Chapter 152: Taisi Village
Since the destination is not clear, we can only go to the mountains to take a look, the Kunlun Mountains are so large, where my father is trapped, I don't know, I can only look aimlessly.
When we came to a small mountain village in Yecheng County, located below the Kunlun Mountains, a few of us thought that we would first learn some news about the Kunlun Mountains from the local villagers, and see if it was possible to find a guide, preferably to take us to find a way into the mountain pass.
In Yecheng County, at the foot of the Kunlun Mountains, there is a river flowing down from the Ten Thousand Mountains, and the people here have given this river a very loud name "Uruk" River, which means "great" in Uyghur.
The river has been washed over thousands of years, forming a trench dozens of kilometers long and more than ten meters deep above the ground between the sandy rocks and the desert.
In the gentle part of the ditch, there is a small village called Taisi, which is less than two kilometers long and only one or two hundred meters wide, and there are nearly 100 families living in Lala.
No one knows when it was inhabited, and the first villagers who lived here were herding herds.
In order to survive, people have reclaimed small plots of arable land on the flood-battered riverbed, and filled their houses with poplar, willow and mulberry trees in front of and behind their houses.
Perhaps it is these trees that have kept the village safe from numerous floods and survived to this day, with a Buddhist site on the cliff of the ravine 16 kilometers from the village.
The people here call it "Buterhanna", which means "Buddhist temple" in Uyghur, and in addition to the dilapidated caves, the ruins can clearly see the traces of murals on the steep rock faces.
According to the county records, during the Northern Wei Dynasty, the monk Fa Xian and his classmate Hui Jingzi went to Sri Lanka to study the Buddhist scriptures, and saw here "more than a thousand lives, many Mahayana studies", Tang Zhenguan 10 years (644 years) when Xuanzang returned to Chang'an, he saw "dozens of Jialan, destroyed a lot, and more than 100 monks learned the Dacheng sect."
From this point of view, the Bhuthelhanna Caves were built by Mahayana Buddhists who focused on personal practice to escape the mundane world.
A war in history in 999 AD brought today's Yecheng to the Qarakhanid Dynasty at that time, and naturally the Buddha caves, Buddha statues and murals here were also gone.
The Taisi villagers who have lived here for generations should also belong to the legacy, multiplication and later migration of that era.
A few of us hired a car in Yecheng, ready to go to this village called Taisi, the road conditions are very bad, the vehicle is bumpy, and we are shaken very uncomfortable along the way, finally arrived at the place, got off the car and walked a while between the sand dunes, and finally saw Taisi Village.
The small village is spread along the river from south to north for two or three kilometers of riverbed, and in the autumn of October, the trees on both sides of the ravine are rich in color, which is also a unique scenery.
As we walked along the river, we saw the village of Taisi, where smoke was rising from the woods from time to time, and we could see the whole village at a glance from the ditch.
In the distance is the snow-capped Kunlun Mountain, the Uruk River runs through the village clearly, when I was in the car, I had nothing to do, and I also deliberately checked the news about this village, it is said that this river is rich in Kunlun jade, colorful stones are all over the river beach, and people often come here to treasure for treasures.
Every house in Taisi Village is naturally built under the ditch and cliff of the riverbed, and all the courtyard walls of the houses are built with the mud and sand on the riverbed, and the whole village is like a labyrinth of mud and sand, which is distributed along the riverbed.
In the past, the village relied on grazing for its livelihood, but due to the limited pasture, people have reclaimed some arable land on the river beach, but it can only solve the problem of food and clothing, and it is difficult to have greater development.
We crossed the creek and stopped in front of a dilapidated gate, where a flagpole was erected in the small courtyard, and a bright five-star red flag hung on the flagpole stood out in the dilapidated courtyard.
It looked like a school, with only two classrooms of thirty or forty square meters, dilapidated desks and chairs crowded into small classrooms, a few educational posters hung on the blackened walls, and the roof was blackened by smoke.
A few of us approached what appeared to be a school, and there was an old man, who looked to be in his sixties or seventies, who was packing up his things in his yard.
We stood at the door of the school, and instead of going in immediately, we shouted: "Uncle, we are passing by, we want to take a break and inquire about something"
At this time, the old man, who was originally bending down to pack his things, heard us shouting, he got up and turned around, and the faces of the characteristic ethnic minorities were engraved on his face.
The old man put down his work, walked over to us, and said, "Ah, what are you doing?"
While talking, he also covered his ears with his hands, and I knew as soon as I saw his movements, the old man probably had some backs in his ears, and he was afraid that he would not be able to hear what we were saying, so he hurriedly put his hands on his ears.
The old man looked us up and down for a long time, and when he saw a few of us, there were two women, who didn't look like bad people, and some of them were carrying bags, but they looked like tourists, so he opened the school gate and let us into the yard.
"My name is Tohuti Ahaiti, I'm a guest from outside, I'm a school worker, the children are going home for the holidays, I'm alone here, come in and drink some water": Tohuti said to us.
The old man's name is very tongue-twisting, probably because it is a minority reason, we also call him Uncle Tohuti, and he entered the dormitory of the school worker, the room inside is very small, the place is not big, a few of us entered, and suddenly felt a little crowded.
At this time, only me and Lei Zi were left, Qin Yujie was talking to the old man in the house, and the lone wolf and spirit bone walked out of the house and went outside, because it was really crowded here.
The old man poured us water, and we drank some symbolically, and then I opened my mouth and said to Tohuti: "Uncle Tohuti, we have just come here, we are the Beijing National Geological Exploration Team, we want to enter Kunlun Mountain, I don't know where to enter, is there a line, or find someone from our village, help take the road, send us to the pass of Kunlun Mountain, we pay some fees for leading the way"
When Tuohuti heard that we were going to Kunlun Mountain, he hurriedly said: "Oh, you are going to Kunlun Sacred Mountain, the situation above is very dangerous, we have lived here all our lives, and few dare to enter the mountain, it is too dangerous, I advise you not to enter the mountain."
"And in this village, there are only so many dozens of families, those who dare to enter the mountains, and those who can show you the way, it is estimated that there are not many people, and a few of them are old people, and those who take you to climb mountains and wade may not be able to hold on."
"There is a man who should be able to show you the way, this man is not yet forty years old, but I don't know if he is willing or not, because I heard that this child once led the way for others, and then he encountered some things, and his spirit was not very stable, by the way, this man's name is Bahar, and he lives in the north of the village."
