Morning glory is blooming!
Remember my Barrel Lid Dynasty?
I spread some dirt on the lid of the discarded toilet outside the rooftop and sprinkled some morning glory seeds. After about a week, five seedlings appeared.
However, the first two seedlings to grow were unexpectedly unexpected, and their leaves were eaten by unknown creatures at night!
Think about it, the tender little leaves, the green swagger, no wonder will cause other creatures to covet!
There is one tree where two small leaves are eaten, and there is one tree, which is directly eaten up by both small leaves! Only a green bare rod was left, which led me to think that it was a new little bud, and after studying for a long time, I realized that the leaves of the original morning glory had been eaten!
So these two seedlings that were attacked were very tragic. Undoubtedly the two weakest petunias in the pot. But they have not given up and have been growing tenaciously! It's just short, small, and very pitiful.
Morning glory grows fast. The other three seedlings passed through the weakest period uneventful, and soon the leaves were the size of a child's palm, and they grew taller, and the leaves were green and thriving, and the vines began to grow in about two or three weeks. I gave them a dangling scrap cable so they could climb up the triangular ladder next to it. It quickly climbed up. Every day you can see it climbing new heights.
Later, Mengying said that the toilet seat was too thin and the soil layer was too small, so I was afraid that it would be nutrient deficient.
When I went to the sink on the second floor to wash my things, I found a foam box that had been left in the trash by a colleague.
God help me.
I immediately picked up the box, filled a box with the most nutritious moss soil under the air conditioner, and transplanted the morning glory on the lid of the tank in its entirety!
Why a whole transplant? Because the lid of the tank is so shallow, a thin layer of soil, the strong root system of the morning glory has connected them together, so it directly grew into the shape of the tank cover, and I moved the long clod of soil into the new foam box completely, without hurting the roots of the largest trees!
By the way, the two young seedlings that suffered misfortune at a young age and are still very weak are replanted, and stay away from the three big seedlings, so that they can also enjoy the sun by themselves and grow slowly, so that they will not be blocked by the three tall and dense seedlings!
I also poked three small holes in the bottom of the foam pot with a twig to make it easier to seep water. This way, there will be no problems such as rotten roots at the bottom of the soil due to overwatering or rain!
When I moved, I was still thinking in my heart, people moved to death, trees moved to life, and the soil was so fertile, there must be no problem with these flowers.
Later, when I told my colleague, my colleague laughed and said, "You remember wrong, it was the tree that died, and the person who lived."
Is that so? How do I think it's just the movement of the tree?
It turns out that this new pot is really good. The three large trees were not affected at all, and their growth is getting better and better.
The two seedlings were uprooted and replanted, and the leaves turned yellow, and they looked like they were still recuperating. The leaves aren't very fresh green either, but they're not dead either, so give them a little time and they'll be sure to grow well!
The company has been talking about moving Anning for two or three years. But it's probably been going on lately.
Before leaving work last Friday, I made a large pot of water from a kettle to water the flowers. Because it's going to be a day off, and the weather is dry, it's better to water it a little more.
When I was squatting and watering, I was thinking, we are about to move peacefully, but such a large flower pot must be inconvenient to move. Alas, it's a shame that if we had moved before May Day, I might not have been able to see the morning glory I planted with my own eyes bloom.
I can imagine the morning glory growing on the rooftop after we moved away. There is so much soil, it must grow very well, and the roof is open, so as long as it rains, it can grow very luxuriantly, just like when I pick their seeds, their parents also grow on the side of the road, climbing on the iron railing next to the road of the postal company, no one takes care of it, but under the care of God, it is still very lively, and it spirals and grows on the railing, and after a season of flourishing flowers, it leaves countless small lantern-like fruits, and when it is dry, gently touch it with your hand, The little lantern cracked into many petals, and then many black ugly seeds fell from the palm of his hand.
Well, its seeds are called black ugly, and it is a traditional Chinese medicine. It can be water-driven to drive swelling, anti-inflammatory and deworming. I get a stomachache when I eat it.
I thought with a little regret that I poured all the water out of their basins until I saw water seeping out of the little hole I had made near the bottom.
Then when I came to work this morning, I went to the rooftop to see the morning glory that had climbed a lot higher, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that it had buds!
It is also the kind of spiral-shaped swirling bud, the tip of the bud is a bit like a small snail, the whole bud is long, and it already has the rudimentary shape of a small trumpet. It is a small trumpet with purple in the green color. Looks like it's going to bloom soon!
Just when I turned around and went back to take a picture with my mobile phone, I was pleasantly surprised to find that there was a larger flower bud hidden under the leaves, snow-white trumpet roots, the corolla of the trumpet mouth is pink and purple, and the petals are nested.
It is truly full of joy beyond words.
I don't remember which master said, you just do it, it's like sprinkling a seed in the soil, as long as it's not a seed that has been scalded with boiling water, nature will always give you back, as long as you sprinkle a seed, it will always grow. Maybe one, maybe several. So you can wait for the desired harvest.
Maybe you're waiting for a fruit full of branches.
And what I am waiting for my morning glory is among the vines that climb the ladder, and the trumpet flowers that bloom in summer. It may not grow into a flower waterfall, but it also has its own unique scenery.
