Chapter 8: Luna Lovegood
After coming out of Ollivander's wand shop, Luke and Harry went their separate ways, after all, Harry was nearing the end of their purchase, and Hagrid's birthday present for him was the last dispensable pet.
"Where do you want to go next?"
Professor McGonagall looked down at Luke.
Luke was silent for a moment, then said, "I definitely don't have to buy something like a crucible." After all, I believe that what is left at home is definitely the best. β
Professor McGonagall did not argue that if other students had such high-quality laboratory equipment at home, they would certainly not bring their own children to school to cause trouble. After all, the value of this kind of thing itself is definitely expensive. What's more, those in Luke's house can be called cultural relics.
Professor McGonagall even thought that if Luke brought a few crucibles or dragonskin gloves from his treasury to Professor Snape, he would get him a heartfelt smile. Although he knew that Luke didn't plan to use the vault, the lab supplies in his own cabin were enough for him.
"Professor, can I keep snakes in the academy?"
Luke asked suddenly, coldly.
Professor McGonagall was stunned by his question, but there was really no joke in Luke's eyes, and she replied solemnly, "Theoretically no, but if you're going to have a non-venomous snake, I can make a special case for you." β
This little thing is nothing to Professor McGonagall, after all, the magical beasts in the Forbidden Forest are much more dangerous than ordinary snakes. But after all, poisonous snakes still pose a certain threat to young wizards, so poisonous snakes are absolutely not allowed.
Professor McGonagall looked at Luke with a slightly regretful look.
Sure enough, Luke also showed a look of regret, he didn't have a few non-venomous snakes on hand. As for using these ordinary snakes as spies, there is no point in using your own snakes. Outside of Hogwarts Castle, there are even a lot of snakes inside the castle, not to mention such a very convenient spell as Oolong Out of the Cave.
In fact, Luke didn't even think about keeping a snake as a pet in Hogwarts.
Professor McGonagall could certainly guess why Luke would want to have a snake. After all, everyone has heard of the talent of the Gaunt family. The Parseltongue has been stigmatized by the Dark Wizards, especially Voldemort.
But for the truly sane wizards, the Parseltongue is at best a useful gift.
Of course, sane people will always be in the minority in any group.
Luke thought for a moment, then said to Professor McGonagall, "Then let's have a cat." β
Professor McGonagall couldn't help but smile brightly when she heard Luke's choice. It's as if Luke made the right choice.
"That's right, Luke! Trust me, cats are definitely the best pet you can choose. They are docile, smart, cute, and smart! β
Professor McGonagall smiled in Luke's ear as she led the way.
With a smile on his lips, Luke guessed that Professor McGonagall would react like this. Smart people should make the right choice at the right time, in the right place.
Soon they were at the door of a relatively remote shop. Luke looked up and saw the sign with the cat's paw prints on it.
γKate's Catγ
Luke resisted the urge to complain. Then he followed Professor McGonagall to the store. The store is not big, but clean and welcoming. Luke couldn't help but nod.
The environment of this store is really the only pet store he has seen that can compare to Ollivander's wand shop all the way around.
But then, Luke didn't look at the cats playing on the ground or resting in open cages. Rather, it was the long, dark golden-brown hair and large silver eyes.
It was a little girl sitting on the floor, leaning against the wall, holding a magazine, and looking like she was reading to a cat. She seemed to be there, but there was like an ethereal apparition, or an ethereal elf.
Luke didn't know if it was his own delusion, but he always felt that when the bright yellow light sprinkled on her long hair, it shone like a golden waterfall.
The kittens who were supposed to be lively and active all lay quietly beside her, forming an arc, as if they really understood the little girl's words.
Luke froze for a moment, but quickly came to his senses. Then I took a deep breath. From the name of that magazine, he knew the name of this somewhat fairy little girl.
The name of that magazine was "Singing Against the Tune." A magazine that is 'quite unrecognized' in the wizarding world. As far as Luke knew, there was only one girl of this age who could take such a magazine so seriously.
Luna Lovegood.
A character who used only one movie in his previous life to make Luke fiercely liking.
Luke thought that he would only be able to meet this amazing girl at the opening ceremony next year, but he didn't expect that she would appear in front of his eyes so suddenly today.
Luke quickly calmed down. He is also in this world now, so he should know everyone with his own eyes as much as possible, not the memories of his past life.
Whether it is his memory or the movie of that year, it is always just a story with the author's subjective understanding. It can be learned, but it cannot be regarded as a golden rule.
However, Luke still frowned subconsciously, he always felt that Luna had an inexplicable attraction to him. This left Luke a little confused.
It's normal to have a natural crush on Luna, but where does this attraction come from?
Professor McGonagall looked at Luke with interest, first distracted, then sober, and then relaxed as if she had realized something. Then a frown furrowed.
This amused Professor McGonagall, and it was not known if Luke knew that his thoughts were already on his face at this point.
Professor McGonagall looked at the little girl she had only heard of, but was not familiar with. Suddenly there was a lot of interest in her.
I don't know what kind of magic this little girl has in her body that can make Luke behave like this.
A brown-haired middle-aged woman holding a fat orange cat walked out of the back door of the store. As soon as she came out, she saw Professor McGonagall smiling, and the little boy who was frowning and looking a little mature and handsome.
But she apparently didn't see any strange atmosphere, so she shouted in a very happy tone as soon as she saw her old friend:
"Oh! Minerva! When did you come! Why don't you call me! β
