Let's talk about Jiuhuazong

The Jiuhua Sect in "Sailing the World" is a very important organization, interspersed throughout. The third chapter of "Falling Leaves into a Formation" has this explanation: "Jiuhua Mountain is the Bodhisattva Dojo of the King of the Earth, in the third year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1370), Qingyang Jiuhua and Gushi Jiuhua jointly established the Jiuhua Sect, which is called the East Sect and the West Sect, but because the two sects are thousands of miles apart, the two factions have rarely interacted in the past 50 years unless there is a major matter. ”

This passage is half-true and half-fictional. The fictional part is that there is no such gang as the Jiuhua sect, but it is certain that they belong to Buddhism, and these two mountains are the dojos of the Great Wish Jizo Bodhisattva. Among them, Gushi Jiuhua Mountain is the first dojo of the Central Plains for the Bodhisattva of Jizo, and later the Bodhisattva has passed away in Qingyang Jiuhua Mountain. The wedge begins with this explanation:

Gushi Jiuhua Mountain, you can see the bamboo forest everywhere, lush and green, dancing with the wind, a tree on the mountain red maple, cochinus and fir, tea tree set off with each other, embellished into nine colors spread all over the mountains. The Liumeng River runs through the canyon throughout, and it is spring at this time, and the empty valley orchid quietly opens, and the fragrance is overflowing.

At the foot of the mountain, a young monk in a silk coat walked up, followed closely by a white dog behind him. He was twenty-four or five years old, with a peculiar appearance and a parietal bone protruding...... The monk looked up and saw that the mountain peak was like a lotus flower, the peaks and peaks were stacked, beautiful and strange, so in this mountain no one, dwelling in a cave, thirsty for drinking stream water, hungry for white soil, although often stung by poisonous insects, also sat upright without thinking, put it calmly...... This person was Kim Jo Kya, a member of the royal family of Silla (a kingdom that coexisted with Goguryeo and Baekje on the Korean Peninsula from 57 to 935 BC), who became a monk at the age of 24 and sailed to the Central Plains, where he meditated the Jiuhua Mountain in Cheongyang. - These are basically true.

2. The Dharma name of the monks of the two Jiuhua Mountains, the level of the abbot is the "Guang" character, then the "Zong" character, and then the "Dao" character and the middle Taoist character, only the little monk Dao Feng was confessed.

The names of Xizong (Gushi Jiuhua) all have "氵", such as the second elder Guangze, who saved Zhu Ziping, the third elder Guangrun, the person who made the "Songtao Sword Technique", and the very lustful fat monk Zongfu, the thin monk Zongqing, and so on. Of course, the abbot's "purity" and "purity" are the same.

Dongzong (Qingyang Jiuhua) has "wood" in its name, such as the abbot of Guanglin, as well as Daofeng, as well as his master Shi Bo Zongshao, Zonggen, Zongzha, Zongzhu, Zongzhu, Zongzhu, etc.

3. Among the several people mentioned above, Dao Feng is naturally a very important supporting role (in fact, I originally wanted to write him as the protagonist, for fear that everyone would not like the main role, so I gave up), if I have time in the future, I will analyze the more important main and supporting roles, or I hope you will help me analyze.

I would like to focus on the role of the abbot of Guangjing. He appeared in the sixth chapter, it was Zhu Ziping who touched Myoko Temple at night, and heard someone talking in the tearoom, Guangjing's first sentence was: "Senior Brother Guangrun, how many times have I said you, you can't change it, it's Qingyang Jiuhua." Calling them Dongjiuhua doesn't it demote our status? Our Gushi Jiuhua is the first dojo of the Great Wish Jizo Bodhisattva, and the root of Jiuhua should be here. It's that Qingyang Sect Master Guanglin is not only ten years younger than me, but he has only been the abbot for nine years, and he is still too young! Hmph......"

This passage reveals dissatisfaction with the status quo of the Western Sect. My understanding is that as the abbot, Guangjing wants to make Gushi Jiuhua stronger and bigger, but is it really okay? In the article, through the mouth of the second elder Guang Ze, he said: "In the past 20 years, the abbot has rarely cared about me. I know that he has always wanted the Western Sect to become the leader of the Jiuhua Sect and even all the factions in the world, but how can this eagerness achieve positive results......

Later, Guangjing wanted to get the nine-colored lotus, but the sky was not as good as people wanted, and the nine-colored lotus let Dao Feng go. What's even more incomprehensible is that when the nine-colored lotus made the heroes dissatisfied with Qingyang Jiuhua, he invited everyone to West Jiuhua Mountain, and received them warmly, not hesitating to teach Songtao swordsmanship and formulas, hoping to take the opportunity to win the recognition of the heroes and improve the status and prestige of the Jiuhua West Sect.

I still have a deep sympathy for the role of Guangjing, and I can even understand his approach, including the Beijing Martial Arts Conference later, Guangjing still has a role. Although this man is hateful and ridiculous, I can't hate it, let alone laugh - because what he is doing is not for his own selfish desires, but because he wants the gang he leads to become the leader of the gang over the others...... Is there something wrong with that?

4. Finally, let's talk about the lust of the fat monk (Zongfu), I set up such a role, or it is related to my outlook on life or values: I don't think that what is good is definitely good, and what is bad is necessarily bad. Take Zong Fu as an example, he may not dare to mess around on West Kowloon Hua Mountain, he is a well-behaved monk, but as soon as he came out, he became very lustful. There are some things in human nature that cannot be hidden, let alone changed. When I write such a character, I actually want to express that good and evil are usually just a thought.
