Chapter 16: Dirty

Bahrain rode through the streets in military wagons and escorted wooden boxes. Along the way, the names of the cities that had been separated from their loved ones wept and ran around. Overhead, the explosion of witchcraft colliding was constantly heard.

Occasionally, some loose witchcraft falls to the ground, blowing up buildings and even falling into the crowd of people on the street, taking away the lives of each other.

Bahrain clenched his teeth and hung out of the carriage with a blank face, keeping watch at all times. He knew that the other party would definitely not be limited to those few wizards, and there would definitely be corresponding manpower after destroying the Department of Homeland Security.

Sure enough, two streamers had already shot from the sky.

"Aang!" the cyclops roared in the sky, spreading his large hand to condense a chain of thunder, attacking the streamer like a long whip.

There was a thunderous click.

Two streamers were struck by the Thunder Chain, revealing the bodies of two Level 4 wizards. However, more third-level wizards rose on all sides of the Sea of Stars at the same time. Level 3 wizards are not yet able to sorcery their bodies, so they can only fly to the Department of Homeland Security.

The fifth-level wizard snorted coldly: "This is your plan?"

The voice fell, and he raised his hand and waved a colorful band of light. The band of light ruptures, breaking down into fragments and falling to the ground.

The earth trembled, the ground tore apart where the light band fell, and a humanoid creature condensed from the sand broke through the earth.

In a silent roar, the pillar-like arms were raised high, and a huge stone ball condensed at the end of what was suspected to be the palm of the hand. The sand giants struggled to smash the stone into the third-level wizards in the sky, and although the power was not great, it far exceeded the number of the mysterious wizards who attacked.

Hundreds of stone balls smashed from the ground into the wizard in the sky.

A fifth-level wizard, his left hand unleashed a black vortex to defend against the witchcraft that attacked him, and the other hand once again shot out a band of light. The ribbon of light broke again, but it turned into chains, locked in the sky to the third-level wizard in the sky. Immediately, most of the energy of the third-level wizards was involved, and they could only deal with the stone ball in embarrassment.

If he hadn't been held back by fourth-level wizards, he would have had no trouble dealing with these third-level wizards. This is the chasm of wizard ranks.

At this time, the battle situation in the sky was gradually controlled by the fifth-level wizards, and the soul-binding space of the eight fourth-level wizards who attacked Earl had been locked by him, and their witchcraft was also resisted by the black vortex. The two fourth-level wizards who attacked the DHS were pinned down by his cyclops, and the remaining third-level wizards were also embarrassed to dodge under the attack of the stone balls in the sky.

Level 5 wizards are expected to be able to completely suppress them in just ten minutes!

Bahrain looked at the battle in the sky and said that it was impossible not to envy. However, seeing that the fifth-level wizard gradually controlled the situation, his heart also settled down.

Suddenly, more than a dozen armed warriors armed with crossbows rushed out of the crowd, and the bows and crossbows were already aimed at Bahrain.

Bahrain was ruthless in his heart, ignoring the innocent freedmen around them, and raised his hand to shoot eight small fireballs.

Booming fireballs exploded around these people, trying to cover as many enemies as possible with one fireball. But at the same time, it did come at a cost that more freedmen fell under the explosion of the fireball.

"Quick!"

Bahrain shouted loudly, but the increasingly chaotic crowd blocked the carriage's direction.

Wheezing rapidly, Bahrain, who had decided to come on the spur of the moment, did not bring the Moon Spring water. Mana depletion is not something that can be recovered in a few minutes!

"Leave them alone!" Bahrain was sweating profusely, and his voice hurried to order the accompanying escort agent.

Several agents looked at each other, unwilling to point their weapons at their citizens.

"There's no time to hesitate, hurry! Remember, only by protecting the key things can we hand over the Tower of Babel to help us deal with these crazy wizards! Otherwise, our city will be threatened by them at any time!"

"Make way for the carriage!" finally one of the team leaders in charge of the group gave the order.

The passing agent looked reluctant, but also agreed with the wizard's words, and took out his weapon and began to carry out the mission of opening the way.

The speed of the carriage finally increased, and Bahrain asked for a crossbow. There was only one chance, and he couldn't care too much at this time. Leaned out of the carriage again, raised his crossbow and shot indiscriminately at the armed bandits in the crowd who were still rapidly approaching from all directions.

The bandits even took no account of civilian casualties and fired at Bahrain. Fortunately, there was a carriage to block most of the crossbow arrows for the wizard. The rest of the bolts failed to hit Bahrain.

Bang

A piece of a building smashed into a wagon wheel.

