew the Patronus Charm, and the challenge ended. ”
Learning to disarm the spell in two months was extremely difficult for him, a young wizard in the first grade.
It was a challenge.
Professor Flitwick expected Linde to have a face of frustration, embarrassment, or confidence, or complete distraction.
But he didn't expect Linde to have this expression - fanatical.
Finally, after some conversation, Flitwick sent Linde away. Before leaving, the professor told Lind to remember to attend the first club meeting tomorrow night.
Shortly after Lind left, Professor Flitwick's door was pushed open again, and another young wizard entered.
"Hello Professor Flitwick, I heard you were looking for me."
"Welcome, Cedric......"
————————
Lind hugged the frame, looking as she went, trying to memorize every movement on the magic photograph.
It took two months to learn such a spell, which was extremely difficult.
The hardest magic he'll ever have so far is to grow faster. Then there are a few basic spells such as fluorescent flashes, oolong out of the hole, flames, and lockpicking spells.
And after the last time he tried to whirlwind the wind, he still set his sights on the basic spell.
Charms class was arguably the hardest, George and Fred had said in Harry's sixth year, "Most of the guys in the Ministry of Magic can't even put a decent Iron Armor Charm......
When Harry was in his fifth year, when they formed the DA Army, Harry taught the spells of disarming, petrification, and ironclad.
Back in the Gryffindor common room, Linde continued to read and study into the evening.
He had read several books from that semester, but he had been practicing spells, and without the challenging challenge given by Professor Flitwick, he was confident that he would have mastered the first year of charms and transfiguration in two months.
Talent, Linde knows very well that he has it, but it is not very brilliant. Compared to other little wizards, his advantage is a more mature way of learning, a more calm mind.
And he was holding a book all the time and reading it, and he was always sorting out the magic system in his mind. And now he doesn't sleep in his dorm almost every night.
Every night, I run to the Room of Need, practice on my own, and then go to the water to recover.
In addition to the Charms and Transfiguration classes, he only previews and reviews the rest of the Potions and Herbs classes. History of magic, Defense Against the Dark Arts, etc., he didn't even look at it, let alone preview and review, he didn't even listen to the class.
