Chapter Ninety-One: The Thorny Golden Rose
"As I said, the citizens of Tubaro will not fight alongside the wolves of Midland, the citizens of Tubaro have always hated Midland's bad people, and we Tyrillians have the pride of Tyrillians!"
Unexpectedly, a dispute broke out under the city walls, between the subordinates of several of the Imperial Lords on the one hand, and the leader of the Tyril Expeditionary Force ------ a beautiful girl dressed in a peculiar way on the other. Now, the female officer, dressed in revealing golden brilliant light armor and draped diagonally over a short cloak of glittering scaly sea animal skin, was raising her palms wrapped in heavy metal armor in an attacking gesture, a brilliant flash of golden magic dancing on her fingertips.
The girl looked to be about seventeen or eighteen years old, with crimson hair and large brown-black eyes, a fiery passion in her beautiful face, a mess of red bangs with a beautiful headband in the style of a golden olive leaf, and a golden rose coat of arms set with sapphires hung by a black ribbon around her slender neck. This beautiful girl was of medium height, but had a very good figure, dressed quite revealingly, and her full breasts seemed to jump out of the crescent-shaped breastplate studded with unique runes. Her armor is beautifully crafted, but it is asymmetrical, with an eerie beauty.
One of her arms was completely covered by a thick barbed golden plate armor, and the other was completely naked, wearing only an ornate bracelet inlaid with a philosopher's stone on her wrist, and her calves and knees were firmly wrapped in the same golden plate armor, but above the knee were exposed, and her white skin contrasted sharply with the gold armor. Two heavy leather belts stretched across her bare waist, and glittering metal vials and copper nails stuck in them held the short black leather skirt just right.
Behind this bold and unrestrained girl, stood a wall of neat guns and spears. The heavily armed gunners were in a row of twenty men, and a dozen columns stretched out backwards, all dressed in golden full-body heavy armor, with short red tweed cloaks on their backs, coal hopper-shaped helmets with red ostrich feathers inserted on their heads, half-pulled down their face armor, and their fourteen-foot-long spears shook silently like a forest. Musketeers in sharp-topped steel helmets with warped edges and wide-sleeved red jackets swung on the wings, their long-barreled muskets glowing with Hesseian light and broad-bladed scimitars swinging at their waists as if they were about to enter battle.
"Princess, you are too willful!how can you direct the wind of divine magic at your allies?Have you forgotten what Mistress Pierrot taught when he was leaving?"
In the midst of the tension, an elderly officer who was also dressed in gold armor and wearing a green peacock feather wide-brimmed soft hat rushed from the back of the line, pressed the arm of the golden-armored girl, and taught the unrestrained girl a lesson in a reproachful voice. Tensions were eased.
"I'm not afraid of anything! Whoever wants to fight with me, let him come!"
The red-haired girl pursed her lips angrily, but her voice became small, and the golden flash of magic unconsciously retracted, as if she was afraid of the old officer. She folded her arms and looked at the nobles and officers who were rushing out of the main entrance of the castle with a look of contempt.
"What happened? How did you get this with our distinguished guests from the South? Whose responsibility is this?"
Surrounded by a group of heavily armored Rick guards, the Imperial Court official spoke first, and as soon as he stepped down the city gate, this kind of saber-rattling situation appeared, which really made the old Imperial Court official feel dissatisfied. He stared sternly at the Imperial knights in front of the city gates, which silenced the noise.
"Your Excellency, honorable officer, we only mentioned the word Midland, and somehow this noble young lady thundered and set up her army, which made us a little confused. ”
After a moment of silence, a mid-ranking Imperial officer stepped forward, bowed to the Imperial Officer, and succinctly described what had happened. His face was full of confusion, and it was no wonder that he came out to greet the distinguished guests before he finished his meal, but he was treated like this, which was surprising enough.
"Nonsense! Who said that the Golden Lion Banner of Tubaro should be placed in the clutches of a filthy wolf? This is the greatest insult to the dignity of the citizens of Tubaro!"
