059 Jimmy the Butcher (2)
Jimmy was surprised by the ADA's question, he thought that today, as before, just state it and go through the process.
"Of course not, the police academy teaches us that if we shoot, we have to make sure that the suspect loses the ability to resist. Because the suspect is still able to return fire because the shot to the suspect's limbs causes the suspect to be able to return fire, there are cases of police officers being injured or even killed every year, so I aim for the torso of the suspect. As for hitting the heart, it was a complete accident. β
"Well, that's the principle of our police shooting, so I don't think there's a problem. Do you have any other questions? If not, we'll move on to the next case. β
Director James spoke just in time, interrupting Kaya's question. Kaya glanced at Director James and gave up on asking.
"OK, let's move on to the next shooting. Agent Eagle Marshall? β
"Jimmy, talk about Johnny Santiago, starting with your return to the intersection patrol." The FBI agents were apparently much better.
βYesοΌsirγ After killing the two suspects, I went back to the police car, waited for the LRPD police to come and pick up the shells, and then went back to the intersection.
After hearing the intercom informing me that the suspect, Johnny, had been found, I drove to West Glen Street. At that time, there were several police cars parked in front of the suspect's house, and I was familiar with the surrounding environment, and I had been in charge of patrolling the western suburbs. I found a house behind Johnny from West Hampton Street, and after talking to the owner, I walked through her house to the backyard.
After communicating with the federal agents in front of me to determine Johnny's location, Superintendent Cag came to the backyard, and I approached the back door of the house under the cover of Superintendent Cager. Communicate with the police in front of me and ask them to make some noise to cover me, then break the glass on the door, open the back door and go in, and when I got to the living room, I heard a voice in the bedroom, and then I asked Johnny to put down his weapon and come out and surrender.
Johnny shot directly behind the door, and after I dodged in the living room, I shot back, two shots in total.
Hearing Johnny falling, I went over to open the door to make sure I was in, and then told the person at the front door to come in.
I then gave the gun and equipment to Superintendent Kag, who took me back to the police station, and the police car was taken back to the police station by an officer arranged by the LRPD. β
"How did you confirm Johnny's location at the door?"
"According to the bullet holes in the door and wall, determine the position of Johnny in a straight line when he fires, and judge the position of a straight line based on the sound of gunshots, and the place where the two straight lines cross is Johnny."
"How is that possible? How do you judge so accurately? β
"Well, isn't that common sense? The bullet doesn't turn, the hole in the door and the hole in the wall are connected in a straight line, and there is a deviation between the angle of his shot and my actual position, as long as I calculate it in my brain a little to know the approximate position, and then I shoot. β
"When the inquiry is over, show me the proof. I don't have a problem anymore. β
"Odd Palmer, it's your turn." Chief James said to the Superintendent of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
"You've said a lot just now, but I only have one question, why don't you use the main pistol issued by the police department, but your own revolver? For the record, you've had three shootings this year that killed suspects, all with the same revolver, and your main pistol barely fired a few times. Superintendent Palmer picked up a file and gestured.
"Wait." The FBI's Agent Eagle Marshall interrupted Superintendent Palmer. "You say he has three more killings of suspects this year? Let's start with a brief description of the previous case. β
"Well, it has nothing to do with this case, though. I'll talk about it. Superintendent Palmer picked up the file and flipped to the previous shooting.
"The first case was that the Sheriff of Adi Town found a drug dealer, after a shootout, the drug dealer fled to an abandoned lumber factory, the sheriff asked for support, Officer Yang went to the scene to support, and there was a shootout with the suspect in the factory, and the suspect was shot 6 times dead.
The second case was that LRPD officers were investigating a burglary, and there was a shootout, and Officer Yang happened to be near the scene, and he was notified by the dispatch center to go to support, and Officer Yang burst into the house and shot the suspect, who later confirmed that the suspect had killed the homeowner earlier.
The third case was a robbery of a pharmacy by a drug suspect, Superintendent Kag and Officer Yang entered through the front and back doors respectively, Superintendent Carg exchanged gunfire with the suspect at the front door, Officer Yang entered through the back door, and after warning the suspect, the suspect shot at Officer Yang, and Officer Yang fought back and shot the suspect. β
Superintendent Palmer concludes briefings on three cases and pulls out a photograph of Jimmy's M686-1 revolver.
"This is the one used in all three cases. The gun was purchased by Officer Yang at the gun shop and carried as a spare pistol after reporting to the police station. Officer Yang's main gun was a 92F pistol issued by the police department. β
"Killing six people in five months is a butcher. It is a judicial disgrace to have such people in our police. Kaya Johnston, who was next to her, said something suddenly, but the others ignored her.
Agent Eagle Marshall looked at the picture for a moment, then looked up at Jimmy, and a few seconds later returned it to Superintendent Palmer.
"I don't have a problem anymore, please continue."
"Okay, Officer Yang, please answer my question, why did you use the same revolver in all cases?"
Jimmy had been prepared for this problem for a long time, if it weren't for the fact that the revolver had less ammunition, and he would have needed 92F in case of fire suppression, he would have changed his main gun a long time ago.
"The best pistol I use is the revolver, which has the highest hit rate, so I guess I have a talent for the revolver.
If fire suppression is needed on the spot, then I will choose the 92F, although the hit rate is not as good as the revolver, but the 92F has more ammunition, and for special cases, it is indeed more useful than the revolver.
If the live situation calls for accurate shooting, then without a doubt, the revolver is my best bet. β
"I have recorded your answers and will submit them to the DA as a testimony. I don't have a problem anymore. β
"And what about the others? Anything else to ask? Director James looked around at the people around him.
"One last request." Agent Eagle Marshall spoke again. "Chief James, please arrange a nearest shooting range, I need to verify Officer Yang's marksmanship and ability to locate the suspect without a line of sight. Please arrange to bring Officer Young's M686 with the bullets. β
"No problem. If you have nothing else to ask, this concludes today's inquiry. Jimmy, you will be placed on administrative leave and will need to wait for us to inform you of the return time. β
βYesοΌsirοΌβ
"Now let's go to the shooting range."
