Unfortunately, the entire temple was later demolished. There is a mountain in the southeast direction of the temple, and the three hills are side by side where the city god used to plant the battle flag, so it is named the battle flag mountain; The southwest side of the capital city god temple is the lotus mountain, the north top of the lotus mountain is like a round drum, it is said that this is the war drum of the city god lord, called the war drum mountain; The south direction of the temple is Wolonggu, there is a majestic big stone man in the middle of the Gu, standing there like a warrior, the legend is the general of the town hall of the lord of the city god; There is a big mountain in the west of the temple, no one has ever dared to live here, it is said that this is the prison of the city god.

There are many legends in the capital city god temple, one of which says that the status of the city god is very high, and the civil and military officials pass by here, and the civil officials have to get off the sedan chair, and the military attache dismounts to come to worship. One year, a county magistrate passed by here, saw a temple from the sedan curtain, and asked the sedan chair man what kind of temple it was, and the sedan chair man told him that he was the City God Temple. As soon as the county order heard it, he said: "Hey, they are all brothers and brothers, no need to bow!" "Let the palanquin man move on. As soon as he walked to Xihegou, the sedan chair suddenly overturned and threw the county order on the ground, and the county official asked the sedan chair man, what level is this city god master? The palanquin man told the county order that this is the capital of Shandong, Chenghuang, who is in charge of Shandong and is in charge of Henan. When the county magistrate heard this, he left the sedan chair behind, trotted away with his robe, ran back, and fell down in front of the statue of the old man of the city god, kowtowed eighteen times in a row, and apologized. Then sit on the sedan chair and walk smoothly.

Why is the status of this Shandong capital city god so prominent, because he was personally sealed by Liu Xiu, Emperor Guangwu of the Han Dynasty.

The original name of Dongzhi Village is not called Dongzhi, but Dingziqian. Later, why was it called East Finger? Speaking of the origin of the name of this village, there is an earth-shattering legend.

The matter dates back to the end of the Western Han Dynasty. At that time, Wang Mang usurped the Han Dynasty, established a new dynasty, destroyed the new policy, caused social turmoil, Liu Xiu, the descendant of the Han King Liu Bang, wanted to restore the Han family, so he raised troops to attack Wang Mang, but the army was defeated, so he had to go to Nanyang, Henan to move troops. The news of Liu Xiu's move to Nanyang immediately reached Wang Mang's ears, and Wang Mang personally led a large army to chase and kill Liu Xiu. Liu Xiuxiao stayed overnight, panicked, and hurriedly fled for her life.

On this day, Liu Xiu was chased to the top of the mountain. A big road to the south and a small road to the east, Liu Xiu didn't know which way to go. When I was in a panic, I saw a village woman sitting there on the side of the road to rest, so I stepped forward to ask for help and directions, and said: "Sister-in-law, I am a descendant of Liu Bang, the king of the Han Dynasty, in order to restore the Han family, I specially went to Nanyang to move troops to eliminate Wang Mang's Xiongqi, and now I am being chased by Wang Mang's soldiers here, I don't know where to go, please ask my sister-in-law to point out the way to help me in my great cause." But the village woman was mute, she could hear it, but she couldn't speak, and she babbled for a long time, and she didn't spit out a word, so she simply stood up and stretched out her hand to the east. Liu Xiu understood, so he bowed and fled, and fled in the direction of the east. So that's where the name of the east finger comes from. (2) The legend of ploughing and covering the ditch

It is said that Liu Xiu left Dongzhi and rushed all the way to the east. But Wang Mang's soldiers followed closely and pursued him relentlessly. Liu Xiu panicked, thinking to himself, if he chased after him like this, he would have to fall into the hands of Wang Mang, a traitor. There happened to be a farmer surnamed Zhang plowing the land on the side of the road, Liu Xiu dismounted and hugged his fists and saluted: "I am Liu Xiu, a descendant of the Han Dynasty, who moved the rescue troops to fight against Wang Mang in the lower Nanyang, and was chased and killed by him so far, I hope to ask the old man to save my life, and I will thank you for the gift in the future!" The farmer took a closer look at Liu Xiu, and saw that the person who came had good facial features, a dignified appearance, and was a person who did great things, so he thought about it and said, "Hey, there is a flat mountain here, where to hide?" If I plow deeply, and you lie in it, I plow again and hide you in the furrow, and I may save you. Liu Xiu hurriedly said: "Okay, okay, that's it!" The farmer whipped the ox a few times, pressed the plough down hard, and the plough made a deep ravine, and Liu Xiu lay down in it. The farmer turned back to plough and hid Liu Xiu in the furrow. At this time, the hound of the chasing soldiers came over first, sniffed and sniffed in the ditch where Liu Xiu was buried, turned around, and barked. The farmer was in a hurry, afraid that the dog would pull Liu Xiu out, so he whipped the hound's head away. Looking back, the hunting dog that killed the officers and soldiers was a big sin, and he scratched his head in a hurry. Suddenly, when he saw the confused jar, he was in a hurry, kicked the confused jar over, and the confusion dipped to the ground. Immediately, the pursuers arrived, and when they saw that the hound's brains were dripping all over the ground, they were about to ask the farmer. The farmer pretended to be dumb, babbling in his mouth, pointing at the muddled jar, and then at the hound. These pursuers only then understood, thinking that the hound was hungry and wanted to drink the farmer's confusion, so he was beaten to death, not to mention that the farmer was a mute, how to cure his crime? It was still important to chase Liu Xiu, so he gave up, and hurriedly returned to the horse and chased south towards the main road. After the pursuers left, the farmer pulled Liu Xiu out of the furrow. This place is named Plough Ditch, and until today, it is still called Plough Ditch Village!

