Chapter 255: The Story of the Feared Dead
A strong current of air whipped the dark green foliage around it, and the space shuttle started its engines in preparation for the evacuation of the Hell's Gate base.
What was once the former fortress of the RDA organization on the planet Pandora is now in ruins, with almost all of its equipment destroyed and personnel dead.
This is bad news for everyone, including them, as it would result in transports staying near Pandora's orbit not being effectively resupplied.
I'm afraid that by the time they return to the ship in the space shuttle, everyone will fall asleep again, waiting until the RDA sends more people from their home planet.
They are not worried about being abandoned, because for the RDA, superconducting ores on Pandora have become an indispensable part of the business.
The gates of hell are gone, and they can be rebuilt, but the planet Pandora is gone, which will cause a storm of stock prices that will affect millions of people, as well as the food, clothing, and shelter of billions of people in this chain.
Just as the driver reluctantly took one last look at the gates of hell and was about to fly away, they found that they seemed to be unable to walk at the moment.
"Alert! Alert! ”
In the cockpit, the warning sound of the shuttle sounded continuously, and the two pilots watched the multiple values on the display soar at an astonishing rate.
When they felt that their blood pressure was about to rise, the value suddenly dropped again.
"What's going on?"
The two pilots are now somewhat confused.
They looked out the window through the screen, and it was as if nothing had happened.
But this made the two of them even more alarmed, and it was a bit strange that on such a primitive planet, it was so quiet that they couldn't even hear a bird's call.
It was as if the moment when the clouds were thick and the rain was about to come, everything was suppressed by some kind of force.
Their feeling was right, if the shuttle could fly a little higher, it would be clear that the atmosphere of Pandora was now filled with lightning and thunder, and the materialized plasma flowed and exploded between the clouds.
And beneath the clouds, the most sacred place in the hearts of Pandora's native creatures, the location of the Tree of Souls, is the cause of this storm.
In other words, the reason for this energy fluctuation is related to Shen Sen.
From the moment he came to the basin where the Tree of Souls was located, a full twenty-four hours had passed according to the calendar time of the Star Empire.
He originally thought that if he tried to use psionic energy to influence "Ava", there would be two results, either the opponent's intelligence was not high, and the mental defense was weak, and he could easily take down the opponent. Either they encounter a situation similar to the red vest prawn population, and the other party's thinking will is something that Shen Sen can't understand or Shen Sen can't break.
But Shen Sen never imagined that when he used spiritual energy to contact the other party, it would be a "protracted battle" in which the dominance lay with him.
said that it was a war, but it was not as dangerous and fierce as Shen Sen imagined, for him, it was more like watching an edited bits and pieces movie.
When he used his psionic energy to try to establish a connection with the Tree of Souls, Shen Sen found himself shuttling into the other's neural network as if he had become invisible.
There, Shen Sen met the souls of many creatures native to Pandora, more specifically a collection of memories and emotions.
There are so many of these data. From time to time, it can even be traced back to the first generation of Ne'vi ancestors.
Time pushes forward until the first shadow of Pandora appears.
Shen Sen was surprised to find that the original form of Pandora was not a poor lump of gas, dust, or ice particles, but a life form that was close to a pure energy state.
"It" is not a product of cosmic chance, but an incomparably powerful population. In the very early days of the universe was born in the midst of swirling clouds of gas and unimaginable energy.
At that time, the living space of "them" was just a huge cloud of hot gas dust that was constantly spinning. In this huge cloud there are countless young stars that are gradually forming.
Long before the oldest planets were created and cooled, the unimaginable energy emitted by the spin of massive amounts of matter constituted the first self-aware creatures that first appeared in stars filled with plasma clouds and flames. Therefore, they are born etheric beings.
In their natural form, "they" are gigantic beings whose bodies extend and expand to envelop the surface of the stars.
Initially, the stars that gave birth to them provided them with a large amount of energy, and like a group of young beasts greedily sucking and strengthening their own nutrients, they gathered around the stars and sucked their power at will, thus greatly shortening the lifespan of those stars.
Eventually, the vampires of these stars learned to unfurl their thin, large, invisible wings, using the magnetic solar wind to travel through the universe, leaving dead stars in search of a new host, thus beginning a new cycle of energy.
"They" flew through the vast void, leaving the surrounding planets behind, and the energy released by the violent magma movements and electromagnetic field changes under the crust of these new planets did not satisfy the appetites of these behemoths, so they did not pay attention to them.
Shen Sen watched the other party ruthlessly devour the energy of thousands of stars over millions of years, thinking that a new civilization had emerged when it was going to continue.
Fear the Dead!
As a bystander, Shen Sen thought it was a younger, more cruel race. They spend their entire lives fighting for the survival of their race.
In a sense, the Death-Fears are an unfortunate race. In their galaxy, terrible stars continue to bring disasters, scattering hot plasma storms and flares to the surrounding planets, and frequent cosmic radiation shocks devastate the lives of the dreadful.
Although Shen Sen knew very little about the Fear of the Dead, he could guess that their lives should be very short, always in danger, and often scorched and consumed by the deadly radiation heat waves brought by the cold star. Thus making them a changeable and melancholy and sick people.
Their lives are in danger, and they are often born in the cradle and then go straight to the grave, where they die.
The Dreadnoughts try to control their destiny through the development of technology, but the worst of all: the curse imprinted into their genes will never be lifted. They kept researching, but found nothing.
The cold star still rules over them, bringing life as well as death, playing the dual role of creator and death.
