Chapter 25: The Dream (Part II)
Waking up from her meditation, Sophia was pleasantly surprised to find that her magic had increased a lot. It seems that it is not all bad things here, at least it helps the cultivation of magic.
Opening her eyes, Sophia was about to get up and move on, but was stunned by what she saw.
Everything has changed, and she seems to have a warm feeling, like bathing in the spring sun, and her whole body is indescribably comfortable.
And a kilometer ahead of her, a magnificent complex of buildings appeared.
Am I dreaming? Sophia wasn't sure. Since she came into this world, she has no way to explain all the phenomena. Obviously, she couldn't see the road in front of her before she cultivated, but how could she completely change after she finished cultivating? Not only could she see things in front of her, but also buildings appeared. Most importantly, this complex is colored, with high walls of various colors, multicolored glazed tiles, white windows, and golden columns. There is even a small river that encloses the entire complex, with a quaint little stone bridge spanning both sides of the river.
It took a long time for Sophia's consciousness to return to normal. She was delighted to think that these buildings must have been built by the Demon God, right? I can finally meet the Great Demon God!
Taking a few steps forward, Sophia slammed to her feet. Looking down at his feet, his shadow came back, and the color of the ground also changed, from light black to gray, maybe the color of the ground has not changed, but now I can see the color, so I feel that the color has changed, right? Squatting down and touching it carefully with my hand for a while, the texture of the ground has not changed, or the feeling is the same as before.
Sophia couldn't help but glance behind her, but she still couldn't see anything. However, this time and the previous "invisible" are two different things, because behind her, there is endless darkness, and naturally nothing can be seen. The bright, warm light didn't seem to penetrate the darkness, blocking it in front of her body. With her body as the dividing line, it is divided into two very different worlds.
Without further hesitation, Sophia walked briskly towards the small stone bridge.
Standing on the small stone bridge and looking at the crystal clear water, Sophia's mood is much better, not as frightened, so hesitant, and helpless as when she entered this world. The creek is not very deep, and you can see the bottom at a glance. Under the surface of the water, you can clearly see a layer of white pebbles, and schools of colorful unknown small fish swim happily among the turquoise water and grass.
The small stone bridge is made of long blue stone blocks, and the balustrades on each side have twelve columns, and each pair of pillars is topped with a stone statue of an animal, from front to back are rats, oxen, tigers, rabbits, dragons, snakes, horses, sheep, monkeys, chickens, dogs, and pigs. These twelve pairs of stone statues are carved in different forms and are lifelike.
In the very center of the bridge deck, there is an engraved pattern that Sophia has never seen before. The pattern is circular as a whole, about one meter in diameter, and a curve in the middle divides it into two halves of the same shape and equal size, like two fish with round heads and thin tails, intersecting and tightly connected. Half of it is white and the other half is black. There is a black circle on the white head and a white circle on the black head, and the two circles are the same size, both about five centimeters, and the positions correspond to each other.
Around this circular pattern, there are eight groups of straight lines, each of three, of equal length, but these lines are not exactly the same, and some of them are broken in two from the middle. There is also a character engraved on the top of each group of straight lines, which are: Zhen, Xun, Li, Kun, Dui, Qian, Kan, and Gen.
Looking at this strange pattern and the words engraved on it, Sophia was at a loss. She knew each of these eight words, but she really couldn't say what kind of meaning they meant when they were put together. After studying it many times, Sophia decided to give up. Maybe after meeting the demon god, you can know the answer, right?
Walking from the small stone bridge to the other side, you came to the front of this complex. The closer you get, the more you can feel the majesty of these buildings. The tallest one of them is probably more than 200 meters long, tens of meters wide, and hundreds of meters high, right? Sophia stood in front of it, feeling more and more insignificant. But what made her uneasy was that she was already so close, and there should be an envoy from His Majesty the Demon God to meet her, right?
Although there are so many houses here, the silence is terrible, you can't hear a sound, you can't see a person, and there are no demon gods recorded in the demon classics. Isn't this the world of the Demon God? or is the original owner of this place gone?
