Chapter 146: Voldemort and the Mysterious Remnant
Silent forests in Albania.
The night was low, the moon was high, and the forest was silent, except for the faint sound of a few magical creatures.
A large, dark and stout snake crawled quickly to the ground, and came to an inconspicuous cave under a large tree deep in the forest, and burrowed into it.
The serpent followed the cave deeper and deeper into the ground, and eventually, came to a place that resembled a palace.
The space inside is very large, and on each side of the hall there is a row of supporting columns, carved with rough carvings. At the innermost part of the hall stood a throne with a high back, hewn out of a rock of unknown material. Although there are some flaws, there is a kind of primitive rugged beauty.
The floor of the hall is paved with large flat stone slabs, which are faintly carved with patterns, but the details have been blurred by the erosion of time.
Only on the floor in front of the throne, there are circles of arcane lines, forming the shape of a magic circle.
The serpent did not stop, moving its body until it reached the throne.
After arriving at the destination, the snake's body trembled, and it lay on the ground limply, losing its vitality. A wisp of black smoke floated out of the snake's body, and the black smoke gradually became a phantom of a human appearance, with a hideous and extremely terrifying face, and said to himself in annoyance:
"It can only last for such a short time...... Looks like we still need to find a human wizard. β
This familiar voice is none other than Voldemort, who escaped from Hogwarts.
As his voice echoed through the halls, there seemed to be an unusual fluctuation in the air. The next moment, another voice appeared in the hall, and said with a slight smile:
"Figured it out?"
Voldemort's black smoke phantom changed for a moment, and he said gloomily:
"Help me regain my strength, I can think about it."
"You're still bargaining with me?"
The circle suddenly flickered with a faint black light, and an illusory figure appeared in the circle. His face was shrouded in darkness, and he couldn't see his face clearly, and his voice was playful, and he said softly.
Voldemort was expressionless and did not answer.
"Tom, Tom, we've been friends for decades."
The man waited for Voldemort for a moment, then sighed and said, "I helped you improve your magic skills, I told so many ancient secrets, and I even taught you half of the Chapter of Chaos...... I just wanted to see this era with my own eyes. β
Voldemort sneered in his heart, and said that the first thing you did when you came out was to kill me.
This guy didn't know how long he had been here, as conceited as Voldemort, and he wasn't sure he would be able to get away with him.
Voldemort guessed that this man should have only a wisp of soul left, lingering in the world. But even if it is a remnant soul, the strength that is inadvertently revealed still shocks Voldemort's heart.
If it weren't for the fact that there was no other way, Voldemort wouldn't have come back here.
"Okay, okay, who's going to make me like you." The man chuckled, "Before you, that kid named Grindelwald, I liked it too, but it's a pity...... Don't go his way. β
Voldemort was indifferent, and the hall suddenly lit up, and a large and unfamiliar magic power poured towards Voldemort's black smoke phantom from all directions. Voldemort's eyes were filled with joy and he silently accepted the baptism of magic.
The figure in the circle watched quietly, a strange smile on the corner of his mouth, and murmured:
Meltien ...... You're dead, I'm alive. I won. β
β¦β¦
Although this reason was far-fetched, the deans swore that there would be no danger, and the young wizards did not take it to heart.
After a semester of study, we just want to go for a walk outdoors on a sunny June day, with a few pints of chilled watermelon juice and a leisurely fall in love on the grass. Or a few friends playing a few games of Gobushi and laughing at the punishment of the loser.
Otherwise, sit next to the Black Lake and watch the Grindillo in the lake spray water at them. If you're lucky, you might even see mermaids in the Black Lake.
The little wizards were very curious about the mermaids in the lake, but unfortunately few of them had seen it with their own eyes.
In those ancient legends, mermaids were generally gorgeous, comparable to goddesses, and were the pinnacle of the appearance of various races like elves.
The results of the final exam, which the professors corrected overnight, were quickly distributed to the little wizards.
Nolin was unsurprisingly the first in the second grade, with perfect marks except for the astronomy class that really gave him a headache. This time, the second person was changed, no longer Zhang Qiu, who had been following Norin, but Elena of Slytherin.
In the first year, Hermione also lived up to the expectations and won the first place, as for the second, she was not interested in knowing who it was.
A week later, in the Quidditch final, Gryffindor defeated Slytherin again. Harry was a brave performer, standing up from a big deficit to shake off the Slytherin Seeker's broomstick and grab the Golden Snitch to the cheers of the crowd.
Until the end of the school, the young wizards were still in a state of agitation, and the Gryffindors had been claiming that Harry was their hero.
The end-of-year banquet at Hogwarts was as sumptuous as ever. When Norlin entered the auditorium, it was already full.
The auditorium was decorated in bronze and blue, representing Ravenclaw, to celebrate their re-election to the House Cup. On the wall behind the guest of honor sat a huge banner painted with a heroic eagle.
Norin looked at the banner on the wall and suddenly remembered that she had graduated from Miss Pechacy. If she's still in school, she'll be happy to win the House Cup again for days.
Norlin smiled, and Dumbledore rushed to the Great Hall, and the noise died down.
"Another year has passed!" Dumbledore said gleefully, "Before I can indulge in these delicacies, I must trouble everyone to listen to an old man's clichΓ©." What a wonderful year it has been! Your little heads must be a little richer than they used to be...... There's a whole summer vacation waiting for you ahead of you, so you can digest those things before the next semester starts and free your mind......
Before I get to the Academy Cup ceremony, I have to tell you one thing. Next semester, there will be one person who will have to say goodbye to us for a while......"
Dumbledore paused after speaking, and the young wizards listened with a panic, and immediately thought of the Defence Against the Dark Arts professor. But isn't Quirrell gone? Or is it ......
At the thought of being a Defence Against the Dark Arts professor in the second half of the semester, the young wizards turned their horrified eyes on Dumbledore.
Dumbledore smiled and explained, "Mr. Norlin Davies, he will be leaving Hogwarts for the time being and going to Durmstrang for his third term. Correspondingly, there will be a young wizard from Durmstrang who will be with us for a year. β
After Dumbledore finished speaking, many young wizards had different faces.