The golden-armored maiden, known as the princess, clasped her hands around her waist and tilted her head in a fierce retort, and the Tubaro soldiers behind her echoed in unison, striking the ground with their spears like gusts of wind sweeping through the straight poplar forest. So the beautiful female warrior was inspired by the soldier's fighting spirit, and assumed a posture of attacking. The Rick Guards immediately made a battle posture, and a large number of Wuguo'er, who had just come out to see the excitement, also subconsciously prepared for battle.
"Alright, my princess Catherine, please don't escalate the situation any further, have you forgotten our duty on this trip, and if you continue to mess around like this, I must report this to Mistress Pierrot and the city council!"
The old man with the peacock feather hat roared angrily, and he jerked in front of the golden-armored girl and grabbed her arm again. His voice was like a lion's roar, which made the girl known as Princess Catherine soften in half, and she stuck out her tongue, and turned her beautiful body a little reluctantly, but she had not forgotten to make a gesture of contempt with one hand to the crowd at the city gate.
"Lords of the Royal Court and warriors of Kislev, I am Cicero Julius, the Edgeworth Director of the Principality of Tubaro. At the behest of the Prince and the Civic Council, I have joined Her Royal Highness Princess Catherine in leading an army of 800 Tubaro Elite Guards in response to the Great Holy War of His Majesty the Holy Emperor. I apologize to Her Royal Highness for the rude she has just made, and I ask you not to take it to heart, because Her Royal Highness Catherine is still young. ”
The old man in the golden armor took two steps forward, took off his wide-brimmed red soft hat with peacock feathers, and bowed deeply to apologize to the chief officer. The Grand Lieutenant responded with a smile, and his Rick Guards put away their guns, as if everything had been settled. But immediately, the Edgeworth's voice changed, and he straightened up and re-uttered his question.
"It may be presumptuous, but I must point out that Tubaro's guards were drawn out of loyalty to the royal court and friendship with Kislev. The guards of Tubaro are loyal to the Holy Court or the command of Kislev, but they must not accept the dispatch of the Duchy of Namidland!"
The director's voice was as loud as a lion's roar, which shook the air and tore Hyde's eardrums violently, making the young man in the crowd feel a violent shock, he quietly looked at the old man in gold armor and sword, his heart was full of mixed feelings, and he couldn't help but hold the pendant left by his mother on his chest, not knowing what to say.
"Sixteen years ago, the wolf lord of Midlandland failed the precious princess of Tubaro and insulted the dignity and friendship of the citizens of Tubaro. Both the Parliament and the Prince have sworn to sever their dealings with Midland, and this oath has not changed to this day! In any case, the dignity of the citizens of Tubaro is not to be desecrated, and I am done with my words, and I will wait for the arrangement of my lordship. ”
Cicero, the director of Edgeworth, finished his sentence, gave a solemn military salute, and then stood silently in front of the city gates like a statue. The winter wind stirred his long white beard and red cloak with a subtle hula sound. Behind him, the hundreds of Tubaro guards stood equally silently, the tip of the spear glistening in the sunlight like a forest of death.
"Honorable Southland guest, what I want to tell you is ......"
Miss Grisha, the ice mage, twisted her fat body and walked over, hoping for an explanation. It was clear that some of the ignorant fellows had said the wrong thing to greet their guests, leading to this mess of boring misunderstandings, but she certainly didn't expect the Tubaros to be so disgruntled with Midland, and Kislev in the Northland was not a well-informed place. Either way, the Midlands and the Tubaros were guests and reinforcements for Kislev, and she didn't want this boring misunderstanding to continue.
"I am Hyde of Midland, but I am also the son of Tubaro, I understand your heart, and if you have any grievances, ...... me"
Unexpectedly, Hyde interrupted Miss Grisha. The handsome young man with blond hair and silver armor pushed away the crowd, strode towards the array of Natubaro guards, bowed deeply, and then began to explain to these old people from his mother's homeland, his voice a little broken with excitement, and his arms trembling with mixed feelings. The indescribable feeling captured his heart.
