Chapter 22: Knights, Charge!
"Dreams?"
Merlin's eyes narrowed slightly, and he tried to unleash his spiritual power, and the majestic power directly swept the entire sky.
The elements of the world must appear, and there is not the slightest concealment in his eyes.
The power has not changed, and the world is so real and clear.
Dreamland?
Merlin's heart sank to the bottom, and he found himself unable to tell whether this was real or unreal.
After thinking about it, looking at Hawkes who appeared in front of him, Merlin thought for a moment, and the staff in his hand suddenly slammed into the ground.
Without warning, the terrifying light was compressed into an incomparably pure line, tearing through the scarlet sky without hindrance and striking the laughing Hawkes.
As a great wizard, Merlin's every move can disturb the elements of heaven and earth, and he doesn't need to chant incantations and perform rituals like other white wizards.
His will is the truth.
"Ahh
The Holy Light easily hit the laughing Hawkes, and the overwhelming force purified most of the black qi around the latter.
Merlin's beard twitched, and he was extremely puzzled.
"So what is your confidence in appearing in front of me? This world has neither strengthened you nor weakened me, and you appeared before me to send me to death? ”
The voice has not fallen, and the dead word has not yet been spoken.
Merlin flickered in front of Hawkes, his staff glowing slightly, striking on top of Hawkes' head.
Rumble!
A mushroom cloud rose in an instant.
The ruined earth was shattered, and the terrifying pit burst out of the elemental turbulence capable of destroying everything.
Merlin doesn't plan to waste time with Hawkes, there must be some kind of fusion in Arkham Town now, and he must solve the other party immediately and return to reality.
Whew-
He summoned a strong wind to blow away the smoke, but Hawkes was nowhere to be seen.
"Merlin!"
Above the sky, Hawkes's embarrassed half of his body appeared in the clouds, his body was cut off by a force from his waist and abdomen, and his body was illusory and did not look like a living person.
"You're still as arrogant as ever!"
Hawkes gritted his teeth, and he looked at Merlin with bitter resentment in his eyes.
"Yes, you are the most powerful wizard in the world, you can hunt me down for a hundred years, and you won't dare to let me even if I. Yes, I confess, we can't overthrow the church as long as you have you. ”
"But so what?"
His face was frenzied, and his right hand slammed into his heart, a scarlet mist of blood spilling from his mouth and nose.
"Here are the dreams that the Lord has created for you, nightmares that are independent of reality."
Hawkes took a long breath and shouted at Merlin about his savings and resentment.
"In this dream realm, which is independent of reality and the most vulnerable barrier of the world, the power of the Lord can come!"
Boom Boom –
The voice did not fall.
The earth cracked abruptly, and endless corpses erupted from the cracks.
It is the grave where countless civilizations are buried.
The whizzing skeletons gathered and came back together, covered in long scarlet hairs that bound them firmly into a single unit.
Rumble!
An arm, made entirely of bones, jutted out of the ground and then fell to the ground with a splash of dust like a sandstorm that swallowed the sky.
When the smoke and dust had cleared completely, the clouds had been torn apart by the blood moon, and the scarlet-eyed moon stared coldly at the only creature on the ground.
Merlin stood on the ground, his neck tilted, and in front of him a strange creature that seemed to be made of dry bones, dirt, and long hair.
At the same time, Merlin felt the pressure he hadn't felt for the first time.
"Lord?"
Merlin's old body stood still, he raised the staff in his hand, and the strange and evil giant creature had already raised its arm, and the five fingers that were enough to crush the mountain peak slapped Merlin fiercely.
"Just show me the power of the taboo."
Merlin opened his mind, and on the endless ruined plains, the scarlet sky obscured the bright earth.
After countless years of immersion, a brilliant light pierced the darkness of the entire world.
"What a terrible old monster." In the distance, the seriously injured Hawkes was dumbfounded.
As someone who has been hunted down by Merlin for a hundred years, he feels that no one in the world knows Merlin better than him.
But seeing now, he suddenly realized that the strength of this old monster was far from being as simple as he imagined.
……
Inside the church.
Ludwig and another archecyclical knight looked ugly, and on the bed in front of them, Merlin was sleeping quietly.
"Ludwig, what the hell is going on?" Lawrence's voice was raising, almost questioning.
"It's Hawkes." Ludwig vigorously thought back to what had happened before.
"Hawkes sent a monster that wasn't our world at all, and after Mr. Merlin killed the monster, Hawkes emerged from the monster's blood."
Ludwig closed his eyes, and the images that had just appeared in his mind appeared one after another.
"He said that Mr. Merlin should feel the blood of the so-called Lord."
"Lord?" Lawrence was unaware of the Dark Wizard's sacrifice to a forbidden being.
"When did the Dark Wizard have a lord? Aren't they devoid of faith? ”
The door to the church was suddenly pushed open again.
"Lord Lawrence, something has happened!"
A knight, covered in blood, stumbled into the hall.
"Countless terrifying monsters have suddenly appeared in the town, and the vanguard has already suffered casualties."
"What!"
Lawrence turned his head suddenly, and he and Ludwig looked at each other.
Monster!
North of Arkham Town.
"Quick, evacuate the crowd!"
On the streets, a pair of knights in silver-white armor armed with swords and shields shouted loudly to the sheriff behind them.
"Go and inform the entire Arkham town and organize an evacuation!"
Roar –
The low roar of the beast came from the street in the distance, and the knights' faces were not good-looking, and they pulled down their masks one after another.
"Gentlemen!" The knight at the head wore a tulip badge on his chest.
"Now we can't go back."
The knights raised their swords and collided with their shields.
"Death is a clear will!"
Boom –
A carriage toppled over, sharp claws tore through the iron wagons, and bright red muscles wrapped around the veins, as if a skinned beast appeared before the knight.
One, two, three...... Five.
There are five monsters in total, and their faces are open like man-eating flowers.
"For the Light!"
The knights held their swords aloft, and although they had no sorcery attainments, their pure hearts combined with their sorcery armor allowed them to temporarily exert the power of white sorcery.
At the end of the street, the knights collided with the monsters.
Although this group of monsters was far inferior to the one that attacked Ludwig, its terrifying mouthparts and sharp claws could leave deep scratches on the knight's armor every time.
"Die!"
The monster's right arm was bitten by the monster, and the sturdy armor suddenly wailed, but instead of flinching, the knight picked up his sword and stabbed the monster in the neck.
It was a bloody battle, and the knights could not retreat, because behind them were the people of Arkham.
After some staggering, after paying the price of one knight and seriously injuring three people, they successfully dealt with a monster.
Leaving behind the corpse hanging on his body, the tulip one-armed knight led by him wore tattered armor and raised his sword.
The first one came head-on.
"Knights, charge!"
