Chapter 3: Awakening (New Book Day 1)

It was only at a certain moment that Sean suddenly felt the existence of the world again.

The sun hung in the sky with endless light, the land was covered with verdant plants, the dark spots cast by the clouds blocking the sunlight moved slowly across the earth, and a small river flowed through the city below.

Sean was suspended in the sky and was constantly falling downward.

As he got closer to the city below, Sean recognized where it was.

That's the city of Theresa in the kingdom of Wagner! It's where Sean grew up.

Strangely enough, though, some of the buildings here are not quite what Sean remembers, but with a familiar feel.

The descent grew faster and faster, and in Sean's confusion, he made his way through a dilapidated wooden shed and jerked to a halt above a man's head.

The man seemed to sense something, and looked up at the roof in confusion.

How can it be!

The moment he saw that face, Sean was instantly shocked and his brain went blank!

What he saw was exactly who he was when he was five years old!

……

The world is shattered!

Countless messages and memories churned and exploded in Sean's mind, and then fused and condensed.

It was as if his soul was being reshaped, and Sean felt nothing more than chaos.

The memories of possession of Wang Changge's body seemed to be copied into two copies, one did not change at all, and in the other memory, Sean's perspective disappeared completely.

Only Wang Changge has lived alone in the earth world for 21 years.

Just like the novel he wrote, after dying in an accident, he traveled to this world called the Plane of Faeron.

If he follows the normal plot, then he should take away a person who has died, and then hug left and right in this world and go to the peak of life.

It's a pity that reality is not fiction.

Unfortunately, he didn't have a choice, and under an inexplicable suction, he plunged headlong into Sean's brain.

For some reason, the soul of this five-year-old child has an extremely terrifying strength and tenacity.

Wang Changge fell into disadvantage in the confrontation at the beginning.

His memories were constantly being assimilated by Sean, and he could feel his resistance getting weaker and weaker.

It was only now, when he lost all his memories, that Wang Changge realized in a trance that eleven years had passed.

……

Sean finally understood everything.

I unconsciously began to devour Wang Changge's soul, and this devouring also contains the assimilation of memory.

For so many years, the reason why he couldn't become a professional was because all his soul power was spent on suppressing Wang Changge.

And now, with Wang Changge's soul devoured by him, there is nothing to stop him from stepping on the path of a professional, and even because of his powerful soul, his promotion speed will inevitably far exceed that of ordinary people in the early stage.

Holding back his excitement, Sean felt his body again, is he going to wake up?

……

The air smelled of earth, and faintly, Sean heard several strange shouts.

Opening his eyes slightly, Sean found himself curled up on the ground, his hands tightly bound by rope and a large plank beneath him.

With a strain on his waist and propping his body up, Sean nervously looked up and glanced at his surroundings.

The interior of a wooden prisoner cart is edged by a slender wooden railing that is so dense that not even a hand can reach out.

The prison cart was huge, and Sean wasn't the only one in it. Around him, there were a dozen people sitting crookedly, all of whom he knew and who had served Lauren.

Outside the car, Sean is surprised to find that the prisoner cart is being pushed by a group of vicious kobolds.

These kobolds are about 1.4 meters tall and are mostly covered in scaly skin that ranges between reddish-brown and black.

They have long, clawed fingers and crocodile-like jaws.

Their eyes were red, and from time to time they glanced at the prisoner van with a fierce or greedy look, as if they wanted to jump in and tear the humans apart.

Kobolds are omnivorous creatures that can eat almost all kinds of food, just like humans, including humans and kobolds themselves.

Kobolds are aggressive and fierce, but they fear the strong. Ordinary kobolds have slightly weaker combat power than ordinary adult males, and are social creatures, and are one of the most common monsters in the Faren Continent.

Almost all creatures with the word "human" in their name possess some intelligence, and kobolds are no exception, and they use some simple lingua franca and kobold to communicate.

Sean took a deep breath and tried to calm himself.

Because he didn't know the specific situation, he didn't dare to act rashly.

Fortunately, he could feel that the two Mithril coins he had hidden in his clothes were still there, which gave him a little comfort in his heart.

The most important thing he should do now is to figure out what happened before he woke up, and then think about how to get out of the current situation.

"Carey, I was stunned by the spell and have been unconscious until now, is it going on?"

Seeing that the people around him were silent, Sean touched the person next to him with his foot and asked in a low voice.

Carey was also a servant hired by Lauren, and was one of the more familiar ones to Sean.

"Lord Sean?"

Carey came out of his trance, and he looked at Sean in a trance.

"I don't know...... A nobleman, and a group of soldiers, they suddenly broke into the tower and captured everyone here. ”

"That's Brent Broad." A man sitting next to him looked at the restless kobold outside the prisoner cart, and interjected with a sigh: "You know, one of the three nobles of Teresa City, Count Broad. ”

Unfortunately, one of his men was taking someone out of town on an errand. As for what happened, I'm sure you've all heard some rumors......"

"Anyway, all the people have been caught here, and the next ......"

The man exhaled deeply, closed his eyes with a wry smile, and said nothing more.

Sean listened and was silent for a while.

He knew where the prisoner van was going, a place where they could disappear forever—a kobold camp or gathering point.

He had discovered that the entire prison cart was made of fire birch wood, and that the small door for people to enter and exit had not only been locked, but had even been completely sealed with several wooden strips.

Obviously, the people who locked them in didn't want to give them a chance of escape.

Fire birch is an extremely hard wood, and the wooden railings that seem to break with force are actually as hard as steel, so although they are very resistant to fire, they are still used for a wide range of purposes.
