Chapter 1 Carlisle Indian Industrial School
It's spring again.
Northland, Mount Braque.
The turtledove, with pesos and huge hardness, climbed a huge granite rock.
The giant turned his back and threw a bright line of water under the rocks, and when the wind blew, it rolled back, and he screamed in shock.
It startled the cries of finch, starlings and porcupines in the mountains and forests.
"Turtledove, is it just for us that we have come so far?"
Peso asked, pointing to a church-like building at the foot of the hill.
The turtledove put down the telescope in his hand and nodded.
"Yes!"
"I don't know how this kid sturgeon did it, but he's also a well-trained veteran, so why was he sold here?" Peso looked puzzled and shook his head helplessly.
The sturgeon is exactly ten years old this year, and it is not impossible to insist that he has been 'seriously trained' by the turtledove tribe, but it is too far-fetched to say that he is a 'veteran'.
Since their disappearance near Hamilton Manor last year, there has been no news of sturgeon and smoked fish.
It wasn't until last year, just before the Chinese New Year, that the turtledove learned from an inadvertent piece of information that the smoked fish was dead, and that the sturgeon was caught by a circus on the way to escape, and after a few days of nail-swallowing tricks, it was sold to a slave trader.
The last place he was seen was the place in front of him.
It's hard to believe, but he's here.
An Indian boarding school β Carlisle Indian Industrial School!
β¦β¦
There is a huge square in front of the school's gate, and the square is covered with green grass, and it can be seen that the workers who take care of it are very careful.
In front of the square stands a three-meter-high statue of the Virgin, which bows its head and looks benevolently and lovingly at the cherub in its arms.
The door was closed.
But from behind the gate, there was a neat and crisp, yellow warbler-like song:
"Jesus loves me, Jesus loves me......"
"For the Bible Told Me ......"
"Jesus loves me, I know ......"
"Grandiose, every day is ......"
"He put me on his lap and said to all the children......"
"Come, child, come into my arms......"
The song of a nightingale resounded through the valley.
When the singing was over, the door opened.
A nun dressed in black walked out of the doorway, followed by a neat row of small children.
When they had come to the square and stood up, the nun said to them:
"Alice wants to break away from the arms of the Lord, but sooner or later, the lost lamb will be eaten by the wolves of the mountains and forests! Come and pray together! β
Led by the nun, they began to pray for Alice.
It didn't take long for four children to come out of the gate, and together they carried a black coffin.
Everyone followed the coffin together, past the flat lawn, and finally to the edge of a wooded hill behind the school.
There are many small mounds high and low on the ground, some of which have a simple 'ten' on them, but many more have nothing.
"That's it, put Alice down!" The nun said.
So the four little children carrying the coffin pointed it at a small pit in the groundβ
"Wow!"
The coffin is leaking!
A mangled corpse fell from the bottom of the coffin.
Divided into several parts, head, body, hands and feet!
Several of the children who were praying were frightened, and one of them cried out loud with a 'wow'!
"Andrey!" The nun glanced disapprovingly at the crying child.
As the nun's words fell, the crying child covered his mouth tightly.
Although there were still tears in his eyes and his shoulders twitching, no sound came out of his mouth.
"You made this coffin, didn't you?" The nun asked.
Andrei nodded as he covered his mouth.
"Then it is up to you to clean up Alice and repent for her, so that she can return to the arms of the Lord and let her soul rest in peace......"
Andrei looked at the ground in horror, the grass, the pale limbs, and the blood stains of the already brown nodules.
"Mother Maria......",
In the queue of children, a taller child stepped forward.
"Dear Mother Maria, let me do it with Andre!"
Seeing the boy, who was clearly a head taller than the other children, a strange smile appeared on the nun's face.
"Fisher......," said the nun, laughing, "no, my child, you have more important things to do!" β
β¦β¦
When it was almost dark, under the watchful eyes of Sister Mary, the young man named Fisher was soaked in boiling hot water, washed up and down, and Mary changed him into a new and clean white robe with her own hands.
Then spray with rose-scented perfume.
"Mother Maria, I, I don't understand ......," Fisher's eyes revealed a confused light.
"Don't worry, Fisher!" Maria said to him gently, "Baron Hancock is a pretty ...... Funny people! β
In the Carlyle Industrial School, there are many confused lambs like Fisher.
They are fine except for their yellow skin and black hair.
Not only people like Baron Hancock, but even Sister Mary, she herself liked it.
"Let's go, don't keep the baron waiting too long!"
So Sister Mary walked ahead, and Fisher followed her quietly, along the corridor.
They passed the humming spinning room, where the students learned to 'weave';
Passing by another classroom, the teachers are telling a group of new children: "From now on, you must forget your Oglaraha or Hukpaja or something, if I hear you speak that filthy language again, the devil will pull out your tongue in your sleep......"
At the end of the hallway is a confinement chamber that cannot be seen from the outside. But could Fisher have imagined that poor Andrew, after burying his sister with his own hands, must have been stuffed into confinement again, and that he must have been cowering in a corner, sobbing silently?
Then they pushed open a secret door in the wall, and after a winding passage, they came to the garden behind the school.
On the swing rack in the garden, Harry in a skirt is swinging. When he saw Fisher, he was visibly surprised.
The sun of the white flowers shone down from the sky and shone on the red picnic cloth on the green lawn. A fluffy body rests on a chair next to it.
Maria motioned for Fisher to stand still.
She walked over lightly, bowed her head and said something to the body, pointing at Fisher in the middle.
It wasn't long before Maria walked back and pushed Fisher from behind.
"Go, Fisher! Do what he tells you to do, and don't disobey him! β
"Lord, Amen!"
