Chapter 237: Rove's Herbal List
Harry was holding a worn-out helmet and standing with Ron next to a bouncing bulb.
Harry still had the key in his hand, but instead of rushing to untie the chains on the Jumping Bulb, he asked in a low voice:
"Ron, do you think Hagrid will be expelled from school?"
"It's hard to say." Ron put his dark green helmet on his head, and he tugged at the new chains in his hand, and said:
"Don't forget, Hagrid was complained by Malfoy last year because of his Hippogriff's winged beast, and he was interrogated by the Ministry of Magic."
"But Rove cleared his name." Harry retorted, "Hagrid is innocent. β
"I know, but the school directors don't think so, they don't care about what happened, they just think it's ......," Ron sighed, "Why is it Hagrid who is causing trouble every time." β
"When I was a child, I heard my mom say that giants are extremely vicious, and Hagrid is a half-blood giant, and the parents of the students will not agree to him continue to be a professor of magical beasts protection after seeing the report."
"Hagrid is not cruel at all!" Harry said angrily, "That's all Rita Skeeter's!" β
"Harry, be quiet."
Ron looked up, glanced quietly at Professor Sprout, saw that she was talking to a Hufflepuff student, and didn't notice this, so he lowered his voice and continued:
"We know Hagrid isn't cruel, but the parents don't, they just believe Skeeter's rumors.
It's as if she's spreading rumors about us both and Snape...... There is such a relationship, it is obviously fake, but Seamus and Dean believe it is true. β
Harry was silent for a moment and said, "Dumbledore will definitely keep Hagrid, right?" Hagrid has always been so responsible. β
The corners of Ron's mouth twitched, not to mention that Dumbledore was also rumored that Hagrid was his illegitimate son, and he himself had to avoid suspicion.
The most critical ...... Hagrid was dutiful, how did Harry say that?
If Hagrid was really responsible, he wouldn't have let them raise fried tail snails for half a year!
Therefore, Ron's heart wants to replace Hagrid, so that it will be much safer to take the protection of magical beasts class in the future.
He didn't say that, though, especially when Harry was so angry.
Ron thought it was better not to talk about this topic, he thought for a moment and asked:
"Harry, how did you say that nasty woman found out that Hagrid was a half-blood giant? It couldn't be Hagrid telling her, right? β
"No, it won't." Harry huffed, "He's been hiding it from us, how could he tell Rita Skeeter?" β
"She must have special means." Ron fiddled with the chains in his hand and said:
"I was taken to his office by Snape that night, and I didn't see Skeeter at all, but she knew about it."
"Maybe she has an invisibility cloak too." Harry guessed, "Did she do this kind of thing, hiding in the corner in an invisibility cloak and eavesdropping on others?" β
"It's a pity we don't have the magic eye of Mad-Eye Moody." Ron regretted, "I heard my dad say that his magic eye can even penetrate the cloak of invisibility.
You might be able to talk to Dumbledore and ask him to borrow Moody's eyes for ......"
A cold voice suddenly sounded in the ears of the two of them. "Don't talk anymore!"
Harry and Ron shuddered, looked up and saw that it was Professor Sprout, who had come around to them for some time.
Professor Sprout glared at the two of them with a stern expression:
"The other students have already started to do it, Scamander and Miss Granger, they have even changed their chains, and you are still chatting here, Gryffindor button ten points!"
Harry and Ron turned their faces to look, and sure enough, Rolf and Hermione were wrapping their chained jumping bulbs around the trellises, looking very relaxed.
"Okay, Professor, let's do it!" Harry picked up the key, inserted it into the keyhole, and as Sprout turned around, he continued:
"Ron, we both have to go see Hagrid and tell him...... We want him back, and everyone wants him to come back and continue the lessons. β
Ron undid the chains that were wrapped around the bouncing bulb, and reluctantly persuaded:
"Harry, to be honest, Hagrid might want to rest for a while now, so let's go find him......"
Harry's angry gaze glared, and Ron quickly changed his words, "But I definitely want Hagrid to come back to teach immediately, and I'll go to him with you!" β
Harry nodded in satisfaction, and as he thought absentmindedly about how to persuade Hagrid to find him, he undid the chains.
The bouncing bulb suddenly writhed and broke free from Harry's grasp, and it slammed into Ron's face, causing his eyes to go black and he fell to the ground.
"Ron, are you alright?" Harry bent over to help him up.
Ron felt the bridge of his nose break, he touched his nose, it was oozing blood, and he shouted, "Hopping bulb ran away." β
Harry realized that the bouncing bulb was jumping towards the sky, and he reached out and grabbed the slender vine, which dragged him down with great force and slammed him to the ground.
Harry clung to the vine, his body surging like waves on the ground before he crashed into the trellis before stopping.
Not just the two of them, but many of the Hopping Bulbs were free from the little wizard's restraints and jumping around the room.
The bouncing bulbs, bouncing high arcs, slammed into the little wizard's head, helmets thumping.
Justin and McMillan sit on a restless bouncing bulb and don't let it escape.
Justin asked aloud, "Rov, why are your jumping bulbs so obedient?" β
"Jumping Bulbs are afraid of fire, you have to use fire against it."
Rove said, snapping his fingers, and a ball of fireball floated up close to the bouncing bulb under Justin's butt.
In just a few seconds, the two of them felt the vines dodging the flames and slowly stopped struggling.
Seeing this, the other students raised their wands.
Hannah drew her wand and swung it, shooting a blue bellflower-like flame at a jumping bulb.
It's just that her flame was so big that it directly ignited the vine, and Neville was startled and hurriedly used the clear spring like water to extinguish the fire.
Professor Sprout stared at the scene speechlessly, which was why she didn't explain that the Jumping Bulbs were afraid of fireβshe was afraid that the greenhouse would also be set on fire by the bunnies.
At this moment, the culprit, Rove, walked over with a smile.
"Professor Sprout, I have something to trouble you."
"What's the matter?" Sprout asked.
"The second item of the Triwizard Tournament, I already know the content, and now I need to boil the antidote." Rove looked embarrassed:
"But I'm short of herbs, and now I'm going to buy them, maybe I don't have enough time."
"I'm also a Hufflepuff student, and if I win the championship, it will be an honor for our house.
I want to ask you for herbs, and you won't refuse, right? β
"Okay." Professor Sprout agreed, and asked, "What herbs are there?" β
"Not much...... That's all, by the way, the reverse side is also written. β
Rove took out an A4-sized piece of parchment, handed it over, and said seriously: "If I win the championship, I will have one-third of your credit." β