As a result, the Dreads have built huge graveyard cities, and their short lives seem to be enough to complete the path to the grave. Countless living people hurried by, and soon stepped into the ranks of the deceased ancestors.
Unable to find peace in their homeland, the Dreads are forced to build massive starships and blindly head towards the surrounding galaxy. Covering the exterior of the starship with living metal to accommodate long journeys, and having burial chambers for hibernation for crew members, the Death-Dreads began a slow expansion of colonization.
Expansion was accompanied by the collision and exchange of various civilizations, and the Dreadnosaurs did not encounter "them" first, but first encountered a civilization called the Ancient Sage in the process of colonization.
The Ancients are terrifyingly highly intelligent beings who possess great intelligence and control vast territories. They have technology and civilization that are unimaginable to the stars today, and they have created new and unique life forms on countless planets through genetic technology, just like the real creator gods.
The colonization efficiency of these super-intelligent lifeforms far exceeds the slow pace of the Dreaders. Because of this, and also because of the near-immortal lifespan of the ancient saints, the fear of the dead has developed a swelling of jealousy and hatred towards them. The hatred was so intense that it tore at their minds like a curse in their genes eating away at their bodies.
Stimulated by jealousy and hatred, or the breakdown of negotiations, Shen Sen finally learned that the Death-Dreaders had mobilized the power of their entire civilization with the intention of destroying all the Ancient Saints and other life forms cultivated by the Ancient Saints.
A war broke out, both in terms of time and space.
The war was more tragic than you could have imagined, but from the outset, the Dreads had no hope of victory.
Their technology was completely surpassed by the Ancients, who used their mastery of the teleportation network to skillfully mobilize their forces to outflank the Dreads with ease and defeat, and drive them back to their homeland.
At this time, the Fear of the Dead is weak in power, and to the Old Saints is only a small and insignificant offender, a silent threat exiled to the outskirts of the world and forgotten.
The long hours of imprisonment have extinguished the anger of the Fears, but they have turned to hatred for all other lives and are determined to fight for revenge against their near-invincible enemies.
Long ago, the Dreads began studying the stars and trying to master their terrifying powers. For countless long and arduous centuries, the Dreads have sought a way to harness the power of the stars to take revenge on the Old Saints.
Eventually, they found anomalies in some of the oldest dying stars, and that was "them".
The power of these pure energy creatures is so powerful, and the energy from the stars makes them so vibrant, that the Dreadors named these creatures Star Gods.
From his fragmentary memories, Shen Sen learned that the two seemed to have reached a cooperation agreement, and eventually the Dreaded Dead used reactive metal to create a series of physical bodies for the Star Gods.
The gods then used the "Invisible Bridge of Starlight" to transfer themselves into the newly created bodies, where the energy creatures that had been thousands of miles long were compressed into a relatively small body, and had the ability to interfere with the physical universe at will.
Massive amounts of energy were compressed into living metal shells, and the Star Gods finally appeared in the face of the Dreaded Death, and the monsters began to like their metal bodies and the physical world.
The countless Fears of the Dead around them and the electromagnetic reactions emitted from them aroused the hunger of the star gods, and this hunger was very novel, far different from their hunger for the energy of the stars, which was the thirst for the soul or the mind.
From Shen Sen's onlooker perspective, Xingshen quickly took control of the entire situation and took the lead.
They do have the power of gods, but they don't have the character of gods, and their attitudes are as ruthless and changeable as stars.
With the support of the Star Gods, the Dreads prepare to resume their war of revenge, but at this point the Dreads come up with a new proposal, promising an endless lifespan that has been pursued by all of the Dreads for countless eons of years, so they quickly take the restless and well-meaning advice.
Their cursed flesh will be replaced by living metal, and then the abandoned bodies will be devoured by the Star Gods, and the Death-Dreads with metal bodies will have no qualms about vengeance against the Old Saints and the life of the universe as a whole, freeing them from the limitations and weaknesses of their flesh forever.
Shen Sen didn't know exactly what happened at that time, but there was no doubt that when the entire race of the Dreadnought was thrown into living metal by the Star God, their race was completely cleansed, becoming the slaves of the Star God, and also becoming a completely new race-space necromancer.
The Star Gods feast on the luscious souls of all the Dreads, and only the most powerful Dreads retain their former wisdom, but they are only shadows or memories of the past.
But the space necrons don't care, they have received the eternal life promised by their gods, and all that remains is a bitter hatred for all life.
Countless undead warriors began their journey of conquest aboard the huge Catacombs battleship, and the entire universe was suddenly plunged into monstrous warfare. The Star Gods, with their immense power from the stars, easily overwhelmed the Ancient Sage's teleportation network technology, and the undead began to massacre their long-cherished foes.
Soon after, the Space Necrons not only wiped out the Old Sages, but also realized the mistake they had made in dealing with the Star Gods, and rose up against their enslavers.
Out of arrogance, the Star Gods were unaware of the danger they were facing, and it was not until the Space Undead used special weapons to gather unimaginable amounts of active cosmic energy to completely tear apart the Star Gods.
Since then, the shattered star gods have turned into fragments, some of which have been dropped into the battlefield as weapons in the hands of the space undead, and some have floated in the universe.
I don't know how long it took for a piece of debris to eventually become an asteroid, and with the support of strong energy, Pandora has a rich ecology and has become a "living" planet with neural networks.
As the story comes to an end, the vortex of energy surging again on the planet Pandora finally calms down.
On the edge of the basin, Shen Sen took a long breath and looked at the Tree of Souls in front of him, his eyes flashed not the joy of controlling success, but the worry of a new life.
"Subspace Channel? Ancient Saints? ”
