The Xidong Bridge spans the East Creek in Sixi Town, hence the name.

Xidong Bridge and Beijian Bridge are very close to each other, because the terrain is a little higher, it is called "Shangqiao" by the locals, and its sister bridge, Beijian Bridge, naturally becomes "Xiaqiao".

But the "lower bridge" is also the master bridge of the "upper bridge", because one of the construction of the Xidong Bridge was completed by the apprentice of the master Mo who built the Beijian Bridge.

The cut is still messy, and the bonds of life and life are endless.

Xidong Bridge is the most beautiful body and the most stretched shape among the existing covered bridges.

The eaves on the top of the bridge are like centipede spirits dancing.

On both sides of the bridge, there are spine beasts, which are in the shape of a wooden dragon, and the dragon's back is arched, which has the potential of swallowing clouds and spitting fog.

The bridge was built in the fourth year of the Ming Dynasty.

In the 10th year of Qianlong and the 7th year of Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty, two reconstructions were carried out.

Xidong Bridge has no piers, and is made of thick wood to form a figure-eight outrigger wooden arch.

There are 15 porch houses built on the arch of the bridge, and several of them are raised into pavilions.

The eaves wing angles are picked, and the roof ridge is surrounded by a green dragon, which has very obvious characteristics of northern palace-style architecture.

The annexes of the bridgehead Chen Daweng Palace and the Chen Lady Palace are well preserved.

Unlike the general "national key protected cultural relics", the covered bridges in Taishun are not separated from people's daily life because they are cultural relics.

With a history of more than 450 years, Xidong Bridge is still a living place for villagers to come and go, stopping to enjoy the coolness.

Accustomed to looking at cultural relics through glass in museums, or staying far away from the safety guard distance of the reserve, watching the majesty of nature and the whimsy of the ancients.

This feeling of stepping directly into history is very special.

What's even more special than this feeling is that if you're in a hurry and don't pay attention to it, you will think, what a cultural relic, this is just a few steps in life.
