Chapter 23: Dream and Reality

Harry put on the invisibility cloak he had received during the day when he unwrapped the Christmas presents, remembered what Roy had said to him a few days earlier, and walked out of the bedroom curiously.

Was this invisibility cloak given by Roy? He was a little confused, but the letter said that it was his father who had placed it on the sender and now returned it to him, but how could Roy know his father?

Since Roy didn't know his father, did he know someone would send him the Cloak of Invisibility? That's how it should be.

Harry walked through the forbidden book section in his cloak of invisibility and arrived in the room that Roy had told him beforehand.

There was no one in the room. Harry suddenly wanted to leave, but he saw a mirror and he walked over.

The mirror borders are strange. He stood in front of the mirror and was amazed to see him standing with several people. For some reason, his tears suddenly flowed, and he felt that these people were very kind.

That's when Roy walked up to him and said, "That's your family." Harry nodded and said, "Yes, they are my family. But this surprised him again, and said, "Roy, how do you know that they belong to my family?" ”

Roy said, "The Mirror of Eris allows you to see your innermost desires. Only the happiest people in the world can use it as an ordinary mirror. ”

Harry said, "What do you see in there?" ”

"Myself."

"Then you must be the happiest person in the world."

"Huh."

The two of them were silent for a while, and Roy said, "I can use it as an ordinary mirror, not because my heart's desire is satisfied." ”

"I can just recognize the difference between reality and illusion."

Roy continued, "Don't come back in the future. ”

"Why?"

"It is useless to dwell on the unreal." With that, Roy left.

Harry went the next day.

On the third day he still came. He took off his invisibility cloak and stood in front of the Mirror of Eris as a voice came from behind him, freezing his whole body.

"So—you're here again, Harry."

Harry turned around and saw Dumbledore. Dumbledore looked a little embarrassed, and said, "It's the third day, Harry. You should have listened to your friend's advice. ”

Harry was about to say something, but Dumbledore raised his hand to interrupt him, "I wasn't called by your friend, but I did be here three days ago." ”

……

After many more days, Dumbledore left the school, and Harry stood anxiously in front of Roy, urging him to defend the Philosopher's Stone. However, Roy rejected the offer, saying:

"I didn't have anything there when I went before."

Roy turned away, leaving the three stunned. They met again thirteen minutes later.

Roy spoke again and followed the stubborn trio into the room.

He blew the flute and put the big dog to sleep, then opened the trapdoor again.

The three of them landed first on the vine net, the sharp spikes causing the trio's clothes to be torn, and then a flame-colored flower fell again and burned the devil's net, and Roy slowly landed.

The trio rushed ahead along the winding road, leaving Roy right behind.

Upon arriving at a room filled with keys with azure wings, Roy expresses his powerlessness and leaves the trio to fend for themselves.

The three of them exhausted all methods, including the Flying Charm to open the door and even the Broomstick and even the Smashing Charm, until Roy, who was watching from the sidelines, whispered, "Why don't you try the wall?" They were able to push open the camouflaged wall door and enter the next room to face a group of medieval knights in armor ready to go, wielding angry bursts of thunder and fire. The knights formed a phalanx and charged at the trio in a well-trained manner, only to be blocked by Roy with a curtain of light and defeated by the trio with a spell they had learned all their lives.

Pacing through the phalanx, the trio skipped Roy's shot and went straight to knocking down the troll with the stick in his hand.

When asked about the end of the universe, all three were stumped by it, and Roy wrote "Go to the docks and get some fries" on a piece of paper and threw it into the flames, allowing Harry and him to move on, while the other two had to return.

Harry stepped over the wall of fire, but was stunned.

There is nothing here, nothing here.

The torches lit in the final room hissed and occasionally dripped, changing the light and shadow of Harry's face.

Since then, the trio's efforts have come to naught, and the various methods they have come up with to break through the level, and the surging enthusiasm for defending the Philosopher's Stone, have become empty in this room where there is nothing. Roy is like an adult messing around with a child, just watching silently, not participating in the child's play.

"Let's go." They were back at the door, back on the lawn, back on the Black Lake.

"Roy?" Harry asked, confused, "Why did you come to the Black Lagoon?" ”

Roy didn't speak, just pulled out his wand and pointed it at him.

"Roy?" Harry was shocked, but Roy remained silent, and his wand flew out with a green light that struck Harry in the chest.

Harry closed his eyes, and his mind was immediately plunged into darkness, and when he opened them again, he found himself in the middle of a boundless darkness, with only the sound of the wind whirring in his ears and the weightlessness reminding him that he was falling.

Boom. A muffled voice rang out in the Gryffindor boys' dormitory, and without waking anyone up, Harry slammed to the ground. He gasped for breath, and there were no insects in the silent night, for it was autumn and the Gryffindor Tower was on high.

The fall woke Harry up instantly, and he realized that what he had been experiencing was all a dream. He sat on the floor without saying a word before he climbed back into bed, remembering Roy's admonition and Dumbledore's eyes, and he couldn't help but suspect that the dream was the work of the two of them. Dumbledore, he didn't dare ask, I'll see Roy tomorrow.
