Chapter Ninety-Seven: Intelligence + N
It was rainy in England at the beginning of July, and the old drainage facilities left the ground in Spider Tail Lane on the outskirts of Cokworth full of water, with little room to put your feet on.
There was a fire burning in the fireplace, and Snape sat on a couch beside him, quietly reading a book.
"Bang, bang, bang"
There was a sudden knock on the glass, Snape waved his wand with a cold face, and a rain-drenched owl flew in. He had a letter in his mouth and a box wrapped in brown paper at his feet.
Taking the box and the letter in his hand, he pushed a box full of nuts in the direction of the owl, and Snape opened the letter directly.
The letter is not long, only more than 100 words, and it doesn't take a blink of an eye to read it. Snape seemed to be greatly stimulated, and his face became paler.
Throwing the letter into the nearby fireplace, he waved his wand open the box, and saw a bright red rose as if it had just been plucked.
As if venting, he crushed the flowers, took a bottle of red wine from the cabinet next to him and poured it into a glass, then twisted a little bit of minced pieces and put it into the red wine, and drank it all with his head up......
"Lily......"
Snape felt his soul being pumped out, and his whole body lost strength, and he let the half glass of red wine spill on the ground, and the whole person collapsed to the ground, and before he knew it, tears were coming out of his eyes.
"Potter!"
A heart-rending roar, the rage that erupted from it startled the owl who was happily eating nuts on the side. I didn't care about the delicious food in front of me, and flapped my wings and fled from the window.
Ike didn't expect that the truth was as he had suspected, and neither did Snape expect the truth to be so cruel. When he drank the glass of red wine mixed with red roses, the strange taste unraveled his dusty memories.
In June 1976, a glass of pumpkin juice with a strange smell at the dinner after the OWLs exam......
He was convinced, and always would believe, that he would never utter the word "Mudblood" under any circumstances, especially to Lily......
Everything is clear......
Snape lay on his back on the ground, staring blankly at the chandelier on the ceiling, like a walking corpse, and it wasn't until the next morning that Snape came back to his senses.
Struggling to get up from the ground, he walked slowly to the kitchen, fried himself a plate of eggs, brought it to the table and sat down, eating little by little.
More than half an hour passed, and Snape finally finished his breakfast. He pushed the plate to the middle of the table, silently went to the basement, took a bottle from the cabinet full of potions, wrote down a note and put it in a box with the potion, and summoned the owl to send it away.
Then he waved his wand, and the figure vanished.
Ike recognized the potion as soon as he received it, it was the famous Bafei Brain Rejuvenator, a potion that can enhance the user's brain power, and its difficulty in making it is almost as difficult as the elixir. There are almost no real Bafei rejuvenants on the market, and almost all of them are castrated versions, which have a short time of action, poor results, and serious side effects, and may even permanently damage a person's brain.
Snape's products are naturally different from those defective products on the market, and they have also made certain improvements, which can permanently improve a person's brain power, but at the cost of a month when the brain will be muddy.
Without the slightest hesitation, Ike directly drank a whole bottle of Bafei Brain Sober. This kind of thing that can permanently increase the attribute point is self-evidently rare.
I have to say that Ike still underestimated the side effects of Ba Fay's brain awakening agent. Ike was in a state of unconsciousness throughout July, reacting much slower and often answering questions. This strange behavior naturally caught Julian's attention, but at that time Ike could not explain it immediately.
It took a lot of effort to stabilize Julianne, and Ax simply locked himself in his room, except for eating, going to the toilet, and even getting out of bed every day, until the owl sent a list of books for the new school year to end this difficult day.
The results were extraordinary, and many of the questions that had previously been incomprehensible were now clear to them with a little thought, and in just one week, the study of alchemy and the Ravenclaw manuscript was equivalent to what had been achieved in a month before.
Very remarkable results, at least Ike is very satisfied.
After another week of quiet stay in the orphanage, Ike left Julian for London two weeks early.
The result of taking all the electives is that Ike's book list is much larger than the others, except for the necessary books such as "Standard Spells: Level 3" and "Intermediate Transfiguration", the number of divination course textbooks, ancient magic textbooks, and magical beast protection course textbooks is almost the same as the number of must-buy textbooks.
Of course, returning to the wizarding world early is not just for that, but more for being able to have a place to make potions.
After a whole summer of Red Rose, then Baffy's Sophober, and finally reading alchemy, magic scripts, and Ravenclaw manuscripts for almost half a month, plus the rule that underage wizards can't use magic outside of school, Ike didn't have time to finish what he had set before the holidays.
It's impossible to sit and eat empty.
Old Tom of the Leaky Cauldron is still the same lazy look, but as long as the price is right, any request can be met. At the cost of an extra 10 sico, Ike managed to get the right to craft potions in his room. Old Tom even provided a gadget capable of absorbing the foul smell that emanated from the potion-making process.
After half a day to buy all the books for the new school year, and half a day to buy enough potion materials, Ike once again locked himself in his room, and Tom sent someone to the door for three meals a day.
Ike didn't plan to make any difficult potions, only made swelling agents and white fresh essences. The former can be used to eliminate swelling caused by magic, while the latter is the most common healing potion. Both of these are extremely expensive to sell to them at St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Injuries and Injuries every day, and selling them is a surefire deal.
It won't make a lot of money, but stability is better than anything else for Ike.
The raw materials cost Ike 57 Galleons, sold them for 112 Galleons, and made a net profit of 55 Galleons in half a month, which is already higher than many Ministry of Magic staff.
Of course, there is no comparison with the officials, let alone the professors at Hogwarts.
But that's enough, plus Hogwarts' fixed annual bursary, minus the money to buy textbooks, and an owl who finally made up his mind to buy it, Ike still has a few dozen Galleons to spare.
The owl is very ordinary, it is the cheapest kind, stupid, and it is not called to be able to spend a day on the shelf by itself.
In fact, even Ike the owl didn't want to buy it in the first place, but the nightingale couldn't complete the great task of delivering letters and couriers. The little guy has a big temper, and he can't do it himself, and he's angry that Ike has added a new member for this.
Yes, Nightingale has been following Ike and has been named Ellie by him.
As for the owl, it's called Skye.
Proper naming and abolishing ......
