Only in this way can we find a way to cut it off and enter a state of desireless and colorless emptiness, as if we were born without life and as if we were dead without death.

Only in this state can we understand what is called the end of the seventh consciousness.

Translated from Sanskrit, Mana means "mind", which seems to be the same as the consciousness of the sixth consciousness, but in fact the sixth consciousness is the conscious mind, which is the instinctive desire of the body through the perception of the outside world.

And the consciousness at the end of the seventh consciousness should be called the root of consciousness, which is different from the consciousness of the sixth consciousness.

The root of consciousness focuses on the perception of "me", which is the thought of a person after giving up all desires and hues, also known as obsession, which always corresponds to the four afflictions of self-ignorance, self-seeing, self-slowness, and self-love, and is the source of delusion for sentient beings.

At this point, the Buddha and the demon are just a thought, and if you are attached to me, you will go to the devil's path, and if you let go of your obsession, you can cultivate the Buddha freely.

After realizing the end of that consciousness, and then cutting off the delusional attachments, everything is empty, colorless, and unclean, and then you can see the eighth consciousness, the alayya.

Alayya consciousness is the root of all consciousness, which is similar to the Daomen's slashing of consciousness and seeing the primordial gods, or it is the same kind of existence.

Whether it is the alaya consciousness or the primordial spirit, they all come first and then go to be the master, and the first to come here refers to before the birth of the child, and the last to go refers to after the death, so that everything is empty.
