Chapter 7: Desire
Anya casually put her black business card in her bag, trying not to let herself think about Aiden. She didn't have time to care about these issues.
She was immediately ready to visit her mother in the hospital.
The mother has been in a coma for three years and has been in the hospital. In the past three years, Anya struggled to make ends meet, worked hard to complete her university studies, and earned money to pay for her mother's hospitalization.
Her mother used to be a perfumer, a well-known perfume maker. Since childhood, Anya has often heard stories about her mother's work, and with her perfumes, mothers can make women feel more confident.
Her mother's story gradually became part of Anya's dream, which led her to major in chemistry during college. She hopes to one day become a professional perfumer like her mother.
Because of her work, her mother owns a small plot of land that she uses to cultivate flowers and plants. Every weekend, my mother often planted all kinds of flowers with Anya and told her about various perfumes.
With her wealth of knowledge and keen sense of smell, Anya used her abilities to make money, and she made her own perfumes and aromatherapy to sell in small shops.
That's all she can do now in order to survive. Unfortunately, these alone were not enough to cover her huge expenses.
When she was ready, she rode her bike to the hospital. In order to save as much money as possible, Anya rarely uses public transportation. In general, she chooses to walk. If it's a long way, ride a bike.
The hospital is like her second home, and she goes to the hospital in her free time to check on her mother's condition. Every time she went to the hospital, she always prayed that her mother would wake up and greet her with a smile as she had when she came home from school as a child. But unfortunately, she has to muster the courage to accept the blow of disillusionment every day.
Today, as usual, Anya saw her mother's figure still asleep, showing no signs of waking up. Various machines surround her, keeping the mother in a stable state.
As time passed, Mu Qing's appearance began to change. Her shoulder-length black hair had turned gray. Her otherwise smooth face began to wrinkle, and her body looked emaciated, as if time had swallowed her youth.
"Mom..... Anya misses you. She whispered, "Come on, wake up, Mom." Anya needs a mother. ”
On this day, it was as if all the feelings buried in my heart poured out. What happened to her today seemed to have increased the burden accumulated in her heart, making all her emotions overflow as if they were out of control.
Tears kept falling, and Anya couldn't help but sob.
She really misses her mom, the person she leans over to hug, the person she shares laughter and stories, the only person who truly loves her and is willing to do anything for her.
However, Anya knew that there was no point in crying. Crying does not wake up the mother, grief does not bring her back.
She doesn't have the right to cry all the time! She must be strong and continue to fight for her mother!
"Mom, Anya will continue to be strong for you, get better soon, Mom......" Anya said with tears in her eyes.
However, this emotion was greeted only by silence, no answer, and no warm smile.
However, this did not discourage Anya, and one day, her mother would return to her.
Anya was about to leave the hospital when a hospital administrator called her. Her mother has been hospitalized for three years, and the hospital staff already know her.
"Anya, the deposit you gave to the hospital is only enough for your mother's medical expenses next week." She looked at Anya sympathetically and said. She knew that Anya was fighting alone for her mother, and that Anya was the only one who kept coming to visit Diana.
When Anya heard the news, her face suddenly became dull, and the huge expenses had already spent all her savings. Now I have to pay not only my mother's hospitalization fee, but also the tuition fee for the next semester. Where did she get all this money?
She had just made up her mind to continue to be strong, but one problem after another made her unbearable, and life didn't seem to give her time to get back on her feet.
What should she do now?
Perfume and aromatherapy are her only source of income, and she doesn't have any jewelry or items to sell.
The only thing I have now is my mother's garden, should I sell that piece of land? But if the land is also sold, she will lose her only livelihood job. In addition, the ownership of the land was in her mother's name. Only her mother could sell the land.
Anya also asked her father for help, but her father refused on the grounds that his family was also in trouble. However, when Anya went to her father's house, she still saw a long queue of limousines. Mona is still dressed in gorgeous clothes and her phone is up to date.
Should she try to ask her father for help again?
But Anya realizes that what her father said is an excuse, but she doesn't want to help their mother and daughter because they are divorced.
Although they used to be together, my father felt that they were now living a non-interfering life with each other, so my father didn't want to be dragged down by other people's problems. Even if Anya went to college, her father was reluctant to spend money.
Suddenly, Anya remembered the black business card she had received before going to the hospital. The business card was still in her bag. She took out her business card and looked at it again, as if all her hopes were pinned on the little black piece of paper.
Aiden, CEO of Aichlich Group.
Should she meet this man? Anya didn't know what Aiden really wanted from her, or what he wanted to see her for.
But Anya knows that the Ai family is one of the largest in the city. Maybe she could ask Aiden for help or borrow some money. Alternatively, Anya could ask Aiden to give her a job. Even if she is a maid, as long as she can pay for her mother's hospitalization, Anya is willing.
Asking strangers for help sounds ridiculous. Moreover, it was the first time I saw Aiden this morning.
But she had no choice. She was on the verge of despair.
"Should I ask him for help?"
