Chapter 30: The Grindelwald Deal

Dumbledore returned to Berlin, but left Rove in the place where birds don't, leaving the boy speechless.

Not to mention that if he goes back to Karin's house to eat, drink and live, even if he stays in the German Ministry of Magic, it is better than staying in Newmengard and accompanying Grindelwald, a bad old man, right?

Of course, Rove would not show this disgust in front of Grindelwald.

It's not that I'm scared of Grindelwald, it's just that Rove is a person with quality, self-cultivation, and high emotional intelligence...... For Dumbledore's sake, and save three points for the former Dark Lord.

But Rove still grossly underestimated the severity of the environment, especially when it was time for dinner, when he looked at the food that Grindelwald had prepared for him, and his whole body froze in place.

It was a brown piece of German black bread with a hollowed-out middle and a full broth.

Rove pinched the black bread, his hand strength was not small, but pinching the bread, he couldn't pinch it flat, it was like holding a stone.

It's as hard as Hagrid's crust cake, and it doesn't feel out of place when used with a hammer!

The broth was indescribably bad, and Rove believed that it was sewage from the dead fountain on the rooftop.

On top of the yellowed and unpleasant soup were one or two pieces of whitish meat, which Rove guessed was rat meat.

"It's not rat meat." Grindelwald sat cross-legged on a rock, twisted a pinch of salt with his thumb and forefinger, and sprinkled it into his own soup.

"That's the meat of the Evil Elf, you can't eat this kind of game in England, I caught it for you."

Rove poked the pieces of meat with a fork, pulled the corners of his mouth and said, "Thank you so much." ”

The Evil Elf is a magical creature unique to Germany, and Rove has indeed never tasted it, but an animal that can spread in a country will be very average in meat for the most part.

What's more, with Grindelwald's approach, no matter how delicious the meat is, it will become pig food.

"You're welcome, let me take good care of you when Albus leaves." Grindelwald shoved a spoonful of broth into his mouth and smiled:

"Don't look at it badly, but if you don't eat it cleanly, you won't get sick, and the more tempting the food, the more careful you must be."

Grindelwald said, and put a few more elderberry leaves into Rove's bowl, highlighting a meat and vegetable pairing.

Grindelwald tore off a piece of bread and threw it in the broth, which soaked the brown bread until it softened before he chewed it.

Seeing that the young man still didn't move his mouth, the old man said softly:

"If you really don't like to eat evil spirits, I'll catch some beetles and earthworms for you, they're easy to find, just kick over a rock."

“……”

Rove sighed slightly, he stared at the black bread, and said silently:

"This is not bread soup, this is not bread soup, this is eel noodles...... This is eel silk noodles. ”

He scooped up another piece of meat with a spoon and muttered, "This is not a bad spirit, this is a fat intestine ......."

Rove swallowed the piece of meat in one gulp, and without even chewing, he swallowed the piece of salty fat, but it got stuck in his throat and choked him, and he hurriedly hammered his chest and coughed.

"How's it going, it tastes good, right?" Grindelwald smiled and said, "I like to eat it, and I'll catch you tomorrow." ”

Rove put the bowl on the ground in disgust, and he said in his heart: "Are there many evil spirits here?" ”

"The back mountains are everywhere, and they are all flooded." Grindelwald said calmly, "Many of the walls of Newmengard have collapsed because of the evil spirits, who have stolen a lot of masonry and picked them up for their own nests. ”

Rove was amazed, it was really the beasts of Nancun who bullied me, as a magizoologist, he had to help Grindelwald solve this problem.

Grindelwald wiped the corners of his mouth and asked, "Why don't you eat it?" ”

"I'm full." Rove is going to go back to his box in the evening and open a small stove, so forget about the meat of the evil elves.

He quickly opened his box again, picked up a crystal skull, handed it to Grindelwald, and said, "What you want!" ”

Grindelwald took the skull, and two blood-red eyes suddenly appeared in the empty sockets of the skull.

The two eyes rolled around for a moment before they slowly stopped, stared at the old man, and asked in a hoarse, uncertain tone, "Are you Grindelwald?" ”

"Igo, long time no see." The old man looked at him calmly.

"Grindelwald, you look like half a corpse." Skull was hard surprised and said, "Why are you so old compared to when I was separated?" ”

"Yes, the years make people old." Grindelwald, slowly raising his creaking knees, paced slowly:

"I'm sure I can't compare to you, I can live forever."

"You ......," the skull suddenly frightened, "you don't mean to kill me, do you?" ”

"Igo, I didn't kill you back then, and I naturally won't now." The old man gathered his robe and chuckled:

"Although I am old, our agreement is still valid, even if I die one day, someone will help me complete the agreement with you, you can rest assured!"

"Really?" The skull looked at the old man suspiciously, he knew what Grindelwald was capable of, but he didn't believe he could find a successor close to his strength.

"Igo, you can only trust me." Grindelwald smiled, and with a wave of his arm, the skull vanished into thin air.

Rove listened silently and didn't say a word, but he was guessing in his heart what special deal this son of Scoura had with Grindelwald.

Grindelwald didn't speak, he stood with his hands in his hands, and looked up at the sky, where the twilight was sinking and the cloudless sky turned a deep purple like a bruise, and then disappeared into darkness.

He stared at the dead and silent sky, the dark and bleak starless night, and after a long silence, he suddenly said:

"Boy, you can tell Albus everything you just heard, it's okay."

"I'm not the kind of person who makes small reports behind my back." Rove smiled:

"Besides, since Professor Dumbledore asked me to take the skull, he must know about your deal with that named Iago."

"You're not stupid." Grindelwald smiled as the cold wind resounded through the mountains, and his robe shook behind his back as if he had life.

"My deal with Igo was actually very simple, I helped him kill his father."

"Killed his father?" When Rove heard this, he was shocked.

"That's right, Igo's father abandoned him and his mother and left the island, so he hated his father and wanted to kill him with his own hands."

"So, who is his father?" Rove asked curiously.

"A wizard you know, too." The corners of Grindelwald's mouth curled slightly, vaguely sarcastic.

"Corvinus Gaunt."
