Chapter 266: Reunion
Harry didn't expect that he and Hermione would see such a scene when they met again.
She sat quietly on the swing in her courtyard in a gray sweatshirt, swaying gently, holding a grape wood wand in her hand. He held on to the big tree in her yard and gasped for air, forcing himself not to vomit.
"Are you alright?" Dumbledore patted Harry on the shoulder and asked with concern, "The first phantom migration will feel very uncomfortable, and you will have to get used to it slowly. ”
"I didn't ...... It's okay. Harry waved his hand, took a deep breath, and finally straightened up, though his ears were still ringing as if there were hundreds of mosquitoes chirping nearby.
"Alright, just take it easy......" Dumbledore looked at Harry, who was still ugly, before turning to Hermione, who had already gotten up from the swing, and greeted with a smile on his face.
"Good evening, Hermione."
"Good evening, Professor Dumbledore, Harry." Hermione waved her hand as she walked over to Harry, her wand tapping lightly against him.
A soft white light flashed, and Harry felt much better, barely feeling sick.
"Very beautiful spell." Dumbledore applauded, his scorched right hand causing Hermione's brow to furrow unconsciously. Just as he was about to ask, Harry next to him said anxiously, "Hermione, you just used magic!" ”
"It's okay, I'm an adult." Hermione replied. Harry was about to ask something, but was interrupted by Dumbledore.
He held out his left hand and said, "Well, I can prove that Miss Granger is free to use magic in any situation, in any place...... But for now, please hold my left arm, we still have something to do. ”
Hearing this, Harry had no choice but to put his doubts down for the time being, and grabbed Dumbledore's arm with Hermione. The next second, Dumbledore waved his wand, and the uncomfortable feeling just now hit Harry again.
It was suddenly black in front of him, up and down, left and right, front and back, and all directions squeezed towards him at the same time, as if there were countless iron hoops strangled fiercely, and he held his breath directly in his chest.
When his feet were firmly on the ground again, the breath was spat out. Then, the familiar gasp was repeated, only this time it was much better, and Hermione's wand landed on him in the first place.
"Alright, let's go this way." Dumbledore glanced back at Harry and turned back. After looking at his surroundings, he pointed in a direction and walked over.
Harry and Hermione followed, looking at the unfamiliar scene around him, his face dazed.
It looked like an abandoned village, and they seemed to be in the village square, empty, with only an old monument and a few benches.
After Dumbledore, he passed several shops, houses, and a tavern, but without exception, they were all empty and there was no one.
"You...... What do you think? Harry glanced at Dumbledore, who was at the front, leaned over to Hermione, and asked in a whisper, his words full of concern.
"I'm fine, Harry." Hermione replied briskly.
Harry looked at her face and didn't see anything out of the ordinary. But he still felt that something was wrong in his heart, and before he could ask, Dumbledore in front of him spoke up.
"By the way, Harry, I forgot to ask, does your scar still hurt?"
"Scars? Without. Harry shifted his attention in an instant, and replied, "I'm still wondering, it stands to reason that now that Voldemort is back, it should have been burning hot all the time, and that was the case last year." ”
He looked at Dumbledore, only to find a satisfied expression on his face.
"That's a good thing, Harry." Dumbledore said as he walked, "It means that Voldemort finally realized that you were able to hack his brain all the time, and he felt the danger. Looks like he's using Occlumency on you. ”
"That's right...... That's great. Harry said, one thing he had been hanging in the back of his mind at last, he had had enough of those tormented nightmares.
As they spoke, they walked a long way away, and Harry looked at the still empty phone booths and bus shelters, and asked, "Professor, where is this?" What are we here for? ”
"Ah, I forgot I hadn't told you yet." Dumbledore pointed in another direction, saying as he went, "This is the village of Badley Barberton, and we're going to persuade a colleague of mine to return to Hogwarts." ”
"To be honest, I can't even remember how many times I've said this in recent years."
"So, how can we help?"
"You'll help, I guess ......"
They walked a long way further before Harry asked again, "Professor, why don't we just apparition to your old colleague's house?" ”
"That's rude, Harry." Before Dumbledore could speak, Hermione said directly, "We want to offer other wizards the opportunity to refuse us, not to mention that most wizards have an anti-apparition transfer charm in their residences, just like Hogwarts...... I told you. ”
"Okay." Harry nodded subconsciously, and was about to ask something, but saw Dumbledore in front of him suddenly stop, and he didn't pay attention and crashed into it directly.
Looking up, it turned out that before they knew it, they had come to a small house with a neat garden, and the lock of the small garden door next to it had been violently broken, and the door was hanging crookedly.
Dumbledore looked to both sides, but there was still no one.
"Draw your wand and follow me." He whispered, walked briskly down the garden path, and gently pushed the door open.
"Fluorescent flicker!"
A soft white glow glowed from the wand, and a messy corridor was in front of you. Dumbledore didn't stop and walked into the living room with his wand in hand.
Entering the living room, it is an even more messy sight. An old clock was shattered on the ground, and the clock face and pendulum were scattered on the ground. Next to it, there was a broken chandelier, and the debris flew everywhere. There were also feathers scattered on the ground, which had come out of the mats, and there were many broken glasses underneath them.
But the most striking thing was the blackened bloodstains on the wall, one of which was stretched out.
"Sucks, isn't it?" Dumbledore raised his wand and said heavily.
"There's an attack here?" Harry said, "A fight, and then he was dragged away, wasn't it, Professor?" ”
Harry's question went unanswered, and he saw Dumbledore cautiously stepping over the shards on the ground, while Hermione stood motionless behind a broken couch, all focused on it.
Dumbledore had apparently noticed Hermione's anomaly as well, and his face showed a hint of surprise, then he put his index finger to his mouth and beckoned Harry to quietly surround the couch with him and Hermione.
Once they had set up their formation, Dumbledore's wand slammed into the chair cushion.
"Oops!"
There was a scream from the couch that startled Harry, and his body shuddered. Then, in his astonished eyes, the thick cushion on the couch turned into a chubby, somewhat bald old man. He rubbed his stomach and squinted one eye, with tears in his eyes.
"You don't have to stab me so hard with your wand, it hurts me, Dumbledore."
Dumbledore also narrowed his eyes, and with a prank smile on his face, he said:
"Good evening, Horace, it's been a long time."
