Chapter 18: Impact Craters
Drew didn't care about this scene, he just wanted to find Leia as soon as possible. He looked around, searching for Leia's traces.
Fortunately, the special combat uniform has a waterproof and life-saving function, and after a while, Drew saw Leia floating motionless on the water not far away.
He hurriedly rowed the half of the raft to Leia's side and dragged her up. Drew examined Leia's injuries and found that she had only passed out in a coma and had not been severely injured, so he was relieved. He removed the healing device to heal her wounds and put her to sleep. Drew paddled to the other side alone.
After a few more hours, the two finally reached the other side of the river. Leia hadn't woken up yet, so Drew had to carry her to rest in the woods near the river.
Both of them were still damp and damp, so he built a bonfire, taking off his and Leia's special combat uniforms to dry, and warming himself around the fire.
Drew recalled the thrilling scene just now, and still had lingering palpitations, not knowing what difficult conditions he would encounter in the future. Because his body was really tired, thinking about it, he fell asleep in a daze...
As the night passed, when Drew opened his eyes, he saw Leia awake and sitting beside him.
Leia saw Drew wake up, looked at him with a smile and said, "Yesterday's incident... Thank you for saving me! ”
Drew quipped, "How do you know, aren't you all unconscious?" ”
Leia smiled slightly, "If it weren't for you, would I still be safe and sound now?" ”
The two of them each checked their physical condition, and after confirming that there was no major problem, they decided to hurry up and continue on the road.
They packed up their clothes and gear and went into the forest. After walking for a while, they found that they had gradually entered the range affected by the crash of the alien spacecraft. The further we went, the more the damage on the huge trunks became more and more visible, and more and more stumps of trees and the corpses of various creatures appeared on the ground, and the grass fell in patches.
For days on end, Leia and Drew witnessed these catastrophic sights, unable to sleep peacefully at night.
Finally, at noon one day, they approached the site of the crash of the alien spacecraft, and the two came to the edge of a circular impact crater with a radius of several tens of kilometers.
This is an annular impact crater formed due to the shock wave generated by the ship's enormous impact force. The two stood at the edge of the crater and looked out at the crater, only to see that the crash of the alien spacecraft was located in the center of the crater. Although the ship is a shattered wreckage, it is still reminiscent of the original appearance of an alien ship: a Trident starship with a total length of several kilometers.
Leia and Drew cautiously descended to the inside of the crater, heading towards the central point of impact. They saw the ship debris scattered all over the crater, and Leia leaned down to pick up a piece of ship debris and examined it carefully.
She discovered that the hardness and toughness of the materials used to make the alien spacecraft were much higher than those used in human spacecraft. She raised her weapon and fired at the material, unable to penetrate it for a moment and unharmed.
Leia couldn't help but sigh in her heart: "The spaceship made of such a powerful material shows that its owner has a Wenyin far beyond the current human race. But she remembered that such an advanced spaceship was easily destroyed by a single blow of white light, so what was the power to destroy this spaceship?
She believes that this is by no means a natural phenomenon, but a war between two Wenyin. If another Wenyin could destroy this already advanced giant ship so easily, then how powerful should this other Wenyin be. Thinking of this, a chill swelled in Leia's heart. She didn't tell Drew what she was thinking, because there was a hint of worry on his face. Telling him this now won't help, it will only add to his troubles.
Drew suddenly shouted, "Look, what's that?" ”。
Leia followed the sound and saw several carbonized lumps on the ground not far away. They looked closer, and it looked like the skeletal remains of some kind of creature. "Are these the wreckage of the crew of an alien spaceship?" Leia muttered to herself.
Before leaving, she tucked several smaller pieces of bone into her carry-on storage bag.
