Chapter 139: Basilisk? Basilisk!
Norlin casually turned the chair in his office into a mirror, and scrutinized the wings behind him.
His mind moved, and his wings obediently began to flapped slightly, as if they could rise into the air at any moment, as if he had been in the same state as he had been in Animagus.
Norlin smiled with satisfaction, and controlled his wings back into ribs and into his body. The robe was pierced with two large holes, and it seems that how to design the robe in the future is also a problem.
At this moment, outside the office, there seemed to be a strange sound coming.
"Rustling ......"
Seems...... It is the sound of a reptilian body rubbing against the ground.
Norin frowned, his face suddenly changed, and with a hint of disbelief, he quickly pushed open the door and rushed out.
β¦β¦
"I've searched everywhere I can, but I still don't know where he is."
Harry propped his hands on the wall and said angrily, "In that case, I'm the only one who goes." β
"What did you say?"
Both Hermione and Ron stared at him, only to see that his face was pale and his eyes were shining.
"I'll wear the cloak of invisibility and sneak over to try to get the Philosopher's Stone first......"
Harry said as he looked at the two of them.
"Are you crazy?" Ron's eyes widened.
"You can't do that!" Hermione said, "Didn't you hear what Professor McGonagall and Snape said?" You're going to be expelled! β
"So what!" Harry exclaimed,
"Don't you understand? If Quirrell gets his hands on the Philosopher's Stone, Voldemort will be resurrected! Haven't you heard what it was like when he wanted to dominate the world? β
"If he had succeeded, Hogwarts would not have existed, and it would not matter if he was expelled or not! He will raze the school to the ground or turn it into a school dedicated to teaching black magic! β
"I'm going to go through that trapdoor tonight, and you two can't stop me by saying anything! Voldemort killed my parents, remember? β
Harry glared at them angrily.
"You're right."
After a moment of silence, Hermione whispered.
"Fortunately, I have an invisibility cloak, and my certainty of success has greatly increased." Harry pulled an invisible cloak from his robes.
"But can it cover all three of us?" Ron asked, confused.
"Weβthree of us?"
"Don't be stupid, do you think we're going to leave you alone?"
"Of course not." Hermione said bitterly, "How did you think of leaving us alone to find the Philosopher's Stone?" β
"But...... If you find out, you'll both be expelled. β
Harry hesitated.
"Probably not." Hermione said firmly, "Professor Flitwick secretly told me that I scored one hundred and twelve on the Charms exam. With such a high score, they were reluctant to drive me away. β
Ron smiled, suddenly became vigilant, looked left and right, and said suspiciously, "What sound?" β
At night, Hogwarts Castle is quieter, and there seems to be a strange rustling sound coming from the building.
"Don't worry about that, let's go."
Harry gritted his teeth.
The three of them huddled in the cloaks of invisibility and stumbled to the staircase leading to the fourth floor. He didn't meet anyone along the way, but he was stopped by Peeves.
Peeves was bouncing upstairs when he suddenly stopped, narrowed his black eyes that were always pranksters, and said:
"I know you're there, though I can't see it. Are you a ghoul, a ghost, or a student imp? β
"Peeves," he whispered in a hoarse voice, "Barrow the Bloody doesn't want to be seen, so he has a point. β
Peeves was taken aback, and did not dare to ask any more questions, as if his butt was on fire, he covered his eyes and ran away, still muttering in fear:
"I didn't see anything......"
"Norin told me that when it comes to Peeves, Baro the Bloody will work very well."
Ron smirked as the three of them came out of the hallway on the fourth floor.
A crack had been opened in that door.
"Well, see," Harry whispered, "Quirrell has passed through Lowe without a hitch. β
Seeing the ajar door, they seemed to be clearly aware of what was about to happen. Harry turned his head to look at Ron and Hermione under the invisibility cloak.
"If you want to back down now, I don't blame you. You can put the invisibility strap, I don't need it anymore. β
"What a stupid thing to say." Ron sneered, and Hermione had lifted the cloak of invisibility and pushed the door open.
The three of them quickly walked through the door and disappeared into the darkness.
On the other side, Norlin had just rushed out of Professor McGonagall's office when his scalp tingled with the sight in front of him.
A green snake had just turned down the hallway, and the snake body crawled in front of him. Its body was as thick as the trunk of an oak tree, and it shone with the brilliant light characteristic of a venomous snake. It rubbed its body on the ground as if it had drunk fake wine, and it was responsible for the strange sound.
"Damn Voldemort."
Norin said in a grim voice. Even he was a little panicked. He didn't expect at all that the basilisk, which was supposed to appear in the next school year, was released this semester and roamed the castle with impunity.
He had to admit that Voldemort's hand did catch him off guard.
Fortunately, it is night, and the little wizards who follow the school rules still account for the vast majority, otherwise I am afraid that the first victim will appear.
He knew the danger of the basilisk, not to mention its massive body, and its yellow pupils with an instantaneous effect were simply disgusting.
"Merlin is on top, what is this?"
Norlin was still thinking urgently about what to do when he heard Professor McGonagall's frightened cries behind him.
Norin was about to speak, when the basilisk who had already crawled around the corner heard her voice, and the snake in front of her twisted and reborn its head into the hallway where Norlin and Professor McGonagall were.
"Fluorescent flicker!"
A dangerous sensation spread through Nolin's body like electricity, and without thinking about it, he aimed his wand at Professor McGonagall, and the glow spell was unleashed by him to the fullest.
Professor McGonagall was caught off guard and subconsciously held her hands in front of her.
"Professor! That's a basilisk, don't look into its eyes! Die if you see it! β
Norlin gasped and shouted, seeing that Professor McGonagall quickly calmed down and nodded, before extinguishing the glowing spell.
After the initial panic, Professor McGonagall didn't ask why the basilisk was here, but quickly asked with her eyes closed:
"How do you deal with this?"
"Its weakness is its eyes, try to hit this part as much as possible. Plus, this kind of thing is afraid of rooster crows. β
Norlin said quickly, leaning sideways, and out of the corner of his eye, he could see the basilisk scurrying towards them.