The sound of the metal grinding after twisting sounded. Under the pull of the four war horses in battle armor, the carriage, which had lost power on one side, rolled over with a bang.

Whizzing crossbow bolts constantly fired at each other. The leader of the escort grabbed Bahrain by the hair and pushed him down behind the wagon.

The crowd was even more frightened, with screaming women holding children in their arms and crying or hiding in corners shivering.

The horse's ass was also frightened and frenzied, and the beast struggling to escape pulled the overturned carriage and kept vibrating.

"Witchcraft! Witchcraft!" an agent shook Balin violently, demanding that the wizard unleash the witchcraft!

"I don't have mana!" Bahrain pushed the other man away with a decadent expression.

"Bichi!"

As the attackers continued to approach, Bahrain leaned out behind the carriage with his crossbow in hand and pulled the trigger on the approaching attackers in front of him. Three crossbow arrows were fired, one into the civilian running next to the attacker, the other into the ground, only one of which pierced the shoulder.

"Crossbow arrows!" Barin shouted back to the back of the carriage, and a shuttle of crossbow arrows was shoved into Balin's arms by an agent.

Sorcery-blessed bolts are embedded in the shuttle and can be self-reloaded. Bahrain hurriedly took out the empty shuttle and replaced it with a new one.

Just as he was about to lean out, several crossbow arrows slammed into the metal stand in Bahrain's ear, making a loud sound.

The wizard felt a thirst run in his throat, and the tension made his breathing quicker and shorter.

Leaning out again, he pulled the trigger and shot the two attackers, who were already less than fifty meters away. Just as he was about to turn around and duck back into the carriage, a crossbow arrow slammed into his shoulder.

"Ahh

The agent next to him grabbed him and dragged the wizard to the middle of the carriage to his stomach.

The back of Bahrain's head was pressed against the bearing at the bottom of the carriage, and cold sweat was pouring out. The body that lacks exercise quickly develops a violent stress response. Hormones that are disrupted by the stress response make it impossible for the brain to think continuously.

In response to the appointment, Bahrain heard the sound of a large number of horses galloping and approaching.

"Bahrain!" a familiar woman's voice called out his name.

"Farah" shouted in a desperate voice as the wizard who had forcibly cheered up, as if to divert the cry in this way: "I'm here Farah!"

Following the direction from which the voice of Bahrain came, Farah commanded the security personnel of the Thanksgiving Chamber of Commerce to quickly break through the crowd and surround the overturned carriage in the innermost.

Farah jumped out of the carriage and crossed the overturned carriage, looking at the pale wizard with a crossbow bolt on his shoulder, and let out an inexplicable sneer.

"Alive?" said Farrah, walking up to Bahrain, the tip of her shoe touching his thigh.

"Take me away!" Barin didn't have the heart to talk nonsense with her.

The two agents lifted the carriage that Bahrain had placed into Farah, and then carried the wooden box into it and lowered it next to Bahrain.

"Let's go!"

With the armed forces of the Thanksgiving Chamber of Commerce joining, the five carriages once again broke through the crowd and galloped away.

The attackers who came from behind kept firing crossbow arrows at the convoy, but they could no longer stop them from leaving. He could only push away the crowd and desperately chase after the departing carriage.

The convoy soon arrived at the Thanksgiving Chamber of Commerce.

The security personnel who had been waiting for a long time immediately carried the wooden box into the chamber of commerce, and then brought Bahrain and others into it, and then closed the door.

"Why are they coming?" asked Bahrain after the escort team leader was temporarily out of danger.

"When I saw the destruction of the Department of Homeland Security, I knew they were there to grab the wooden boxes. Therefore, someone has been sent to notify the Chamber of Commerce in advance to come and respond!" Bahrain said this is also true.

The escort team leader nodded: "With them in charge of settling you, we won't go up." The attackers will definitely come to attack the Chamber of Commerce. We stayed downstairs to assist in the defense!"

Bahrain's face was pale, and the muscles at the corners of his mouth were stimulated by the pain: "Good!"

When he was far away from the agents of the Department of Homeland Security, Balin held his nerve and said to Farah with an inexplicable expression on his face: "My job is done, it's time for you to pay!"

"Money, not death!" Farah stabbed him and ignored him.

The forcible lifting breath was released, and Bahrain's eyes flickered. I simply closed my eyes and silently felt the up and down vibrations of the stretcher. The shoulder is numb and no longer feels pain.

With the faces of the innocent civilians he had accidentally injured in his mind, Bahrain laughed inwardly: "What a dirty deal"
