13. Flickering
The sound of scurrying footsteps sounded in the prison at the bottom of the cabin, and Norrington heard the sound, and his eyes involuntarily followed the direction from which the sound came.
He saw Lord Beckett slowly walk in, which made Norrington frown.
He stood up and walked to the prison door, glaring at Lord Beckett.
The reason why he has fallen to this point now is certainly related to Luo Wei, but this bastard in front of him is also one of the culprits.
Lord Beckett was not frightened by Norrington's fierce eyes, and looked at Norrington with interest and asked, "Do you want to leave here?"
Norrington looked at the other party suspiciously, "Would you be so kind?"
Lord Beckett said, "If you do one thing for me, I will not only reinstate you, but even make you a true rear admiral."
Norrington snorted coldly, he didn't trust Lord Beckett very much.
The admirals in the navy did not say bad things about this bastard in front of him.
And as it turns out, this guy is really not a good thing.
Lord Beckett was unimpressed by Norrington's attitude, because he knew that Norrington now had no one to rely on but himself, and he was sure of the other party.
He continued, "I've been sure that the news you brought back is true, but there has been a small trouble because of it."
Norrington's face was puzzled.
Lord Beckett said, "There is a fear of war in the navy at the moment, no one wants to risk their lives to fight the wizards, and more importantly, the wizards have not yet found the Trident."
"Even if we win this battle, it won't do us any good."
Norrington said, "But if the wizard gets the Trident, there is a good chance that our fleet will be wiped out by the Trident."
Lord Beckett bowed slightly, "What you said is not bad at all, so at this time, we need a foreign helper to fight the wizards, and we can just when the two sides are exhausted from fighting, we can wipe them out."
Norrington scoffed, he wondered if Lord Beckett's head was broken, and he actually came up with such a idea.
"Where in the world do you think there is such a foolish foreign aid that will help you deal with a wizard."
"Absolutely." Lord Beckett smiled and said, "If the legend of the Trident is true, then another legend is also true."
"What?"
"Davy Jones." Lord Beckett uttered a name.
Norrington was also a commodore before he was imprisoned, and he knew too well what the name David Jones meant.
"Hades of the Sea."
"Yes, it's the Hades of the Seas, the Flying Dutchman." Lord Beckett said, "This is also a cursed ship, the legend says that the Trident can lift all curses on the sea, and I am sure that Davy Jones will be interested in this Trident, are you right?"
Norrington reacted, and with thoughtfulness, he realized that Lord Beckett's plan was really possible.
….
David Jones was the Hades of the Seas, driving the flying Dutchman out of nowhere, and legend has it that all the people who saw the ship died.
Who is stronger and who is weak between him and the mysterious wizard will have to be known after fighting.
If two people can really fight and lose both, then their navy can indeed take the opportunity to wipe out both sides.
Thinking of this, Norrington couldn't help but glance at Lord Beckett with fear.
This guy is really insidious and vicious.
Norrington said, "Your plan is good, so how are you going to approach Davy Jones?"
Lord Beckett smiled and pointed at Norrington, "The person who came into contact with him is not me, but you."
Norrington: ......
He knew Lord Beckett this
The guy didn't have a good heart, he told himself so much, and he was waiting for himself at this juncture.
Norrington wanted to refuse, but he hadn't lost his mind and gone mad enough to find a sea Hades.
However, Lord Beckett saw through Norrington's thoughts, and said with a smile: "Don't refuse yet, think about it carefully, two warships sank, and someone must be responsible for this matter."
"That rear admiral has his own family and forces behind him, and he can completely escape the catastrophe."
"But the strength behind you is far inferior to the other party, so you can't escape this responsibility."
"However, if you find Davy Jones, you will make amends and convince David Jones to fight the wizard and lay a solid foundation for our victory, and when the victory is over, I will personally do it to the king for you."
"When the time comes, instead of being punished, you will break the bonds in one fell swoop and become the youngest rear admiral in history."
Norrington couldn't help but fall silent.
He confessed that he was moved by Lord Beckett's words, and that this fellow was indeed a clever female fraudster.
No wonder His Majesty has a home for his grace.
Five minutes passed quickly.
Lord Beckett was a little impatient when he saw that Norrington did not say anything, but there was no change between his eyebrows, and he was still breezy and calm, as if everything was under control.
He said, "Since you can't make a decision right now, think about it."
After saying that, he slowly turned around and walked towards the door, saying as he went, "Do you intend to stay here and become a lamb of sin, or do you intend to fight hard and become a master, I look forward to your decision, Brigadier General Norrington."
"Wait."
Just as Lord Beckett was about to leave the prison, Norrington finally stopped and called out to Lord Beckett.
Lord Beckett stopped and glanced back at him, "So ......
"I agree." Norrington agreed, maybe this was his last chance.
"Very good, wise choice."
Lord Beckett smiled and said.
The next day, Norrington was released, and Lord Beckett gave him a small warship to leave with a portion of the navy.
When several admirals heard about this, Qiqi approached Lord Beckett and asked what had happened.
Lord Beckett said with a straight face, "I have nothing to say about the specific reason for this matter, but I can only tell you that Brigadier General Norrington is on a secret mission."
The generals were not very satisfied, what kind of secret mission to hide from them.
Lord Beckett smiled at this and said, "I am the one appointed by His Majesty, the main person in charge of this mission, do I still have to report my every move to you?"
After saying that, he flicked his sleeves, turned around and left.
Several admirals couldn't help but look at each other, and for a while they didn't know how to refute.
The last feather
