Chapter 59: Peeves (Part II)
Peeves can really toss to a certain extent.
Since Peeves' birth, except for the days when the Big Four were directly in charge of the school, almost no one has been able to control Peeves, and even in 1876, the administrator at the time, Rankros Calpe, designed an elaborate trap in order to drive Peeves out of the castle. The trap consists of a variety of decoy weapons, and a large bell jar with various containment spells cast. And when Peeves is in place, the bell will fall down and buckle him.
But everything didn't go as planned. Peeves easily blew open the bell jar and left with a few scimitars, a few crossbows, a large-caliber breech gun, and a small cannon. Peeves began to shoot at random for fun, and the lives of the students were threatened. As a result, the castle had to be evacuated for three days.
Three days later, Professor Eprathea Moore, then the rector, agreed to sign a deal with Peeves to hand over his weapons in exchange for more privileges, including a swim once a week in the boys' bathroom on the first floor, a preference for moldy bread in the kitchen to throw around, and a new hat that Ms. Bonabiller had made for him.
This was one of the most disastrous attempts to get rid of Peeves. The incident also forced Mr. Calpe to take early retirement "for health reasons".
This is just one of the more exaggerated resumes of Peeves.
For centuries, Peeves rarely provoked working professors, and was even more reluctant to deal with the president. Of course, the premise is that these people don't really have a bad relationship with Peeves.
But Peeves can really take the castle keeper and the students for his own amusement.
And when they face Peeves, they basically don't do him any real damage.
But now, Luke wants to find Peeves, and the arrogant Peeves hides and does not dare to see him.
It really didn't make Luke know what to say. I just don't know if Peeves can sense his location in advance and then dodge, or if he simply finds a place to hide.
So Luke took a deep breath and calmed down, he asked many people along the way, and none of them saw Peeves. This means that there is a high probability that it will be the latter.
But the other party is a ghost, and the map of the living spot cannot be displayed. And when it comes to familiarity with castles. Even Dumbledore didn't dare to say that he knew Hogwarts better than Peeves.
His search is tantamount to looking for a needle in a haystack.
"Can you only go to the cafeteria and squat?"
Luke muttered to himself.
"Meow!"
Suddenly, a cat meow sounded in my ears.
Luke heard this Booker's voice, and sure enough, when he looked down, he found Booker crouching at his feet at some point.
"What's wrong?"
Luke asked, popping him off the ground and touching his head.
"Meow!"
Booker stretched out his paw and pointed to the left.
"Do you follow your instructions?"
"Meow~"
Booker's face showed a human confidence. Luke frowned, but quickly relaxed.
"Okay, let's go!"
As he spoke, he walked in the direction Booker pointed.
At Booker's instructions, Luke jumps up and down the castle, climbing through windows and walls. Luke looked at the narrow platform less than twenty centimeters under his feet, and then at the shadow of Booker leading the way leisurely in front of him, and suddenly felt that his brain was still a little too naΓ―ve.
"Why do I think a cat walks the way that a normal person can walk......
After a long, strange walk, Luke finally returned indoors.
He looked at Booker and prayed in his heart that Booker wouldn't drill a hole or something. At the very least, there must be a door next to the hole.
But fortunately, his prediction did not come true, and Booker did not take him to the hole. Instead, he stopped in front of a wall.
It was like a remote and dark corridor, close to the end of the castle, and there was no sign of anyone when I looked around.
Luke didn't rush either. Anyway, he was ready to return in vain, so even if it was a dead end here, he could accept it.
But apparently, Booker wasn't going to bring him here for no reason.
Booker bowed to the ground, then leaped into the air, his claws slapping on a stone brick roughly on Luke's chest.
Then, there was a crisp sound of masonry clashing.
Luke looked at the wall in front of him, which slowly opened, revealing a staircase descending.
This is a route that is not shown on the live map.
That's normal. After all, James Potter and the others, the producer, have only been at Hogwarts for seven years. Although they explored a large part of Hogwarts, it was obviously impossible to learn all the secrets of the castle.
Luke didn't hesitate much, he knew that Booker in front of him was still Booker, and he wasn't controlled by any spell. Then it is impossible for a normal Booker to harm him, he is naturally quite calm.
Descending the steps, it didn't take long for a small door to appear in front of Luke's eyes.
Outside the door, Luke heard Peeves' wailing.
"Ahhhh Why does that little imp in the Gaunts look so weird! And now you're looking for me! I'm not going to bother you anymore, you're still looking for trouble with me! β
"It really is! Worthy of the descendants of Salazar's old monkey! It's the same talent as Godric's dead octopus! β
"The combination of two troublesome spirits, how can the ghost accept it!"
Luke never expected that before he even entered the door, Peeves would give Luke such a big surprise.
Booker was behind Luke, with no further plans to go further.
The ghost knows if there will be a conflict for a while, he is just a harmless kitten. How unjust it is to be affected by the pond fish for a while.
Thinking so, Booker simply sat down on the spot and began to lick his paws. His eyes were fixed on Luke, who was walking towards the door.
Luke walked lightly, trying not to alarm Peeves. He can run through walls.
And just as Luke was about to break in. Suddenly a man with long black hair burst out of the door in front of him; There are a pair of small but godly heads with a bit of evil black eyes.
His orange-red bow tie was half exposed. The hat full of bells was almost on Luke's chest.
One person and one ghost looked at each other for a moment.
Peeves turned around and was about to run. But I quickly felt a strong sense of crisis.
"Turn around and look at me."
Behind him was the grim voice of the Gaunt imp.
He stiffened his face and turned around to see the imp with a wand he knew so well.
Luke felt the Slytherin wand in his hand excited right now. It felt like Booker had seen Spotted.
"You know, this thing can teach you a lot of lessons." Luke looked at the funny ghost with a serious face, "Now, I have something to ask you. β
