Chapter 9: Jasmine's Birthday (2)
After the meal, the two went upstairs with their pet chickens. Jasmine bathed it in warm water, and the chicken was soaking wet and shivering in the basin.
Ryan laughed: "Hahaha, soup chicken!" β
"What?"
"An old saying."
After washing, Jasmine wrapped it in a soft towel and dried it, and the little one immediately became fluffy and cute again.
"How's that, it's a cute baby!" Jasmine hugged her pet chicken and smiled happily.
In the past few months of marriage, this is the first time Ryan has seen Jasmine smile so happily, and he can't help but smile, "Then let it accompany you every day." β
"What does it eat?" Jasmine asked.
Ryan handed out the feeding manual to Jasmine, and the little thing was expensive to eat and drink, and they fell into a huge pit, but Jasmine was happy.
The lights in the room, as usual, dimmed. Jasmine hugged the pet chicken, walked over, and placed it in Ryan's arms.
The little one had two big eyes open and his neck moving to look at Ryan, who held it and felt its warm body temperature, and its thumping, fast-beating heartbeat under its thin feathers. It was different from the toys he had played with as a child, and it was not like the various robot pets that were very popular in the Ark.
It's life, a life.
It's not perfect, but it's magical
Ryan held up the two feet of the pet chicken and looked at it, the little one folded his wings, nervously maintaining his balance, his expression serious and vigilant.
"Look at you, it freaks the freak out of it." Jasmine took it away.
Jasmine put it on her arm, gently stroked its feathers, as if holding a child, and said, "I love it, thank you." β
Ryan nodded and smiled.
Jasmine puts the chicken in its cage and puts it outside the bedroom. Jasmine returned with two delicate cups in her hands containing brightly colored drinks.
"Ryan, taste."
"What is this?"
"Cocktails, I'm new."
"Wine?"
"It's low in alcohol β how's that?"
Ryan took a small sip and tasted the alcohol. "Well, it's okay, it's pretty good."
"Cheers, then." Jasmine took the cup and touched Ryan.
"Jasmine," Ryan said, holding his glass, "where did you get the wine?" "There is no alcohol for sale in the store, and it is forbidden for brides who are trying to get pregnant.
"Leave it alone."
"Where the hell did you come from?"
"It's Vincent...... sent. β
"I knew it was him!"
"Alrightβcheers."
"Jasmine," Ryan called to Jasmine again, "if you haven't drunk it, you'd better drink less." β
Jasmine held the cup and looked at Ryan with bright eyes, "Ryan, do you want to know what I made just now?" οΌ
"Think...... It's just that it doesn't work when you say it. β
"But my wish has to do with you......"
Ryan's gaze drooped, "I know......"
"Then you ......" Jasmine bent her knees slightly, continuing to look into Ryan's eyes, "Will you grant my wish?" β
"Jasmine," Ryan sighed, "I wish I could explain it to you......"
Tears welled up in Jasmine's eyes, "I just want one child, Ryan." β
"I know ......"
"But you ......," Jasmine's voice stirred, "I only want a child!" β
"Jasmine ......"
Jasmine raised her head and drank the wine from the glass, facing the empty glass to Ryan, "What about you, can you drink it?" β
Ryan understood what was in the wine. He looked at the wine, the dreamy color, like a pink pill.
After looking at it for a while, Ryan said, "Jasmine, not taking medicine is my bottom line." β
Jasmine's fists clenched at her sides, "Ryan, I really just want one kid......"
Ryan put down the cup, stepped forward, and hugged Jasmine, "Jasmine, don't do this."
"Ryan, you know I never forced you......" Ryan felt Riley's body tremble, but stubbornly refused to lean on his body, he hugged Jasmine tighter, "Jasmine, you listen to me......"
Jasmine's body trembled, "Ryan, why are you, why the hell?" What should we do, what should we do! β
Ryan's heart seemed to be beaten repeatedly by a sledgehammer, he hugged Jasmine, caressed her back with his hand, and through the thin fabric, he hugged this beautiful woman, but his body was as still as water.
"Jasmine," he said at last, "let's get a divorce." β
He felt the man in his arms suddenly stand still, and stood there stiffly. "What did you say?"
"I have figured out the reasons for the dissolution of our marriage."
Ryan put his chin on Jasmine's shoulder and said softly: "When I was doing the psychological test of the preferred person, I falsified the test results, this, can be proved by my psychological test results on the day of the matching, my preferred person identity is in violation, this reason, is it enough?" β
Jasmine gently left Ryan and stared at him blankly, a tear dripping down her face.
Ryan said: "If my preferred person status is not established, our marriage will not be established, I will apply, and I will bear all the responsibilities, and as for you, you can start your life again." β
Jasmine gently raised her hand and stroked Ryan's face, "Are you stupid?" β
"No," Ryan lowered his eyes and took Jasmine's hand on his cheek, "I think it's good for you and for me." β
Jasmine shook her head slowly, wrapped her hand around Ryan's neck, and cried on his chest, "No, this doesn't work, how can this work......"
Ryan returned to the small bedroom and sat down on the edge of the bed, feeling exhausted.
Yes, everything was his fault, and now it is much easier to say it.
Although, he didn't know what he would face if he applied like this.
It's a big deal, I'm going to be caught by the Security Affairs Agency. Electric shock, imprisonment, or purge? As long as it's not cleared, even if I lose my job, I'm not going to be able to get a bite to eat......
Suddenly, a woman's voice sounded: "I'm really curious, how long will it take you to find me?" β
Ryan jerked his head up and saw a man sitting in front of the window.