The area of this complex is very large, with high-rise buildings one after the other, stretching far away. There were so many houses that Sophia really didn't know which one she should enter first! After thinking about it for a long time, she decided to start with a small building that was not very tall opposite.
It's called a small building, but it's also compared to those tall buildings. The building has a white façade, a gray roof, and neat rows of windows. Sophia roughly counted the windows on the wall, there should be seven floors, more than one hundred and forty rooms. In the whole building, only a set of striking numbers "57" are written in red paint on the exterior walls on each side of the building, and there are no other markings.
The door was unlocked, and Sophia pushed it open. The layout inside is simple, with a stairwell at the entrance and a staircase leading upstairs. On the left and right sides of the stairwell, there is also a small door, which is supposed to lead to the various rooms on the first floor.
Pushing open the door on the right, Sophia stepped inside. Behind the door is a walkway, along which you can see doors of the same size lined up. Numbers are written on each door: "102", "104", "106"...... Lined up until "122". That is, there are a total of eleven rooms on the right side of the first floor.
Sophia's symbolic name knocked on the door of room 122 a few times, and as she expected, no one inside responded.
Gently pushing the door open, Sophia cautiously walked inside. The room is not big, only more than 20 square meters. The first thing you see is two desks on the wall, with some pieces of paper and stationery cluttered together. Then I saw two single beds lying horizontally against the wall on the other side, the beds were already empty, and there was not a single sheet or bedding or anything like that, only the bare bed boards. Next to the bed were two one-man tall wooden cabinets, the wooden doors of which were broken, and one of them even fell to the floor. On the side of the entrance, there was a small room, the door was hidden and not closed.
Sophia first looked through the two wooden cabinets and found nothing of value, then picked up the pieces of paper on the table and examined them one by one. There were many words written on the scraps of paper that she couldn't understand, as well as some calculations and diagrams.
Sophia felt as if she was reading a book from heaven, although she could still recognize some of the words, but she didn't know what they were talking about, and she didn't know what the calculations and simple diagrams were.
Sophia wanted to put these pieces of paper into her spatial ring, and save them for later study if she could. But no matter how much she tried to pull the magic, the ring didn't react at all. The connection between the magic and the ring has not been blocked, and it has even increased a lot compared to when I first entered this world, why can't I even use the ring?
After a few more attempts, Sophia had no choice but to give up. There should be a lot of mysteries waiting to be solved here, maybe this is telling herself not to waste your energy on these unimportant things, right? However, these pieces of paper really don't look like important documents, and they are scattered on the table, maybe they are just something that someone wrote down casually. If you treat all these things as treasures, I'm afraid I won't be able to fill all ten rings.
It's just that not being able to use the space ring still makes Sophia's heart uneasy, and after trying the magic and using it normally, her heart is a little more settled.
She had also gone in and looked at the other small room, which was supposed to be a bathroom. Although she had never seen many of the installations, she could still guess its purpose from a few towels, a mirror, and a few bottles and cans. The bottles had words like "bath", "cleanse", and "shampoo" written on them, and Sophia could still understand them.
It didn't take long for Sophia to finish looking at the small building with the number "57" written on the exterior wall. Here, she found no items recorded in the Demon Clan's books, nor did she find an object that could tell her who had lived here. Each room is much the same, with the same layout, but the things placed in them are more or less different.
After coming out of the "57" floor, Sophia was even more confused. In the books of the demon gods, she had never seen such a place recorded. If this place wasn't built by a demon god, then who would it be? I've never heard of a legend about this place on Earth, what does that mean? And how did I get here? Now that she no longer thinks she has entered the demon god realm, she wants to know where this is, and how she can get out of here?
If you want to build such a complex, it is not something that ordinary people can do. Sophia thinks that the orcs, humans, and demons don't have this ability, so who could it be?
By all indications, it was built by a class of intelligent beings who were even more advanced than them. It's just that for unknown reasons, they left here, leaving only these magnificent buildings.
Was this place built on Earth, what was the purpose of building this place, why did they leave here, why did I come here, and how did I get there? These questions plague Sophia.
Looking up at the tallest building, Sophia said to herself, "Whoever made it here, I'll be able to leave." From now on, I'm going to go through this place and finally unlock this secret!" (To be continued.) )
