Chapter 11: Defense Against the Dark Arts Lesson

September 2, 1991 was a Monday.

Today, Dracula also had his first lesson as a Defence Against the Dark Arts professor at Hogwarts.

Nine o'clock in the morning was the start of the first class at Hogwarts, and the bells in the tower rang through the campus on time under the influence of magic.

Dracula also pushed open the side door of the office at the moment of the bell and walked down the marble steps in front of the right front of the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom.

A small percentage of the students under the podium wore red-collared school robes, and more than half wore yellow-collared school robes, and it was obvious that they were the young wizards of Gryffindor and Hufflepuff houses.

At this point, they sat neatly in their seats, staring at the new Defence Against the Dark Arts professor.

Whether it is the young wizards of the Lion Academy or the Badger Academy, they all secretly speculate in their hearts whether this professor, who is extremely outstanding in appearance and temperament, will have extraordinary teaching abilities like appearance, or will he be as bad as the previous professors?

"Good morning, everyone." Dracula simply greeted the students.

He stood still on the podium and glanced up at the young wizards in the audience, where he spotted two acquaintances, the Weasley twins of Gryffindor.

"Good morning, Professor!" The students in the audience said in unison.

Dracula nodded, and continued:

"After yesterday's banquet, I think you already know that I am your new Defence Against the Dark Arts professor. You can call me Professor Dracula. ”

"I hope you can make me happy for the rest of the time...... Ah no, I mean, I hope everybody has a good time. ”

Dracula, who almost said the truth, didn't change his color and immediately switched to the main topic, "Okay, without further ado, let's start the first class of this semester right away." Today we're going to talk about ......"

At this, he glanced at his empty hands and the sleek lectern with only a whip, and paused for a moment.

Dracula discovers that the textbook he has chosen according to his convention, "Dark Arts: A Guide to Self-Defense", and the teaching assistant Quirrell, who has painstakingly written a thick lesson plan, have all fallen on the desk in his office.

In other words, he came empty-handed to teach the students......

Despite the proximity of the Defence Against the Dark Arts professor's office to the classroom, and the fact that Dracula could make the textbook fly through with a snap of his fingers, it would seem that the new professor was too unprofessional.

He didn't allow such a thing to happen in his first class!

So Dracula smiled indifferently and changed his words: "...... The content is, a spell casting ability test! ”

Looking at the blank faces of the little wizards, he showed a malicious smile.

"All of you, use your best spell on me in turn." Dracula said, "You're already in your third year, so let me see what you've learned in your two years at Hogwarts!" ”

Without waiting for the students to react, he walked straight down the podium to a young wizard sitting in the first row.

"Let's start with you, little Hufflepuff gentleman." He said to the little wizard with a yellow collar.

Looking at the young man in front of him whose face was still a little immature, but he already looked very handsome, Dracula's eyes showed a hint of appreciation, and he felt that he had a bit of the temperament of a vampire nobleman.

"Professor Dracula, that's not appropriate, is it?" The Hufflepuff teenager hesitated.

"There's no need to cringe in class." Dracula curled the corners of his mouth and asked defiantly, "How do you become a great wizard if you don't even have the courage to attack the professor?" ”

Hearing this, the boy nodded heavily, "I understand, Professor. ”

He gritted his teeth and raised his wand to Draculaβ€”

"Stupefy!"

With a smile on his lips, Dracula raised his hand slightly, and took the stun spell in his palm.

If you look closely, you can see that when the spell hits Dracula's palm, it is like flowing water colliding with a rock, and the magic attached to it cuts through the skin, and then flows, and finally dissipates into the air without causing the slightest damage to him.

The little wizards in the classroom all opened their mouths wide and watched this scene in disbelief.

"Spell casting is pretty good at your age." Not caring about the shock of the little wizards, Dracula nodded in satisfaction and asked, "What's your name?" ”

"Diggory, Professor. My name is Cedric Diggory. The Hufflepuff teenager said.

"Good, good Stun Charm, Mr. Diggory." Dracula approvingly, "Let me think about what rewards a professor should give to his students...... That's right, Hufflepuff plus five points! ”

Dracula was pleased with Cedric's spell cast.

The fact that the first student tested had such a level of spellcasting gave him some recognition of the quality of teaching at Hogwarts, at least not living up to the high hopes of his four best friends a thousand years ago.

Next, Dracula begins to test the other students' spell-casting abilities with antiquity, wanting to see what surprises they can bring him.

However, the students did bring a lot of "surprises".

The more he tested, the darker his face became.

It wasn't until he tested a Hufflepuff student who couldn't use any spells that Dracula finally couldn't take it anymore.

"What did you do during your two years at Hogwarts? Well? Did you learn to eat?! He said coldly. The cloak behind him was windless, and the entire Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom was filled with a terrifying atmosphere.

The little wizards were so frightened that they froze in place, not daring to move, and even some of them were scared into tears.

"Forget it, I'm too lazy to waste time like this anymore." Dracula impatiently pointed to all the young wizards in the audience, "All of you, cast your best spells on me!" ”

"There is no homework for the five people with the most power of the spell, and the five people with the least power of the spell have doubled the amount of work, and they come to my office at night and are confined!"

Hearing Dracula's words, Cedric stood up in shock.

"Professor, don't be impulsive! Defence Against the Dark Arts professors are prone to accidents! ”

"I'm not impulsive, I'm just too lazy to delay time." Dracula said indifferently, "The power of your spells is not even gua sha to me. ”

For a moment, the little wizards were stunned by his conceited words.

Only Fred and George, who were sitting together, winked at each other.

The twins are going to be so happy, is it so exciting this year? Is the Defence Against the Dark Arts professor going to be sent away in his first class?

Doesn't that mean they earned twenty gold gallons for nothing?!
