Chapter Twenty-Four: Hogsmeade
Norin walked around Hogwarts Castle without showing the slightest sign of anomalies.
There were a lot of people coming and going, and everyone was full of energy, dressed in their own clothes, and roamed the castle freely.
On Halloween Eve, the ghosts also regained some playfulness, pretending to be ghosts and scaring people. It can't be said to be pretending, they are similar to ghosts. It's a pity that who in the castle doesn't know about the existence of ghosts, where will they be frightened. Norlin had already been crossed by several ghosts, and he didn't react at all.
Norlin calmly walked to the fifth floor of the castle, and the place was almost inactive.
Norin came to a large mirror, looked around sneakily, and when he was sure there was no one, moved the mirror to the side.
A passage with a rather large entrance appeared in front of Norin's eyes.
Norin hurried into the passage and moved the mirror back.
The passage was pitch black, and I couldn't see my fingers. Norlin cast a fluorescent spell to see his surroundings clearly.
The passage is not narrow enough for a few people to move forward, but it looks in disrepair, and the road under your feet is potholed, and it is not easy to walk.
Norin walked forward without distraction, and the pale mask looked a little intimidating in the soft glow of the fluorescent spell.
The passage was very long, and after walking for more than an hour, a glimmer of light appeared in front of me.
"Knox." Norlin extinguished the glowing spell and strode out of the hallway.
Silver moonlight sprinkled on the ground, adding a layer of dreamy color to a small village. This is Hogsmeade, the only village in Britain where there are only wizards and no Muggles.
The exit of the passage is not far from the entrance to the village of Hogsmeade. Norlin pursed his lips, wrapped his cloak tightly, and walked forward in silence.
It is a very unique village, full of cottages and shops that specialize in thatching roofs. Norin walked all the way, and familiar shops such as Jokowi's joke shop, Duke Honey's candy shop, and the Three Broomsticks Hotel were all presented in his eyes one by one.
On the eve of Halloween, Hogsmeade did not go against tradition and hung up unique decorations. In addition, everyone here knows magic, but it gives people a depressing feeling of entering a ghost village.
Norlin had no intention of feeling the atmosphere of the village. He walked straight down the road, and around the corner, a room appeared. There is a pig's head hanging from the doorway that reads "Pig's Head Bar".
Norlin pushed the door open and entered the bar with the evening breeze. Several of the windows here are so thickly stained that light barely lets in, and a few candles are lit on the rough wooden table. Who would have thought that this cramped, dirty pub would be home to the younger brother of Dumbledore, the greatest white wizard of our time.
"Drink something?" An elderly man sits behind the bar with his eyes closed. He didn't seem to care much about business, there were few customers in the shop, and Nolin didn't open his eyes when he came.
Norlin glanced at the dirty cups on the bar, and thanked Bumin. He didn't beat around the bush and said straight to the point: "I need to inquire about some news, please help me find the most well-informed person." ”
Perhaps because of the slightly immature voice, Aberforth Dumbledore opened his eyes. There was no cloudiness in a pair of blue eyes.
Aberforth glanced at Norin and frowned, "Junior students? This is not the place you should be. ”
Norin's face was hidden behind a mask, and Aberforth couldn't see his expression. He said flatly: "Do you still need to look at the identity of the customer to do business?" ”
"It's kind of interesting." Aberforth said lazily, "Two Galleons." ”
As a black market leader, he doesn't bother to care about Norin's identity and purpose.
Norlin didn't hesitate and pulled out two Galleons and put them on the bar. Aberforth picked it up and looked at it carefully, and said, "It seems that the asking price is still a little less." Sit down and wait a minute. ”
Norlin picked a chair and sat down, his long cloak coiled on the ground. Aberforth ignored him, closed his eyes again, and did not move.
It wasn't long before the door of the bar was pushed open again. A shrill male voice shouted drunkly, "Aberforth, why do you still have business?" ”
Aberforth ignored him. The visitor looked left and right, and sat in front of Norin, with a strong smell of tobacco and alcohol mixed with his body.
"It's really rare to have business at such a late age in this peaceful day. Mundungus Fletsch. The visitor introduced himself, propped his hands on the table, and said, "Say, what do you want to know?" If the news is valuable, you have to pay more. ”
Norlin didn't speak immediately, and looked at the man in front of him. It was a bearded Humpty Dumpty wizard with long, tousled ginger hair, swollen bloodshot eyes, and an unpleasant cigarette in his mouth.
Norlin, of course, knew that Mundungus was the most well-informed person, and that the intelligence head of the Order of the Phoenix was not for nothing. But he didn't know how to contact Mundungus, so he had to let Aberforth do it for him.
"Do you know Liana Davis?" Norin was silent for a moment, his heart beating a few points faster, and he asked as calmly as he could.
"Little children?" Mundungus almost jumped. He thought that the man in front of him was just because of his small stature, but as soon as Norlin spoke, he confirmed that he was only an eleven or twelve year old.
Norin was a little distressed, he hadn't learned the Voice Changing Charm before he came. But now was not the time to dwell on this, he looked at Montungus coldly and did not answer.
Mundungus swallowed and foamed. For some reason, he felt some cold intimidation in the eyes of this suspected child, he cleared his throat and said, "The surname Davis doesn't seem to be common in the wizarding world. ”
Nonsense. Norin pouted secretly, his father was not a wizard in the first place.
"There are countless names in the wizarding world, but the most famous one is probably Liana Yaxley from decades ago." Mundungus patted his head and recalled.
Norlin's heart moved, but he didn't react and motioned for Mundungus to continue.
"I remembered that this Liana Yaxley had married a Muggle and it was quite a sensation." Mundungus took a hard puff of his cigarette and comfortably exhaled a smoke ring.
"Who is she?" Norin pressed the thoughts in his head and asked quietly.
"Who? She was a gifted girl from the Yaxley family, with amazing looks and talent. There was a hint of longing in Mundungus's eyes.
Norin's eyes narrowed dangerously. Mundungus suddenly felt a chill, he sneered, and continued: "At that time, many people admired her, but in the end, this famous witch actually married a Muggle ......."
"Witch?" Norlin interrupted him and asked in surprise.
"Yes, witch. This is her recognized nickname. She graduated from Slytherin at Hogwarts and was known for her perverse and unpredictable tactics after graduating. I don't know exactly what she's done, but occasionally I've heard about it related to a mysterious person. After marrying a Muggle, she vanished. Mundungus's shoulders visibly shrank to the naked eye. Even though Voldemort had been "dead" for ten years, his notoriety still terrified him.
Norin couldn't come back to his senses. He wouldn't have thought that the mother who was so virtuous and gentle in the family would be the witch in Mondigus's mouth, and she was also involved with Voldemort? He finally got some news, but more mysteries poured over him.
