Chapter 41: The Dragon's Whisker Rebellion
Today, her man wants to return to the city with Xingting, so she got up early, boiled water, and left a letter to her father-in-law.
Ampipao talked to Holly about how he caught the hook and how he caught a bandit, and hearing the news made Holly very happy, and he felt happy from the bottom of his heart.
She blurted out: Today is really a good day, good things are coming one after another.
One by one, and what else? Ampipor asked, puzzled.
Holly's face turned red, and she said with an idea: Aren't you two hooks and bandits?
Ampipor scratched his head and replied with a smirk: Yes, yes, yes!
What else is good, how can I tell you?
Holly blushed slightly and snickered inwardly.
You've worked hard all night, so now that breakfast is ready, you can have some breakfast together here, and discuss with my father-in-law what to do next.
After tossing and turning for a night, Ampibao was indeed hungry, so he was no longer polite, and after entering the house, he greeted him one by one, and Holly took him a seat, and sat down to have breakfast with everyone.
While eating, I recounted what happened last night.
The result of the discussion was that Wang Xinglan and Wang Xingting returned to the county seat today, and asked An Pibao to take a few self-defense team members and escort the arrested traitors and bandit spies to the county brigade with the two brothers of the Wang family.
After all, it was an extraordinary time, and I was worried that I would encounter bandits and robbers on the road, so I decided to be escorted in this way.
After the people who went to the county seat left, Mu Dongqing came here with a few more guests, who were sent by the party organization above, and the people who came conveyed the spirit of the latest instructions from the superiors: Chiang Kai-shek's reactionaries have officially torn off their disguises and killed our party revolutionaries throughout the country. In order to meet the needs of the national struggle, it was decided to organize an armed insurrection of the peasants with Longsugu as the center.
In the early stage of the uprising, the common people and the wealthy people with progressive ideas were mobilized in the three counties, and once the time was ripe, the riot forces developed in the three counties acted at the same time, and the success of the riot could effectively deal with the riots in various places.
The superiors assigned Holly new tasks, including raising funds for the revolution, uniting wealthy and enlightened people, and collecting weapons and ammunition. as the material basis for the insurrection. In addition, the training of the Self-Defense Forces should be strengthened. When the time comes, you can instigate the rioting team.
After the superiors came and left, Holly carried out the implementation of the tasks one by one, and her heart was full of expectations and yearning for the future revolution.
The following is a true historical account of the Longsugu Rebellion:
Longxugu is located in Mengyin County Daigu Town station northwest 7.2 kilometers, 709.1 meters above sea level, southwest, northeast longitudinal column, close to each other there are three peaks, one peak in the middle is like a dragon's head, the other two peaks one to the south, one to the north to extend, no matter from the east, or from the west to see, are very similar to the dragon spitting whiskers, Wei Xiao wonderful, the momentum is magnificent. On July 16, 1933, the Xinmeng County Committee of the Communist Party of China led the Longxugu Rebellion.
In December 1931, the Xinmeng County Committee of the Communist Party of China was established, the party organization was developed, and the peasant association was established. In the spring of 1932, the county party committee was destroyed. In October, with the help of the provincial party committee, the Xintai County Party Committee was established, with Wang Xianting as secretary. By the spring of l933, there were more than 70 GD members in the development of the Longsugu area. At this time, the Shandong Provincial Party Committee demanded that local party committees hold armed riots. The Xintai County Party Committee researched and determined that Longxugu was the site of the riot.
Longxugu is far away from the three county towns of Xintai, Mengyin, and Yishui, and the foundation of the Kuomintang's rule is relatively weak. The county party committee held an enlarged meeting in March to study plans for the riot, which was scheduled for July 20. Immediately after the meeting, preparations for the riot were plunged. Within a short period of time, more than 700 people signed up for the riot. In May, Shan Hong and Wang De made a special trip to Longxugu to inspect the terrain.
Since the whereabouts of the riot were discovered, it was decided to riot ahead of time after deliberation.
On the morning of 16 July, the riot team, led by Li Yanggu, Cui Xianwu, and Lou Jiasi, set out from Jingwangzhuang and went straight to Longxugu, erected a red flag at the top of the mountain, and posted slogans such as "Down with the warlords of the Snow Country," "Down with the local tyrants and divide the land," "Down with the Kuomintang reactionary government," and "Establish a regime in which the people are the masters of the country."
The grain of the landlords in the nearby villages was confiscated and distributed to the poor peasants. Lu Yuefeng, head of the Kuomintang's Mengyin District No. 7, Wang Zilian, mayor of Poli Town, and Fang Xudong, mayor of Zhangzhuang Town, sent people to report to Zhang Zunmeng, magistrate of Mengyin County, saying: "Longxugu has been occupied by the Communist Party, and propaganda has become red, so we must quickly send people to encircle and suppress it." Huang Yongzhou, deputy captain of the Zhang Ling County Brigade, led a platoon of teams to cooperate with the militia and rushed to Longxugu to suppress them.
Huang Yongzhou, an underground member of the CCP, informed the rioters of the news of the crackdown, and thought that the riots were very immature. When his proposal to the magistrate to incorporate the team was rejected, he advised the rebels to evacuate.
The rioters decided that Li Yanggu, Cui Xianwu, Miao Peizhi and others would disperse to the countryside; Lou Jiasi and Cui Pingzhang led more than 30 elite armed forces to transfer to Lushan, and the rest of the personnel were scattered and hidden. Zhang Zunmeng led his troops to chase the rebel team to Lushan, and the two sides fought until the 28th. The riot team ran out of ammunition and food, broke through and evacuated. At this point, the insurrection failed.
The local Kuomintang authorities stepped up the clearance of townships and arrests. Li Yanggu, Cui Xianwu, Miao Peizhi and others were forced to run away from their hometowns, and Lou Jiasi and Cui Pingzhang were arrested and heroically died in December of that year.
Although the Longxugu uprising failed quickly, it dealt a blow to the reactionary rule, shook the reactionary authorities, sowed the fire of armed struggle in the Xinmeng area, and enabled the party organizations and the masses in the Xinmeng area to receive a practical tempering of armed struggle, and prepared the conditions for the later launching of the anti-Japanese armed uprising in the Culai Mountains and the establishment of the Yimeng Mountain Base Area.
In this riot, the higher-ups considered that Jingdi Village was too close to Longsugu and that there were many local people, so they did not let the Jingdi Village Self-Defense Force participate in the specific riot, but only gave support to the riot team from various aspects such as house preparation, logistics, food and ammunition supply.
When the rioters were encircled and suppressed by the reactionary county brigade and the landlords' armed forces, it was the self-defense forces of Jingdi Village who secretly covered their move to Yiyuan Lushan.
According to the local elders, those who went up the mountain, because they were betrayed by traitors, hurriedly staged a riot, and did not yet form a certain combat effectiveness.
Later, the reactionary county brigade set up small steel cannons (mortars) and bombarded the mountain, and Longxugu was a stone mountain, caused by shells, and the rubble flew indiscriminately, and there was no bunker to dig on the mountain to hide. Except for a few party members, the rest of the people who went up the mountain were ordinary people from several nearby counties, and after the bombardment, many local people quietly stayed and ran home.
In the spring of 2020, the author climbed to the top of the hill with a telescope and a compass to find the footprints of the revolutionary aspirants of that year. The strange rocks on the top of the valley are craggy, full of wild wormwood taller than a person, swaying in the wind, telling the heroic story that has passed.
Since then, Mu Dongqing and the Jingdi Village Self-Defense Force led by her have carried out all kinds of work more vigilantly and secretively.
