Chapter 33: Diagon Alley
Leaky Cauldron Bar,
As the oldest pub in London, it was founded by the legendary witch Daisy Daddridge and has a history of 500 years.
The pub is located at 1 Diagon Alley on Charing Cross, tucked away between a Muggle bookstore and record store, which is also the entrance to Diagon Alley.
If you haven't been to the Leaky Cauldron, you haven't been to Paris and haven't been to the Eiffel Tower; When I went to Shijia Village, I didn't eat the same as the authentic beef noodles according to ΫΆ Hui...... Almost tasted.
Therefore, wizards who come to London for the first time will choose this famous and time-honored store as their first stop.
The current owner of the Leaky Cauldron is Tom, known as Tom Sr., and is one of the famous "Tom" in the wizarding world.
It has always been rumored that the famous Dark Lord chose to change his name to "Voldemort" when he debuted, just because he collided with Tom Sr.
This statement was later confirmed in a new book by Rita Skeeter.
The book mentions that when Tom Riddle first came to the Leaky Cauldron, he said that his name was Tom, and he was teased by a group of drinkers as Tom Sr.'s long-missing son......
The true situation is unknown, but Old Tom, as the owner of the Leaky Cauldron Bar, has been conscientious since taking over the bar.
In particular, it has been hard to preserve the "authentic London flavor" of the bar.
When Rove and Shirley pushed the door open and walked into the bar, the old Victorian dirt on the bar was still clearly visible;
The fireplace burned violently, and the room was filled with pitch black, yellow, and purple, resulting in a spicy, choking "London fog...... The temperament of "Little Fog" is shown to the extreme.
Sitting at the bar,
Old Tom was teasing a dark green bird, and he whistled, but the bird was as cold as ice and didn't pay any attention to him.
Old Tom, on the contrary, was high-spirited, showed off his skills, and whistled numbly.
Several old women sat in the corner of the house, drinking heavily early in the morning, and the wizard was smoking hookahs and gurgling.
Rove walked to the bar with a small black suitcase, and he whispered, "Tom, good morning." β
Old Tom raised his head, stared at his cloudy eyes, and said with a smile:
"Yo, isn't this Rove? Long time no see...... Is your grandpa here? β
"No, he's not in London." Rove shook his head.
"Oh, that's a pity! I want him to help me with my palms. Tom was a little disappointed and said, "Look, I've got a new bird...... But life and death do not scream, like wood. β
"Why don't I take a look at it for you?" Rove thought for a moment.
"Then you are tired, help me take a look?"
Tom spoke in an authentic London accent, and he picked up the birdcage and placed it on the bar.
The room wasn't very well lit, but Rove just glanced at it and said softly:
"The whole body has a green sheen, and it looks like a vulture...... This is a bird, a little depressed, you can't do this cage, you have to change it to vitex wood. β
"Then why isn't it called?" Old Tom wondered.
Rove drew his wand and waved it lightly, and a stream of water flew from the cup in the distance, like a small rain curtain, and the droplets of water slammed into the bird's body with a crackling sound.
The bird chirped, but the sound was terrible, like a funeral suona, which woke up the drunken old witches.
"Birds only chirp when it's raining."
"Hey, it's Scamander, what a connoisseur!" Old Tom smiled: "Just rush at you, and the guest room will give you a twenty-percent discount in a while." β
He glanced at the girl behind Rove, but she was wearing a sunhat and couldn't see her face clearly, and the old man squeezed his eyebrows and said, "Forgive me for being clumsy, who is this?" β
"It's my friend." Rove said softly, "Please open two rooms and live until the first day of September when Hogwarts starts." β
"Friend......" Old Tom seemed to understand, and gave the boy a thumbs up and smiled, "Then it is full, and there is only one room left." β
ββ¦β¦β
Shirley was very stupid and naΓ―ve to think that there was really only one room left, and the girl looked at Rove, thinking that it would be okay to sleep in the cabin with a black suitcase, and she could save some money......
Rove shook his head slightly, and said seriously: "Tom, two rooms!" β
"Okay." Old Tom knew that he had misunderstood, so he had to take out two keys and said with a smile:
"The twelve and fourteen rooms, next to each other, are still the cleanest...... Say hello if there's something. β
Rove picked up the key, carried the black leather suitcase, and walked towards the second floor with Shirley.
"Rove, didn't the boss just say that there is only one?" Shirley wondered, "Why is there one more all of a sudden?" β
Seeing the girl's blank face, Rove knocked on the brim of the sunhat and said, "Don't ask more questions that shouldn't be." β
The brim of the hat covered the girl's eyebrows, and she wrinkled her delicate nose, snorted softly, and reached out to lift the hat again.
The first floor of the bar was dirty, as if it had accumulated dust for decades, but the second floor was surprisingly clean and there was no dust at all.
Each room had a brass plaque with the room number on it, and Rove opened the door after successfully finding rooms twelve and fourteen.
The room was large, with a comfortable-looking bed, a few pieces of polished oak furniture, and a crackling fire in the fireplace.
Rove opened the window, and he could see the busy streets of Diagon Alley.

With a few days to go before school starts, Rove and Shirley will be staying at the Leaky Cauldron for the time being, shopping for the books and items they need for the new semester.
After tidying up the room, they went to the backyard of the bar, and stood in front of an exterior wall, where Rove took out his wand and tapped it lightly three times.
The bricks shook and began to move, and a small hole appeared in the wall, and the hole grew larger and larger, and in a short time a wide archway appeared that led to a cobbled street that winded and had no end in sight.
The two walked along the archway and into Diagon Alley.
"What are we going to buy first?" Shirley asked.
"Let's go buy robes first." Rove thought for a moment and said, "It takes a long time to make a robe, so after measuring the size, go buy other items." β
They followed the road towards the Lady Morkin's robes store.
When Rove pushed the door and entered, he saw a short and fat witch with a smile on his face:
"Welcome, are you two going to buy Hogwarts uniforms?"
"Yes." Rove nodded.
"Please stand on the stool."
Mrs. Morkin asked Shirley to stand on the footstool first, and put a robe on her, using a pin to make a size that suited her.
After measuring Shirley, Mrs. Morkin whispered something in the girl's ear, and she nodded hesitantly, glanced at Rove, and walked towards another room.
Rove stood on the footstool, and after measuring the size, he saw that Shirley had not come out yet, and asked curiously: "Mrs. Morkin, is the back room also selling clothes?" β
"Hmm." Madame Morkin squinted and smiled, "But the kind is not for you." β
"Why?" Rove was confused: "Can I go in and have a look?" β
Madame Morkin couldn't help but laugh and said, "Of course." β
Rove pushed open the door, and out of the corner of his eye, he saw the scene in the room, and was stunned...... The room is full of women's underwear.
There was also an adult witch who was picking out underwear, and when she saw Rof, she threw out a piece of clothing directly and said with a smile: "Little one, come in and see!" β
As if he were on the verge of a great enemy, Rove instantly dodged the large bra with lace edges.
"Shirley, we'll see you at the Blotted Bookstore!"
A group of witches all looked at Shirley, and the ponytail girl pulled her sunhat with a crimson face, she bit her lip and said:
"Stupid!"
