Chapter 305: Flea Market
Like other cities, Moscow has its own unique flea market.
If you want to find the most Russian-style souvenirs, then the flea market is the first choice. It is also a popular place for tourists from all over the world.
Like the flea markets in Europe, almost all goods with Russian characteristics are available here.
From handicrafts such as Russian-style oil paintings, matryoshka dolls, amber, beeswax, crystals, lacquer boxes, and sake jugs to military supplies of the former Soviet army, such as pilots' helmets, bells on submarines, officers' uniforms, supplies, military watches, etc.
There are also colorful costumes and woven ornaments in the Russian style...... These are the things that best reflect the breath of Russian national life.
Moscow's flea markets have the characteristics of Russian goods, which are rare in the markets of other countries.
Here you can see not only a lot of memorabilia about the war and the army, but also Soviet-era technology, such as military binoculars, gas masks, divers' helmets, etc., are generously displayed on the stalls.
Here you can feel the most authentic "past" and life in Moscow. It's like walking into a museum of the history of Russia.
If you're lucky, you'll occasionally see heirloom items sold by the former aristocracy for their livelihoods, such as silver cutlery.
If you have an eye, you may be able to find a real treasure.
Things like amber, furs, wooden dolls, top hats, and coats are all popular among tourists. Matryoshka dolls, binoculars, Russian watches, World War II veterans' memorabilia, fridge magnets, wine glasses, and more are all great souvenirs for tourists and gifts for family and friends.
The next day, I took the group of VIPs to the most famous flea market in Moscow.
The gates of the market are decorated with cartoon motifs of Russian folklore. Entering the market is like entering a fairy tale. The first thing that catches your eye is the pillows and woven products with various patterns and patterns, with gorgeous and bright colors, full of festive atmosphere!
My group members were amazed by the quirky wares. Looking at their dizzying looks, I breathed a sigh of relief, it looks like I've come to the right place for them!
The female tourist pulled me to help her choose the jewelry box for the stall: the jewelry box here is also very distinctive, with images of ballerinas, cityscapes or Russian beauties on the polished glass surface, each of which is very delicate.
I saw three other people at the stall selling fur hats, curiously studying the styles of these hats, and they were also communicating with the stall owners in a gesture. The bearded stall owner enthusiastically tried on a hat for one of them.
Seeing everyone so happy made me feel better.
Let's move on,
Moscow's flea market offers almost all the most souvenirs in Russia: from small refrigerator magnets and keychains to large Russian binoculars and knives, expensive ones include Russian furs, Seiko watches, Russian military ......, Russian writers with personalities, cosmonaut Gagarin cups and plates, vintage film cameras and World War II commemorative coins, early stamps, books in periods, Russian wine glasses, traditional jewelry, special amber and malachite...... It's literally everything.
Looking at these old objects, I really feel like I'm visiting a museum.
Suddenly, thousands of eye-catching matryoshka dolls appeared in front of me.
We were pleasantly surprised to stop in front of these adorable nesting dolls.