Climbing out of the furrow, Liu Xiu turned around and looked in the furrow, searched for a long time, found a mole cricket, tore it in half, and said angrily: "I take you little thing, you will fall into the well, I am holding back in the furrow uncomfortable, but you come to scratch my nostrils." The farmer hurriedly said, "You are wrong to blame him, he saved you, he punched a hole to ventilate you, how can you take revenge?" Liu Xiu regretted it very much, and hurriedly pinched a yellow grass stick, put the head and tail of the mole cricket up, and said, "Hey, you don't deserve to die!" Come back to life! The emperor really said that as soon as he finished speaking, the mole cricket magically came to life again. To this day, when the mole cricket is torn open, there is still a rod in the middle of its body.

Wang Mang's pursuers had gone far. Liu Xiu bowed and said to the farmer: "Thank you for saving your life, if Liu is a big thing in the future, I will come to thank you with a generous gift!" With that, he said goodbye to the farmer and continued eastward.

It is said that after Liu Xiu went to Nanyang, he mobilized 500,000 soldiers and went to crusade against Wang Mang again. At that time, Wang Mang's new policy was opposed by the kings, and the political situation was turbulent and the world was in chaos. Liu Xiu took this opportunity to raise troops to the north, destroyed Wang Mang in one fell swoop, and sat on the emperor, called Emperor Guangwu of the Han Dynasty, the country was called the Eastern Han Dynasty, and the capital was Luoyang.

After Liu Xiu ascended the throne and became the emperor, he suddenly remembered Daigu and the benefactor who saved him at the beginning. Thinking of this, Liu Xiu was very excited, so he arranged the major events of the DPRK and China, took his entourage of soldiers and horses, and went straight to Shandong. One day, Liu Xiu's brigade came to Dingzi (later called Dongzhi) and stationed down. He took his entourage to find the land where the farmer had hidden him, and told them how he had been rescued, and the civil and military officials all sighed. Then, Liu Xiu sent two young guards to find the farmer.

Let's say that this farmer's name is Zhang Sheng, he is kind and real, and he never asks for anything in return for doing good deeds. He saw two officers and soldiers walking towards his house, and thought, "Didn't I save that person in the first place, and Wang Mang's soldiers knew about it and came to arrest me?" Anyway, it's not a good thing, so it's better to hide first, so I jumped out of the back wall, ran to Chaigu Mountain in a hurry, and found a hole in a big pine tree to hide.

The two guards walked all the way and inquired all the way and finally found Zhang Sheng's home. However, the farmer's house was empty, so he had to come back to restore his life. Liu Xiu ordered his entourage and inquired about Zhang Sheng's whereabouts. A child herding sheep said, "That Zhang Sheng didn't know what was going on, so he panicked and went to the firewood." "The Chaigu Mountain is steep and steep, overgrown with miscellaneous trees and weeds, and it is really a needle in a haystack to find someone on the mountain. Unable to find Zhang Sheng, Liu Xiu had no idea for a while. An attendant suggested: "If we set fire to the mountain on three sides, then Zhang Sheng naturally refuses to be burned alive, and will definitely run out of nowhere by himself, so why not go up the mountain to find someone." Liu Xiu thought for a while and said, "It's okay!" So he sent for people to light fires on three sides. The fire burned for a day and a night, burning the trees, firewood and grass on the mountain, and there was no shadow of Zhang Sheng. Liu Xiu had no choice but to send someone to search the mountain. As a result, Zhang Sheng's body was found on the cliff of Chaigu. Zhang Sheng was scorched, but he was holding a cypress tree with one hand and a willow tree with the other. Hearing the murderous news, Liu Xiu was very sad, so he sent someone to buy a coffin, decorated Zhang Sheng's body, and buried it in a large depression in front of Chai Gu. In order to repay Zhang Sheng's life-saving grace, Liu Xiuyi named Zhang Sheng as the capital city god, in charge of Shandong, in charge of Henan, and ordered craftsmen to build a capital city god temple in front of the top, which was sacrificed by local officials and people year after year. This is the origin of the East Finger City God Temple.

Chai Gu is Zhang Sheng's life destination, Liu Xiu wanted to canonize this mountain, but he sealed the Phoenix Ridge to the west of Chai Gu. This Phoenix Ridge was renamed Fengshan and has been called until today. Chai Gu was not sealed, he was very angry, and he was crooked sooner or later, so he got a name called Crooked Neck.
