Chapter 36: The Monkeys Assemble

The sky was overcast, and the ink clouds seemed to darken half of the sky, and the heat on the ground mixed with the cool breeze, mixed with the fishy wet earth, seemed to be cold and hot.

Thunder and lightning streaked across the sky, followed by a piercing thunderclap. In an instant, the wind and clouds surged, and heavy rain seemed to be coming.

"It's going to rain"

Elvia looked up, there was no light in the sky, the wind was blowing, and the canopy of the trees swayed violently in the wind.

"Elvis, are you sure we're going back?"

"Right"

"You didn't say you couldn't stay here any longer, why do you want to go back now?"

I glanced at Isaac, I couldn't remember him in my head, as I was, he wasn't very strong, but since he was able to make friends with me, he must have had some advantages.

"It's hard to escape now, you can only gamble"

"Gambling with our lives?"

Brady seemed to realize that he had said the wrong thing and whispered, "I listen to you"

Things have developed to this point, and Isaac also realizes the seriousness of the matter and bows his head and does not say anything.

The atmosphere had dropped to freezing, and no one spoke anymore, silently walking back.

The rain is coming, and the creatures that sleep underground are bursting out of the ground to welcome their own revelry.

I looked up at the giant tree in front of me, holding a crimson sword in my hand, swinging it vigorously, and in the blink of an eye, a three-foot-high hole appeared in the tree.

"Xavier, it's up to you next"

I withdrew the crimson sword, a faint pain in my arm, blood dripping slowly down my fingertips.

Xavier understood what I meant, and waved the long sword in his hand, and in an instant the tree had been hollowed out by the blade, enough to accommodate a few of us.

Suddenly, the sound of "whooshing" came from the depths of the forest, and in an instant, the branches of the trees shook, and the roars rang out one after another, resounding through the sky, and the silent forest was suddenly in a hustle and bustle.

I unfastened my red-stained sleeves and threw them on the ground, looked down at the bloody wounds, and cut off a corner of my clothes with my sword and rewound them.

"Elvia, you guys go in first"

"Brother, what about you?"

I didn't answer, the crimson sword in my hand had already told her the answer.

"No, you're hurt"

I looked back at Arna, and saw that her eyes were full of tears, her face was like congealed cream, and her eyes were full of worry. I know exactly what I'm up against, but that's the only way to win.

"Isaac, Brady"

Hearing my shout, the two of them understood what I meant, and dragged Arna into the hollow of the tree.

I stuck the crimson sword on the ground, and then sat down, feeling dizzy and exhausted, and the hand holding the sword trembled.

"Can you hold on?"

"It should be fine"

"I'll take it here, and you'll go into the tree hole"

"It's too late"

I stood up with a shudder, drew my crimson sword from the ground, and looked ahead with my eyes. Herds of night monkeys have surrounded us, jumping from branch to branch and roaring at us.

In an instant, a white night monkey beast fell from the sky, slammed into the ground with a "boom", and did not rush to attack, its eyes glaring at us.

I saw that this night monkey beast was twice as large as an ordinary monkey, and its eyebrow ridge was high. The eyes are deeply sunken and wide, the eye mask is brown, and the mouth is large with terrifying fangs. The shoulders are broad and round, the neck and limbs are unusually thick, and the strand of golden hair on the top of the head shows its unique status.

It was like a hill in front of me, and I could feel the oppression of this monster deeply.

I looked around at the black-pressed monkeys, grinning their teeth, leaping through the woods, swarming and devouring us at the first order.

Xavier didn't seem to have seen such a scene either, cold sweat broke out on his forehead, and his hand holding the sword trembled slightly.

"What do you want to do?"

"Run"

"There are night monkeys all around, how can you escape?"

"When I throw the fluorite, quickly burrow into the hole that Ataruga made when he escaped"

"Good"

I looked back at the giant tree behind me, a smile on my lips, and then I jumped up, and several fluorites were already scattering in all directions, and the explosion of fire reflected the surroundings as if it were day.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, Xavier and I jumped into the pit.

"Xavier, take care"

"What do you mean?"

I didn't answer, but pushed Xavier into the hole, and with a "boom", the whole ground collapsed, sealing the hole tightly.

"I said I would let you go home safely"

I looked up and looked at the group of night monkeys around the pit, and there was no longer any fear in my heart, so I jumped up and rushed towards the monkeys with a few cold rays of light.

The white-haired night monkey beast did not dodge, only heard a few "clangs", but was blocked by it with its raised hand.

I landed lightly, crimson sword in hand, and stared directly at the beast that was three or four times larger than me.

The surrounding monkeys were about to pounce up, but they were repelled by the white-haired night monkey beasts, and they all lowered their heads and jumped back to the branches unwillingly, "squeaking" and screaming.

The white-haired night monkey beast roared angrily in the sky, beating its chest with both hands, and circled back and forth around me with its fangs.

"What, you want to duel me one-on-one?"

I held the crimson sword on my chest and watched the white-haired night monkey beast's every move, not daring to be careless, if I was hit by it, I would definitely be dead or maimed.

Suddenly, there was a "click", and a bolt of lightning pierced the sky, followed by a deafening thunderclap. Suddenly, the wind suddenly rose and whistled through the forest, blowing the branches "whirring".

After the thunder, the white-haired night monkey beast pounced, I hurriedly took a few steps back, jumped up, stepped on the trunk of the tree and rolled down, the crimson sword like a dragon out of the sea, the sharp edge pierced its head.

The white-haired night monkey seemed to sense my intentions, dodged sideways, and punched me directly.

With a "bang", the blade of the sword collided with its fist, and the huge impact directly knocked my body away, hitting the trunk of the tree behind me.

I stood up tremblingly, my eyes blurred, the wound on my left arm that was about to heal opened again, blood gushed out, and my sword-wielding right hand trembled. There was a dull pain in my chest, and the blow shattered several of my ribs.

I straightened up and wiped the blood from the corner of my mouth, knowing I couldn't defeat the beast, but I had to hold on.

I looked up at the dark sky, and I could already smell the rain in the wind.

"Come Again"

I let out a loud shout and swung my sword away, and the white-haired night monkey beast stared at my figure and swung its fist at it.

The moment it collided with its fist, I hurriedly bent down and snapped, and then a cold light quickly cut across its waist.

The white-haired night monkey beast lowered its head, and a blood mark on its abdomen was slowly dripping blood.

I gathered my sword and turned to look, and I knew that it couldn't cut it off. But it's also enough to make it fearful.

The irascible monkeys suddenly fell silent, and something terrible seemed to appear in their eyes, and they jumped to the branches behind them.

I looked at the night monkey in front of me, whose hair was gradually turning blood-red, and I must have completely angered it.

At this moment, a drop of rain quickly slipped in front of me.

"Finally, it's here!"
