Chapter 116: Self-test
No sooner had they stepped into the shady foyer than they saw Professor McGonagall pacing over, "You're back, Potter and Weasley," she said, looking at the two of the children, "you two stay for the night." Hey, what's the situation with you? β
She frowned and watched as Ron spat out a slug.
"Well, there's something wrong with Ron's wand, but it shouldn't be a big deal!" Harry hesitated. By this time, Ron had spit out a lot fewer slugs, and he was a little smaller.
"Alright, Weasley." As she spoke, Professor McGonagall waved her wand and tapped it at Ron's head, "You'll go see Madam Pomfrey later." β
The emerald green light flashed across Ron's head, and Ron suddenly felt a tumult in his stomach, bent over and vomited, and a bunch of slugs poured out of his mouth.
"Uh......" Professor McGonagall narrowed her eyes in discomfort, and with a flick of her wand, a large pool of slugs on the ground vanished.
"Thank you, Professor." Ron whispered, and then hiccuped.
"What are we going to do at night, teacher?" Ron asked, nervously holding back another hiccup.
"You go and help Mr. Filch wipe the silverware in the prize showroom," Professor McGonagall said, "and don't use magic, Weasleyβall by hand." β
Ron gasped. Filch is someone that all students hate. In the same way, Ron felt that he also hated all the students.
"Potter, you go and help Professor Lockhart reply to his admirers." Professor McGonagall said.
"Ah, no, I'm going to wipe the prize too?" Harry begged.
"Of course not," Professor McGonagall raised an eyebrow, "Professor Lockhart wants you by name." Remember, eight o'clock in the evening. With that, Professor McGonagall left.
"I can't understand why Lockhart is so ...... Hold on to me like this. Harry held his head in despair.
"Hmm, maybe Dumbledore wants you to know how ridiculous it is that someone has no fame but no ability to match?!" It occurred to Linde that this matter. He didn't say it, though.
Ron finally wiped the mucus from the corner of his mouth, and Lind walked over to him, "You can rinse your mouth with a water charm." I'm curious about what wand you were trying to use against Malfoy, though. β
"I tried to cast a slug spell on him, and I was disgusted ......," Ron said.
"Slug Curse," Linde was a little surprised, "does it work the same as your own?" "Linde didn't know that there was a curse that could make people spit out slugs, and he thought it was a new spell that could be studied due to an accident, so he was so concerned.
If this was indeed a spell that had never been seen before, Lind might be able to study it and see if he could figure out the corresponding chant of the spell and the trajectory of the wand.
This kind of research from nothing will definitely give him a deeper understanding of Charms, like solving a finale math problem.
"Well, I've seen Fred use it, it's disgusting." Ron said with a blushing face, he didn't understand why Lind cared about this.
"Okay!" Lynd felt a little sorry, since the spell already had a mature spell and casting trajectory, it didn't have much appeal to Lynde. The role alone didn't make him exclaim.
After that, Linde said goodbye to a few people and walked away alone.
"I can't believe he said something like that!" Ron looked at his back and whispered.
"What?" Harry asked.
"That's what he just said. Those words about the mudbloods, purebloods. Ron replied.
Hermione was a little puzzled, "What's wrong with that?" β
"You and Hermione probably don't understand." Jane also said, "Pure-blood superiority is a deeply ingrained belief in the minds of Slytherins, and of course, I don't mean all of them. β
"But Salazar himself is not superior to Slytherin's proverbs." Hermione said indignantly.
"Come on, just look at Malfoy. He is simply the best embodiment of Slytherin of this era. Jane said disdainfully, "Linde's words were not infallible, but they were the equivalent of scolding all Slytherin students. β
"Isn't that correct?" Harry and Ron asked aloud, puzzled.
"At least most of them are born with a rich family inheritance to inherit." Jane glanced at Harry, leaving them speechless.
"Will he be retaliated against by Slytherin?" Hermione asked worriedly.
"We're not going to let that happen," Harry affirmed. "I'll keep an eye on Malfoy."
"That's right! He said those things for us. And I don't think he's wrong. Even they themselves didn't have anything to refute at the time, did they! Ron also said impassionedly.
"Then you'd better get a new wand first!" Jane kindly reminded, "Remember what I said? β
Ron's face changed for a moment, and then he nodded resolutely. "Okay, I'll borrow it." In order to protect my Gryffindor friends, I was willing to take on a huge debt at a young age.
"But how do I go about buying a wand?" Ron suddenly thought.
"Ask Professor McGonagall! I don't think she'll be able to stand it anymore. Hermione whispered.
ββββββββ
It was close to October, when Ron asked Professor McGonagall for a wand change and she took him on a trip to Diagon Alley to find Ollivander, and since then, he has been saddled with a huge debt of seven Galleons.
Ron said at the time that he was relieved to see Professor McGonagall.
And there's nothing worth saying other than Hermione joining the Charms Club.
Cedric says he's going to take the OWLs exam, so he's more serious at the club than everybody.
Even though the school year has only just begun, and OWLs are at the end of next school year.
It's almost two years apart.
And Linde can be sure that he definitely has the strength to get an O on the exam, but he still feels that he is not safe enough and needs to work harder.
He said he didn't want to lose his friends at the Charms Club.
At that time, Lind also went to ask Professor Flitwick for last year's OWLs test questions to test himself with Cedric and Hermione.
Cedric easily got the double O's, and he performed perfectly in the written and practical tests, but he still said that the questions change every year and he should continue to work harder.
Linde's written test is at the level of E, and he almost got to O, but his practice is much worse, and he can't put a lot of spells, so he can only barely be regarded as A-level, but he feels that he should be able to reach E-level if he does it again.
Hermione was a little worse, double A's, and her eyes were red with this score.
The results of the trio can be exclaimed outside the club, and even within the club there are many people who say they are excellent. However, most of the evaluations are made taking into account the grade and accumulation issues.
However, these three people are not satisfied with this result, and when they come to this environment, they do not compare themselves with the outside.
Set a small goal first, Linde wrote in his notebook.
At the end of this school year, I will achieve the double O of OWLs of Spells and Transfiguration.
