It's getting hotter, summer is coming, and Atlantic City is seeing a lot more tourists.

These tourists who come from the inland and south to escape the summer are all fragrant in Li Yaoyang's eyes.

Recently, all the major hotels in Atlantic City have been full, and even many people's homes have started hotel business, which is the rhythm of making money for the whole people.

Kiel Eland is still busy with the election, spending most of the year in Trenton, the capital of New Jersey.

Compared to Atlantic City, Trenton is now a metropolis, located in the Midwestern New Jersey, bordering Pennsylvania across the Delaware River.

As the place where Washington led the Continental Army to its first victory in the Ugly War of Independence, many people don't know that Trenton also has a storied history.

After the outbreak of the Revolutionary War, the British army brought in a large number of troops from the British mainland, including mercenaries from Germany, mostly from the German Black Forest region.

Hence the name "Hessian mercenaries".

These German mercenaries fought bravely and defeated the Continental Army in New York and New Jersey, and the Continental Army was forced to withdraw from New Jersey to Pennsylvania.

At that time, the morale of the Continental Army was low, and in order to turn the situation around, Washington, the commander-in-chief of the Continental Army, led his army to cross the Delaware River on Christmas night in 1776, despite the severe cold weather.

There's a famous oil painting that depicts the story of Washington's crossing of the Delaware River.

It was freezing cold, the river was frozen, and it was Christmas, so the German mercenaries stationed in Trenton had no idea that the Continental Army would suddenly appear near their station and be taken by surprise.

After a brief exchange of fire, almost all of the German mercenaries stationed there were captured, while the ugly army suffered very little losses.

This battle greatly boosted the morale of the Continental Army and laid the foundation for the eventual victory of the War of Independence.

German-American painter Emmanuel Loitz became famous for his painting of Washington crossing the Delaware River on the subject of the war.

After the founding of the Ugly Country, Trenton briefly became the capital of the Ugly Country, and the Ugly Nation people who have always disliked the study of history probably won't know that Trenton had such a legend.

Washington even considered Trenton as the permanent capital of the Ugly Country, but the Southern states objected to it because they felt it was too close to the North.

If Trenton had been chosen as the permanent capital at that time, I am afraid that it would not be Washington DC but "Trenton DC" now.

However, Trenton has not been able to develop because of this history, but because of its existence as the most important manufacturing center in the country.

Now there is a very well-known slogan - "Made in Trenton, the whole world wants".

But in the end, there are not too important products to be produced, such as rubber, wires, ceramics and cigars, which can be replaced.

That's why Trenton bore the brunt of the Great Depression when it came.

Of course, that was later, and now Trenton is very developed, and the people you see on the street are full of smiles on their faces, which is the best embodiment of the happiness index.

Li Yaoyang sat on top of the Rolls-Royce, quietly observing the street scene outside the window, and couldn't help but think about the future of Atlantic City.

Industry is the key!

In the streets and alleys, the flow of people is like weaving, and the sun is in the sky, but it does not feel dry, but it is a good weather for basking in the sun.

It's just that Li Yaoyang didn't have the time and mood, and he suddenly came to Trenton not for tourism, but to make trouble for Kiel Elander.

Newark's side was ready, the ship would arrive in port in a few days, and he couldn't afford Kil'Eland to cause trouble for himself at this critical time.

As the saying goes, the best defense is offense, passive waiting is not Li Yaoyang's style, he doesn't want to cause trouble, so he can only make trouble for others, so that you have no time to take care of it, he is the safest.

The New Jersey Capitol is 100 years old and looks a bit like the Capitol building, except that one is larger and the other is small.

Unlike other state capitols located in parks, this historic building is located on the street side and blends in with its surroundings, surrounded by the Legislative Building.

Asked the driver to stop on the side of the street, Li Yaoyang got out of the car, simply sorted out his clothes, and looked up at this historic building.

A beautiful woman got out of the car from the other side, bypassed the rear of the car, grabbed Li Yaoyang's arm, and said softly:

"Boss, what are you doing here?"

It's Heidi, in addition to a long experience with me this time, I also took a vacation by the way, and I always feel bored after a long time in Atlantic City.

The black silk gauze hanging from the top hat covered half of her face, and most of her beautiful face disappeared, but her cold temperament couldn't hide it anyway.

"Do something, don't talk for a while."

"Got it."

Da Da Da, the high heels step on the stone, making a seductive sound.

Stopped a clerk and asked for the next location, and the two looked for it.

"Princeton Congressman's Office", this is it.

Li Yaoyang raised his head and glanced at the nameplate and knocked lightly on the door.

"Please come in!" There was a voice from inside.

Pushing the door in, there was a small table in front of it, and a middle-aged lady sat behind it and looked curiously:

"What's wrong with the two of you?"

"Good morning, I'd like to talk to Congressman Princeton about something."

"Do you have an appointment?"

"Nope."

"Saorui, if you don't have an appointment..."

Li Yaoyang seemed to have known that she would say this, and took out a check worth $2,000 from his pocket.

"Can I make an appointment now?" His friendly smile made the female secretary panic, not because of how handsome he looked, but purely because he was frightened by the way he made an appointment.

"Ah~ Of course, you're already on the reservation list, I didn't see it before, sorry."

"It's okay, then..."

"Wait a minute, I'll go in and report, this..."

"lee, please call me lee~"

"Okay Mr. Lee, please wait a moment." The female secretary stood up, took the check away, and stuffed it into her underwear generously, not forgetting to throw a wink at Li Yaoyang.

"Bichi!" Heidi cursed, her voice so low that only she and Li Yaoyang could hear it.

Li Yaoyang was unmoved, quietly waiting for her to go in and ask questions.

After a while, the female secretary probed out:

"Mr. Lee, please come in."

"Thank you!"

Patted Heidi's little hand:

"You're waiting for me here."

She pouted:

"Don't you need me to accompany you?"

"No, I'll be out soon."

After speaking, he stepped into the suite, which was not as spacious as he imagined, with dark red decoration and steady furniture, which was very much in line with the style of a councilor.

It was a white-haired old man, at least 65 years old, but his eyes were still bright.

"Young man, I don't remember seeing you in my lifetime." As soon as the other party opened his mouth, he was questioning.

The female secretary was afraid of being implicated, so she winked at Li Yaoyang and disappeared with a smoke.
