213 Goodbye John
Jones takes his gear and goes out to follow Gary, while Peter and Diana return to their respective places to attend to things, and Jimmy sits in his place waiting for John Butler. John had already called Jimmy in the morning, and he was around 10 o'clock in Federation Square.
Fortunately, John, as a member of the Secret Service, had no problem coming upstairs, and there was no need for Jimmy to go down and pick him up.
John entered the office and saw Jimmy at the front, "Hi, Jimmy."
Jimmy looked up and saw John, who was not wearing a uniform today, but in a suit and holding a silver-white box in his hand.
Jimmy stood up and shook John's hand, "Hey, John, long time no see. Let's go to the conference room and talk."
John followed Jimmy upstairs to the conference room.
Jimmy took a bottle of mineral water from the pantry and gave it to John, "John, what's the matter with me this time?" Your Secret Service is very busy."
John: "Yes, yes, but it's a good thing for you."
John placed the box on the table, opened it, took out a picture frame from it, and handed it to Jimmy.
John: "Thank you for your help on the last mission, I'm sorry, you should have been invited to Washington, D.C., to collect it, but for some reason, this award came a little late."
Jimmy looked at the certificate of commendation on it and wrote only to Jimmy Young, thank you for your outstanding service to the U.S. Secret Service. Signed below is Secret Service Director Brian Stafford.
Jimmy: "Thanks, please make the trip."
Jimmy put the certificate on the table and said to John, "I think you've come here to give me more than just a certificate, John."
John: "Well, the main thing is that it's not convenient to say on the phone, you didn't tell anyone else about the vice president's accident in Little Rock last time, did you?"
Jimmy thought for a moment, "Probably not, except for James, you know, I can't hide such a big thing from the director."
John: "James' word, no problem. If you haven't said anything to anyone else, don't say it again, there's a non-disclosure agreement that you need to sign."
Jimmy signs a non-disclosure agreement, which John takes back, puts it in the box, and then covers the box and places it next to his chair.
Jimmy: "Sounds like a serious thing? Now that it's been almost a year, can you tell us more about the situation? That was the first time I encountered an explosion."
John: "Well, since you're already an FBI, that's fine. You should have studied explosion site identification at the FBI Academy, right? The attack on the vice president was very strange, their deployment at the front, and the final ambush were good, but the two bombs were seriously out of balance, and at that distance, our people were not seriously injured, and the two bombs were only a little powerful, and they already realized that something was wrong."
Jimmy: "Well, I didn't feel it at the time, but after learning about the explosion, I didn't believe that the two explosions at a distance of 20 meters could have left the people around me, especially their targets, intact."
John: "We started our investigation based on this suspicion, and the investigation of the scene and the investigation on the side of Little Rock ended very early, and then there was some verification of the intelligence system, and then there was the September tragedy.
….
A cross-investigation of the September tragedy by multiple agencies has revealed a few problems, and multiple clues have been linked to several other explosions, the explosion of the World Trade Center in '93 and '96, the hijacking of the plane in '98, and the attack on the vice president last year."
Jimmy: "So much? Did they all do it from the Middle East?"
John: "By the clues, yes. But we followed the trail and found out that something seemed to be wrong with our intelligence system. It's almost done now, so your commendation is only being sent out after a delay of half a year."
Jimmy: "Oh, it seems like there's a lot of stuff behind this eucalyptus, but thank you for telling me that."

John: "If you hadn't killed the suspect at the time, I don't know how serious the consequences were, but it was still very thrilling at the time. Okay, my mission is done, I need to get back as soon as possible, that's all."
Jimmy and John stand up and shake hands, then escort John into the elevator.
By the time Jimmy returned, Peter and Diana were already in the conference room, with Jimmy's certificate of commendation in his hand.
Peter: "The Secret Service is gone?"
Jimmy: "Well, he sent this to me, and signed a non-disclosure agreement by the way."
Peter: "Well, it seems to be a very important matter, well, you have met the people you are waiting for, contact Jones and monitor with him."
Jimmy: "Yes, Sir" Jimmy took the frame of the certificate of commendation, put it on his desk, and went out.
Jimmy hadn't been assigned a car yet, so he took a taxi to Jones' location and got into the surveillance car.
Jimmy: "Jones, how's it going?"
Jones: "The goal is set. Gerard Dorset, who is following him now, has just entered the front gallery."
Jimmy: "Okay." Jimmy also picked up the headset and began staring at the surveillance monitor.
The next day, the eucalyptus analysis meeting.
Peter: "Jones, tell me about the progress."
Jones: "Gerard Dorset, French-American, is a loan shark, he uses the company's money to lend, and if you don't pay it back on time, he'll burn down your office.
Gary met with Gerard yesterday and spent the rest of the time at the securities firm and didn't see anyone else. It is speculated that Gary owed Gerald money and later used the painting to pay off the debt.
The man Gerald Dorset carried, Joshua, a veteran, fits Juliana's description, and it should be the painting he stole from him, and was later found because Juliana came back early, with bruises on his face, which should have been hit by Juliana.
Gerard had been shuttling through the high-end galleries yesterday, and I talked to one of the galleries, and Gerald wanted to sell them a painting, which happened to be from Haustenberg, but he didn't say the name of the painting."
Peter: "Have you found Gerald's stronghold?" Have you found any traces of the paintings?"
Jones: "No."
Peter: "It seems that he is going to have to take out the painting himself. Okay, let's do this for today, let's figure out how to lure him out."
Peter flipped through his phone and walked back to his office.
In terms of connections, Peter is a real cow, and in just a few moments, Peter found someone who was willing to help, she was a buyer at a gallery and had access to Gerard Dorset.
At Peter's behalf, they finally got in touch with Gerald and asked him to bring the painting to the gallery on the grounds that a wealthy man was willing to buy it.
