Chapter 33: The Beast Reoffends
"What do you see?"
Xavier looked up, only to see the overlapping distant mountains stretching towards the horizon, clearly discernible in the near distance, and gradually blurring in the distance, disappearing into the distant horizon.
Between the mountains, there is a thick layer of clouds and mist, and you can only see the top of the mountain, but not the foot of the mountain. From time to time, there was a long hissing of the giant beast, which resounded through the heavens and the earth.
"I now understand why Arna likes you"
"Why?"
"Because your heart has never been confined to this village, this high mountain, this small world"
"How so?" I asked.
Xavier smiled indifferently and didn't answer me.
"You feel like a different person to me now"
"Probably because I broke my head, I can't remember what happened before, I forgot what it was like before." I explained.
"Maybe, the way you are now, less radical than before, I don't think I will be able to surpass you in my life, but I am willing to admit defeat"
I looked up, this vast earth, thousands of miles of mountains and rivers, I already knew what I wanted in my heart.
"And you're going to continue to like Arna?"
"Yes, I know that Arna only has you in her heart, but until the end, I won't let go." Xavier replied in a firm tone.
"Good"
"Do you like Arna?"
I didn't answer, Xavier's face was slightly lost, Arna was indeed beautiful and moving, if I remembered our previous past, I didn't have much curiosity about the outside in my heart, and I was willing to live an ordinary life. I think I'll choose to spend the rest of my life with her in a small village.
It's just that I have a bad premonition in my heart, and this nervous fear fills my heart, prompting me to definitely go out.
"No matter what you choose, I will stay the course"
"Whatever you want"
The wind blows, mixed with the fragrance of light and flowers, and I enjoy the tranquility of this moment, feeling the breath of Mt. Kiritake, listening to its pulse, and overlooking the sea of forests at my feet.
Suddenly, I felt a slight shaking of the whole tree, not caused by the wind, but by some force hitting the trunk.
"Not good"
Xavier shouted at the same time as me. At the same time, we drew our swords and leaped straight down.
When I got to the ground, I found that there was a mess all around, with broken branches and broken trees, and traces of explosions on the ground, which must have been a vicious battle.
Arna gasped and stared around vigilantly, relieved to see us coming.
"Brother, it's Ataruga"
I looked around, the forest was gloomy and dark, and the clouds and mist made the visibility extremely low, and I could hold my breath and feel that it was hidden in the darkness not far away, waiting for an opportunity to move.
"Elvis, what do we do now?". Isaco's eyes flashed with a hint of fear, and he asked.
"This thing is not an ordinary brainless beast, everyone jump on this tree first, and I'll lure it out"
"No, brother, this is too dangerous, Ataruga has too much strength and is very fast, you should also hide in the tree first"
"I'll Go"
I turned my head to look at Xavier, and I saw that he had a calm face, and there was no panic in his heart. I don't know if he's challenging me, or maybe he's trying to show bravery in front of Arna.
I don't know much about Ataruga, but judging by the signs of destruction around him, he is a ruthless character. The situation is critical now, and since Xavier is willing to go, let him go.
"Elvis, after I draw it out, it's up to you"
Before the words fell, a white shadow quickly flashed in front of my eyes, and before long, a pig-killing wail came from the forest. Suddenly, there was a "click... The "click" sound came from far and near from the depths of the forest, and then a large number of trees fell to the ground, startling the birds that were roosting in the forest.
At the same time, I leapt to my feet and quickly swung the crimson sword in my hand, and in the blink of an eye, a huge crater appeared in the ground.
Isaac and Brady also understood my intentions in an instant, and jumped off the tree, picking up the broken trunks around them and crossing them.
I know this may not succeed, but this is the only way to subdue this ferocious beast.
A moment later, Xavier's figure came into view, the blood on his white robe was particularly conspicuous, and Attaruga behind him was like a madman, chasing after him.
"Xavier, here". Brady shouted.
Xavier seemed to understand our intentions, and then a sword light rushed towards Aitaruga behind him, and then quickly leaped towards us.
Apparently we had underestimated the beast, and upon seeing us all, an enraged Attaruga hastily halted his pursuit, roared at us, and turned to run away.
"Brother, what now?". Seeing that this method did not work, Elvia's face was slightly anxious and asked.
"It's okay, let it run"
I didn't rush to make a move, I looked at the direction of Aitaruga's escape, and I had a new plan in my heart.
"Elvia, what do you have in your hand?"
"Fluorite"
"How much do you have in your bag, bring them all"
Hearing this, Elvia threw the bag directly to me.
"Brother, what are you going to do?"
"Useful"
Then I leapt to my feet and sprinted swiftly in the direction of Attaruga's escape. A few people didn't know why, but they still kept up with me.
Aitaruga seemed to smell us, and stopped and turned his head to glare at us, white breath from his mouth and fiery red eyes.
I stared at the behemoth in front of me, and saw that it had sharp horns on its head, two fangs exposed, a sturdy body, stubby limbs, a long head, a mane like steel thorns, and a tan complexion.
"This time, let's see how you escape"
I shouted, swung my sword and rushed straight at me, but Ataruga slammed into me without dodging the counterattack.
With a "bang", the blade of the sword slashed towards the horns of its head.
With the flash of my sword, after several encounters, I landed on the branch, gasping for breath, staring at Aitaruga at my feet, its skin too hard for the sword in my hand to do it any harm.
Just as Attaruga slammed into the tree beneath my feet, Xavier's figure flashed, blades swiftly slicing across Attaruga's face.
While this did not harm Attaruga, it appeared to be in a state of rage from its manic appearance.
Sure enough, Attaruga came at us like crazy, and the tree beneath his feet "clicked... All of them were broken by the waist and smashed to the ground.
"Elvia, what do you do with this fluorite?"
"There's a button on it, press it, and throw it out, brother, why did you forget about this?"
I looked at Aitaruga at my feet, and a fluorite rushed towards it at great speed, and with a "boom" it exploded above its head, and the sparks that burst out enveloped its head.
Burned by the fire, Attaruga wailed in pain, his eyes reddening as he rampage at us, swift and ferocious than before.
"Ah~"
In a panic, Arna's feet slipped, and she fell from the tree.
"Arna!"
Xavier rushed quickly, trying to get in front of him and fend off the fatal blow of Aitarujana.
Just as everyone closed their eyes in despair, Ataruga suddenly stopped.
"Brother!"
The crimson sword slashed across my arm, and red blood gushed out and fell to the ground.
As I expected, Ataruga was extremely sensitive to blood, and the stronger the smell of blood, the more excited it became.
Ataruga let out a long roar and turned around and lunged at me.
"That's what I want."
I sprang to my feet and ran quickly towards the trap. If anger wasn't enough to stun Ataruga's mind, adding blood now is enough to make it lose its mind.
As the blood in the body continues to gush out, the whole body becomes extremely weak. I glanced back at Attaruga, who was in hot pursuit, and my eyes began to blur.
"Can you still hold on?"
