Chapter 114: The Curse of Swan Lake

I'm obsessed with Swan Lake. I think every girl who has studied ballet is obsessed with it, and she has longed in her heart to become a real "Ojeta".

The beauty, purity, and nobility of Odetta are undoubtedly a model of the classic image of love.

However, it's like there is an American movie "Black Swan". Swan Lake is as much about magic as its story itself. I think "Swan Lake" is also a fable that makes people feel that life is magical!

Swan Lake is a story about love. Maybe love itself is too mysterious, so it and magic seem to go hand in hand, or maybe love itself is a kind of magic. People don't know how it came about, changed and disappeared.

This century-old classic, the plot is not complicated. However, as it reveals, the ending varies. There are two versions of comedy and tragedy, and I think maybe this is just as the ending of love has two outcomes of tragedy and comedy, and the reason for keeping the two endings is perhaps because people think that their probabilities are the same. The highest probability of a happy ending is no more than 50%, which is the true face of life!

The story of Swan Lake is based on a story called "The Enchanted Veil" in the collection of fairy tales published in 1786, German Folk Fairy Tales. The great Tchaikovsky gave this fairy tale a beautiful soul.

Tchaikovsky's ballet "Swan Lake" consists of 4 acts.

Odetta, a princess who picks flowers by the lake, is turned into a swan by a vicious spell cast by the vicious demon king Rosbart. She can only change back into human form at night. Only steadfast love can break the magic of evil.

The old king died, and Prince Siegfried would soon inherit the throne, so a big wedding had to take place. The prince feared losing his freedom, and he was reluctant to marry someone he didn't love. On the occasion of his 21st birthday, the prince and his friends were gathering in the courtyard of the castle, and the servant Banno arranged a birthday party and tried to make the prince happy, but the queen suddenly arrived, she was surprised by the noisy banquet, and reminded the prince that the palace was still in state mourning, and the queen left, leaving a depressed Chigfried. Banno asks the two courtesans to dance to please the prince, and when the music is up, Banno enthusiastically dances to toast the future king. At the end of the dance, a group of swans flew over the prince's head in pairs, and Banno suggested that the prince try a new crossbow, and they hunted and chased in the direction where the swans had flew.

The prince and Banno came to the lake, and the prince sent Banno to look for the swans. Left alone, he caught the attention of the Demon King Rosbarth.

Suddenly a swan approached, and the prince was amazed to see a dignified and noble swan slowly turning into a delicate and delicate maiden. The beautiful maiden tells the handsome prince about her tragic life. It turns out that she is a princess named Ojeta, and the hateful demon king has turned her and her companions into swans, and they can only regain their human form in the middle of the night. Only steadfast love can break the magic of evil. The prince firmly believes that the princess is the sweetheart of his dreams.

The Demon King is overheard and discovered, and the Prince wants to shoot him, but Odjeta pleads with the Prince not to kill the Demon King, otherwise the spell will never be broken. Odetta warns the prince that if he breaks his vow of love, she will be a swan forever. When the dawn broke, the prince vowed to deliver her from her misery, and vowed to keep this eternal love in his heart. Odjeta and her companions turned back into swans and returned to the lake

The beauties of the nations to be chosen are gathered in the ballroom of the castle, and the prince must choose a fiancΓ©e from among them. The princesses danced to please the prince, but the prince's mind was not on them and he refused to make a choice. A loud trumpet sounded, announcing the arrival of two uninvited guests. They are the envoys of the Demon King Rosbart in disguise and his daughter Ogilia. Rosebarth transforms Ogillia into Ojeta, and the prince is captivated by the seemingly unidentified visitor who looks like Ojeta, convinced that it is his swan princess on the dance floor.

As the prince and Ogilia danced together, Odetta appeared at the window and begged the prince to remember the oath he had taken to her, but the prince was distracted by the Demon King's charm. At the request of the Demon King, the prince raises his hand and vows of love to Ogilia - the Demon King's plot succeeds, and Odetta cries out in despair to leave.

Lightning and thunder roared, and the ballroom was in chaos, and the prince came to his senses of despair, but it was too late, and he had renewed his vows of love to others. The deceived prince rushes out in search of the real Ojeta.

Comedy version of the ending:

Heartbroken, Odjeta returns to the shores of Swan Lake heartbroken. The Demon King creates a blizzard that prevents the prince from searching for Ojeta.

The prince eventually finds Ojeta, but neither infinite love nor endless remorse can change the consequences of the breach of the covenant, and the spell can no longer be broken, and the prince and princess are separated from each other. The Demon King took on a hideous appearance and turned the princess and the girls into swans and drifted on the lake.

The grief-stricken prince and princess embraced each other, and with the belief that they could not love or die, they both jumped into the raging waves of the lake.

In an instant, a miracle occurred, justice triumphed over evil, steadfast love triumphed over all evil demons, magic shattered, the devil's cave collapsed, the lake receded, and the swan girls were reborn.

The prince and princess are bathed in the glow of the rising sun, and the beautiful life begins again.

Tragic version of the ending:

1) The prince and the white swan both threw themselves into the lake to be martyred, the magic of the other swans was lifted, and the demon king died.

2) The prince was killed by the demon's magic, and the swan's magic was not lifted, and the swan was taken away by the demon king.

Russia's "Swan Lake" is played in two endings in turn. Some countries in Europe and the United States focus on the tragic version of the ending, including our Chinese version of "Swan Lake", which is the ending of the tragic version 2. It seems to be the most tragic ending.

In this way, people think that the closest quality to love is sacrifice.

From a practical utilitarian point of view, from the moment Chigfried became infatuated with Odjeta, it is difficult to say whether it is the beginning of happiness or the origin of disaster, right?

The curtain opened, and Andre and I began to indulge in the picturesque romantic fairy tale of Swan Lake.

In the second scene, as the oboe played a soft tune, a group of girls who had been turned into swans appeared on the stage, and the moving and poignant image attracted me deeply.

The whole tone of Swan Lake is quite poignant. However, under the main theme, the toddler of the four little swans and the solo dance of the clever Banno also let the audience enjoy some lighthearted, cheerful clips.

We watched the ending of the comedy that day.

Sitting in the car, I was still thinking about the classic and beautiful melody in my mind, and the white and graceful figure of the swan girl on the blue lake was still flashing in front of me.

Andrei was driving the car, and he asked me:

- "Lina, why don't you dance ballet?" ”

- "I'm not talented enough. ”

- "Did you skip Odetta?" ”

- "No, I only jumped the little swan, and no one in our class had the ability to jump Odjeta at that time"

- "You should have jumped Odjeta!" ”

- "Why? ”

- "I've always said that you don't look like anybody, and today I think I'm wrong, and I find that you are especially like Odjeta. It's not like, you're Odjeta, Lina."

I looked at Andre in the rearview mirror, who was driving intently, but his thoughtful eyes seemed to be very serious when he said this.
