The Shiguan ceremony is a solemn coming-of-age ceremony, and its operation process is also extraordinarily exquisite. The second rite is the ceremonial rite, the liturgical procedure on the day of the crowning, and the complete sequence is ten:

Costume ware: Early in the morning, ceremonial utensils, sacrifices and celebratory costumes are displayed.

Greeting the Celebrant to the Temple: The parents of the crowned person welcome the guests into the family temple.

Three crowns: the first cloth crown, which means that the crown has the ability to eat and drink; Second, add a leather crown, the leather crown is also known as the martial crown, which means that the champion has basic martial arts; Sanjia Crown, also known as the Wen Crown, means that the crown basically has the ability to know and reason; The meaning of the triple crown is to motivate the champion to continue to forge ahead from humility and respect, which is said to be "the three crowns, and the will of the three crowns!"

The guest of honor will give wine to the crowner.

The crowned person sees the mother: The crowned person formally visits the mother who is determined by the ceremony, and it may not be the biological mother.

Guest Table: The official guest gives the crowned person a title other than his own name for common titles, which is called "table character" to distinguish it from the name chosen by his parents. After the crowning, the "table character" is replaced by the "name", and only the parents can call their real names, and the etiquette is to revere the name given by the parents for the crown. It is said that "the name is the word, and the name is respected!"

The program of giving the table word to the Spring and Autumn Period has been rare, the Warring States and even the Qin, the Western Han Dynasty, the world is turbulent, this kind of one person and two names of the cumbersome program has largely disappeared, or replaced by a flexible form, people are mostly present in their own names. Until the beginning of the Eastern Han Dynasty, the style of respecting Confucianism among the gentry and nobles gradually flourished, and the ancient rites of taking words from outside their names were restored, and it became a popular trend for a while. But Ji Hu is different from others, he has become the Son of Heaven, no matter his name or word, he can't call the world directly, so this program was canceled.

Sending off the guests: After sending off the guests, take out the dried meat of three animals from the ritual vessels where the sacrifices are displayed, and divide them into several portions according to the number of guests, which is called "figurative meat". He then sent his family to deliver the meat to the homes of all the guests, with the intention of making all the guests share the blessings of heaven with the crowned one. At this point, the Shiguan ceremony is completed.

In addition to the two major rituals, there is still an extremely important part to be familiar with in the pre-ritual stage, that is, the legal etiquette and action procedures of each link. All participants in the Crowning Ceremony must familiarize themselves with these rites and all the procedures related to themselves in order to be accurate in their words and deeds when it is their turn to participate in the Ceremony.

The crown ceremony procedure is so complicated and meticulous, the celebrant must be a virtuous person who is proficient in etiquette, if there is a mistake, not only will it violate the etiquette, but it will also involve the crowned person to be ridiculed for life. How much more is it the crown of the Son of Heaven?

Once the general plan was agreed, all parties figured out the rules and arranged them in an orderly manner, and within ten days, everything was done properly and without mistakes, and even the Taimiao who came to help made a group of subordinates amazed.

On the day of the vernal equinox, the morning was exceptionally clear, and the deep blue sky was hung with a round of red and warm sun, which can be described as a beautiful wind and sun. At the first moment, a team of knights and officials escorted a bronze chariot out of the north gate of the palace, cleaned up the long white stone bridge across the moat, entered the south gate of the royal city without hurrying, went north from the central royal street, and finally entered the deepest part of the royal city. ap.

The royal fortress is due north in the center of the entire Daeho Fortress. The north side of the north wall of the royal city is a royal garden of hundreds of acres, and the north side of the garden is the real north wall of the pickaxe. Out of the north gate three miles away, abruptly pull up a wooded highland, this is the world-famous Weishui Beihan.

Taimiao is located at the highest place of the garden at the north end of the royal city, the pine and cypress forests on all sides, evergreen all the year round, the short eaves of the Zhou-style palace stretch out obliquely from the vast green, and from a distance it looks like leaning on the North Han Heights, the heavenly city que that stands majestically. Although there is only one main hall in this temple, it is not as layered as the royal palace, but the overall layout is grand and simple, deep and solemn, and anyone who comes here will naturally have a sense of awe.

As soon as you pass through the palace area of the royal city and enter the cangyuan garden, you will be faced with a forbidden gate made of two red boulders. Inside the door is the forbidden garden of the Taimiao, and no one is allowed to enter without the king's book. Entering the forbidden door 100 steps, the pine and cypress and the turtle dragon and phoenix stone carvings as high as three zhang stand between a ten-zhang wide loess avenue, and at the end of a six-zhang high Lantian jade workshop, in the middle is inlaid with two big copper characters of "Taimiao".

Entering the stone workshop, passing through the courtyard of the three steps, it is the main hall of the Taimiao that stands majestically on the top of the 36 steps.

When the carriages and horses entered the loess avenue that had been sprinkled with water and dust, a crown belt in the distance had stood under the stone square. The leader is Zhao Gong Bohu, as the first assistant of the Great Zhou, he has indisputably become the guest of honor of today's Son of Heaven. Behind him were Zhou Gongding, Rui Liangfu, Yu Zhong and other courtiers, and then there were the princes of the Quartet who came to Hojing to watch the ceremony.

Ji Hu glanced meaningfully at the Eshi Zikun in the group of princes, and then helped Rong Yi's arm to get out of the car.

The group walked up to the high platform in front of the main hall of the Taimiao, Ji Hu knelt on the prepared red felt carpet, and the ministers looked up, waiting for the beginning of the most important "three plus" ceremony of the coronation ceremony.

The Son of Heaven is the one who receives the crown, and the person who bestows the crown is the Taimiao Ling, who is gray-haired and familiar with ancient rites.

The first time the cloth crown was added, the Taimiao Ling held the crown in his right hand, held the crown in front of his left hand, held the cloth crown with both hands and recited: "On the auspicious day of the month, the first plus yuan is served!" Abandon your young ambitions, and become virtuous! Shou Kao Weiqi, Jieer Jingfu!"

The second time the leather crown was added, and after Ji Hu took off the cloth crown and combed his hair again, Taimiao Ling held the leather crown with the same action and recited: "Jiyue Lingchen, Nashen Erfu!" Respectfully, Graceful! Ten thousand years of longevity, forever blessed by Hu!"
