Chapter XXXIII: The Admiralty of America

The "navy" of the United Arab Emirates has won a great victory as a matter of course - relying on the home advantage of the home port, if the rocking ship cannot be managed, the pirates of the Caribbean Sea may never receive such a business again!

America does not have a navy, but that does not mean that there are no maintainers of order along America's coastline.

That's right, the once heyday of the Pirates of the Caribbean, after the Americ Republic was willing to provide its own coastline for it to resupply and dock, finally achieved "Zhongxing" with great fanfare!

Compared with the regular fleets of the great powers of the United States, France, and Great Britain, their strength is certainly far inferior.

But the vast sea is an excellent refuge for them, and they can play a game of hide and seek with these regular fleets.

With the "independence" of Mexico and the development of the United States and the Emirate of America, the demand for slaves and industrial goods in North America rose sharply, and the export of raw materials such as silver and cotton and textiles also rose sharply.

On such a busy route, "robbery" has once again become a lucrative business.

Being a pirate is certainly hard.

But being a successful pirate is a little harder!

……

In the original history, pirates who were once thriving had fallen in the early 19th century.

The root cause of his decline is the same as the root cause of his rise - the rise of the British Empire!

In the beginning, the sea belonged to the Netherlands and Spain, and the British could only look at it, but there was nothing they could do. In this case, the witty Queen Elizabeth I of England issued a "privateer permit" to the pirates, pointing to the vast sea and saying to them, "Where have I put all my treasures, go find them!" Find it and it's yours!"

And so, the great voyage began!

On the one hand, the thriving maritime trade made "pirates" earn a lot of money, and on the other hand, with the endorsement of the British royal family, "pirates" once became a profession that could be honored, and if they did a good job, they could be knighted!

In the process, many outstanding talents emerged in the British Empire, such as Lord Francis Drake, His Excellency Governor Henry Morgan, Baron Barthony Romuel Roberts, the early "Blackbeard" Captain Edward Tichy, etc., who made indelible contributions to the prosperity of the British Empire!

However, with the rise of the British Empire, the former heroes have become rats again, encroaching on the interests of the British Empire.

The Industrial Revolution made the cake bigger, but no matter how big the cake is, it is not enough for people to eat. The British Empire itself could not have enough to eat, so how could it be possible to give another share to the pirates?

If the pirates come out with their "privateer permits" at this time, it will be completely ignorant!

Danshu iron coupons have never worked, both ancient and modern, Chinese and foreign.

With the defeat of the Spanish Armada and the British Empire was invincible, it turned around and gathered the pirates.

It's not "the bird hides the bow, the rabbit dies and the dog cooks", but the bow is directly used as firewood and the dog is boiled in the pot - here, Captain "Blackbeard" Edward Titch should have an "F" to say to Queen Anne.

The British promulgated the "Navigation Law" in the mid-17th century to encourage piracy business, and with the gradual rise of the United Kingdom, this law was gradually updated, and more than a dozen versions were released before and after, each version of which slashed the pirates' heads.

By the end of the 18th century, the law was very different from what it had been.

All the territories and colonies of the British Empire no longer supply the pirates, and all the subjects of the British Empire are no longer allowed to trade with the pirates.

Without a place to resupply and write off accounts, the pirates were left to sit and eat.

In 1849, out of confidence in its own strength and position, the British Empire renewed itself and basically abolished the Navigation Act.

In this way, in the Victorian era, when the British Empire was about to reach its peak, the pirates also had to take their last breath.

Here it is

The power of interest!

……

There is another reason for the decline of piracy, and that is the impact of the Industrial Revolution.

That's right, the Industrial Revolution was like a torrent that destroyed everywhere it went.

The courage and gang-jumping skills that the pirates once prided themselves on were completely useless under the onslaught of steam engines and howitzers.

With the continuous innovation of science and technology, the logistical pressure of war is increasing, and it is no longer possible to solve the problem with a few ships and hundreds of sailors who are not killed.

Even the famous Blackbeard can't afford to fight the battle for wealth.

In the end, he had to give up his maritime superiority and attack the port of Charleston, thus sounding the death knell for himself.

Fortunately, this is still the middle of the 19th century, and the pirate ships also have "hybrid" options such as the combination of coal, new energy and manpower.

Fast forward 200 years, and there are still some people in the waters of Somalia and other seas in Africa who are engaged in the ancient profession of piracy, but no matter how hard they try, they probably can't even earn money for the fuel of a warship.

That's the power of technology!

……

Unfortunately, the United Arab Emirates was founded in 1849!

In order to promote justice and to save the inhabitants of the sea, who had been oppressed and enslaved by the great powers since the 16th century, it also opened up immigration to poor sailors in the Caribbean and Atlantic seas.

For just £10, you can get the right to dock, disembark and trade along the coast, and the safety of life and property is protected by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.

Of course, its violations will also be prosecuted, but it is known that the sea power of America is only 0 kilometers, so the Admiralty of America can only express regret for everything that happened at sea.

Facts aside, the navy of America never carried out acts of robbery and plunder at sea. I don't know who did it.

Including the fleet that defeated the "Heaven and Earth Maru" in the port of Kanayama, they only accepted the employment of the Kanayama Fishery Company, and the employment fee was still from the Northwest Company of the British Empire!

With the establishment of the American state, the Gulf of Mexico and the west coast of the Pacific Ocean became a complete mess, and no one could tell who was the enemy and who was the ally.

The American fleet had to go around South America to enter the Pacific Ocean, and the soldiers had to drift at sea for more than a year to make a round trip. As a lonely force, they have enough wisdom to solve the difficulties they face.

The so-called "blockade", in the eyes of the Admiralty of America, is the dividend of the Golden Mountain Fishery Company - a bit high, but with the British Empire's Northwest Company, France's Gulf of Mexico Company, and Russia's Alaska Company to help negotiate, it is quite passable.

……

The Admiralty is the department that is most worry-free for turtledoves!

But when the time came to the end of the summer of 1850, the turtledove had to raise its head full of bags and look overseas.

The faithful ally, the great Tsar Nicholas I, handed over a friendly note to King Ikaruga demanding that the United Emirates of America buy Alaska for 100 million rubles, otherwise Russia could not guarantee that it would not sell Alaska to the United States!

Ikaruga looked at his Admiralty Minister and wanted to ask aloud, "Where is our fleet?" but after thinking about it, he asked, "Summer is coming, and I think you can make more money selling bikinis on the beach, what do you think?"

The Admiralty of America, whose main business was to run the business along the coast, had not been on board since he took office.
