Chapter 39: Testing

When Lind arrived at the Gryffindor break room, it was curfew, and Filch stared at him outside the portrait of the fat lady and walked into the tunnel, as if regretting why Lind hadn't arrived a few minutes late.

Then you can catch him.

Compared to the darkness and desertion outside the common room, the inside of the common room was full of fire, and the young wizards of Gryffindor were more energetic than the people from other houses.

The dancing flames in the fireplace dispelled the November cold, but the environment seemed a little too hot and noisy to him.

As soon as he entered, he heard Hermione yelling, "How can you learn like this, impossible, don't think about it." You have to do your homework. ”

She sat at the table, opposite two awkward little wizards, with parchment in front of them but couldn't figure out what to do: Ron and Harry.

Tomorrow is a new week, and both of them still have a lot of homework to do, the most difficult of which is the Transfiguration assignment, Professor McGonagall asked them to turn a matchbox into a cup last week, which is simply stumped for the little wizards.

They were also asked to write at least three parchment essays after class to explain their perceptions and problems when they were transformed, which made most people, including Harry and Ron, miserable.

Ron, who had just been scolded by Hermione with an embarrassed face, glanced at Linde who came in, and didn't know what the hell he had in mind, maybe he wanted Linde to copy his homework.

To be honest, if it weren't for the fact that they had a common "secret" on Halloween last time, he wouldn't have dared to have such thoughts, after all, Linde really makes people feel bad to get along. But after that time, it was different, after all, there was some friendship, didn't it?

As Lind passed by them, Ron hurried up to Linde and asked for his Transfiguration article.

"Absolutely." Linde said. Ron laughed so happily when he heard this, and looked at Hermione defiantly.

"Linde, how can you do this." Hermione was a little angry.

"Why not? Anyway, he wanted to copy it himself, didn't he? Whether or not he copied my papers had nothing to do with whether I had learned anything or not.

Since he chose to copy his homework, he must be mentally prepared to learn nothing. But what does it matter, anyway, he will graduate after seven years of studying at Hogwarts every year.

Right, you two.

Since you choose to copy your homework, you must be prepared to learn nothing. After all, how can you not pay a price for such an easy thing as copying homework. Lind smiled and looked at Ron and Harry.

"We're just...... Just ......"

"I just forgot to write my homework, and now it's too late, and I'm worried that I won't be able to turn it in on time tomorrow. I know, I know. Linde just looked at them with a blank face, calmly.

"Well, I throw in the towel. You're right. Ron raised his hands in surrender.

"Big deal I won't sleep tonight, I don't believe this homework can stump us, right, Harry." He turned his head to look at Harry, hoping he would join him in a hard fight.

Harry was also stimulated by Linde's words, and he slapped the table and stood up and said, "Yes, we're not stupid."

However, when they looked back, they found that Linde had walked up the spiral staircase leading to the dormitory at some point.

At this time, Jane walked over with a glass of lemonade, looked at the two of them who were boiling with enthusiasm, and asked suspiciously, "What's wrong with the two of them?"

Hermione then repeated what Lind had said as best she could.

After listening to the cause and effect, Jane chuckled a few times, then took out two black objects from her bag and handed them to the two who had been beaten with chicken blood.

"Powerful coffee candy, you're going to be able to use it tonight, I'm convinced of that."

"You're still going to carry this candy with you?" Hermione asked curiously.

"It's just an occasional carry, but it's actually quite delicious when you're used to it." Jane laughed, and then she read the book as well.

Although the title of the book is very middle-two, it is really a book that chronicles the lives of some of the most powerful wizards of each century, and gives these wizards the title of King of the Century.

This is the 1899 version, and the latest version was only released in 1999. The new version will update some of the most famous and powerful wizards of the century.

However, modern wizards have a good idea of the "king of the century" of this century. Gellert Grindelwald and Albus Dumbledore must be on the list.

Now the British wizarding community generally believes that Voldemort can also get the title of King of the Century, but wizards in other countries do not agree with it.

Jane was looking at what was going on about Salazar Slytherin when Hermione suddenly asked her, "And have you been having nightmares lately?"

"Of course not, no one has nightmares every night." Jane laughed helplessly, signaling that Hermione had been normal lately.

"That's good!" It sounded like Hermione breathed a sigh of relief.

Harry, who was hot-blooded, suddenly let out a wail. He looked at the parchment in front of him.

He only felt that he was a writer. It only took a short paragraph to summarize everything in his entire class.

Then he glanced at Ron, good fellow, this is a great writer, and it only took two sentences to summarize it all.

Then he and Ron looked at Hermione pitifully.

"Don't even think about it."

"You misunderstood, I'm still passionate about my homework, but ...... But I need some help. Harry said quickly.

"From the help of the best, most beautiful, and kindest little witch in the first grade." Ron hurriedly answered.

"I'm not going to help you, don't even think about it." Jane said that she naturally accepted adjectives such as the best, the most beautiful, and the kindest.

Then the group fought for a while before they began to do their homework under Hermione's guidance.

By the time they went to bed, they were the last to leave.

Not long after they left, there was the sound of unhurried footsteps on the spiral staircase. Linde put on his black robe and walked out of the lounge again.

Coming to the Room of Requirement, Linde walked directly into the pool room, and this time he wanted to try out where the threshold would be for his body to change.

He took off his robe and set it aside, and he began the test.

"One arm is immersed in water. The palms of the hands entering the water are webbed, which is difficult to control independently, and there is no change in the water-soaked arms. There is no change in the part that has not entered the water. ”

"Only the skull is immersed in water, and fins, ears, gills appear. It is difficult to control autonomously, and there is no change in the rest of the parts, and there is no change in the parts that have not entered the water. ”

"When one foot is immersed in water, flippers appear on the soles of the feet, and there is no change in the rest of the foot."

……

"When the lower body is immersed in water, the whole body changes, and the water flow automatically follows the skin upwards and wraps the whole body."

Then he climbed on the edge of the pool, hooked his hands on the small steps on the edge, and in turn soaked his entire upper body in the water.

"The upper body is immersed in water, and the whole body changes. The water flows along the skin ......"

After this experiment, he also learned a little more about his body.

If a small part of the body is in the water, then only the body that is soaked in the water will change. It takes 15s~30s.

If you are immersed in water or more, the current will slowly and automatically envelop your whole body, and then your whole body will change. The water-soaked part completes the change in 15s~30s.

The rest of the area will start to change after the water is wrapped. It's about a minute and a half.

He then began to test how long it would take him to change from fish-human form to human form.

This is a simple one, and Linde tests it with different levels of body wetness.

If it comes out of the water directly, it is estimated that it will take 3~5 minutes to return to human form.

If you wipe off the water droplets on your body with a towel, it only takes 1-3 minutes to turn back into a human being.

After that, he used the quick-drying spell to dry himself directly, and the speed of turning back into a human was less than half a minute.

In other words, whether he can become a fish-man or a human depends largely on the contact area between his body and the water body.

However, it is also possible that because this is an experiment, he is not very able to control his emotions accurately. Or maybe it's because I'm too young and so on.

But that doesn't explain his sudden transformation into a fish-man in the hallway today, so he needs more diverse experiments.

Air humidity, simulated rain, and most importantly, emotional desire control, to name a few.
