Chapter Eighty-Nine: I Have a Dream
"So you got Tesla's vacation so easily?"
In the gloomy reception hall of Dracula's Castle, Serena asked dissatisfied, reclining on a tall Gothic chair.
"yes, don't you think his story is very moving?" Dracula casually sat down at the long table in the center of the hall and glanced at Selena on the goth chair, "Besides, I remember that this chair seems to be mine, right, how did you take it over?"
"Who told you to be the shopkeeper?" Serena rolled her eyes, "If you promise to come back and manage the castle, then I'll give you back your chair at once."
"Forget it, the chair is for you." Dracula decisively abandoned his chair and shook his head in refusal, "Actually, it's quite comfortable to sit on the table."
"Of course, I prefer to sit on the windowsill and have a better view than a table."
He looked at the empty long table and felt that something was missing from his back.
Dracula's figure disappeared from the table in an instant, and the next moment, he appeared on the tall windowsill on the side of the conference hall.
He sat on a spacious windowsill, his back against the glass dark enough to block out the sun, and a glass of red wine in his hand, shaking it gently.
"What happened to the wizard who erased the memories of Tesla's wizard friend and turned into a fool?" Serena turned her head to look at Dracula by the window, and asked helplessly, "His experience on the banks of the Danube sounds quite pitiful."
"Well, but that's the punishment he deserves."
"I didn't do anything about Lockhart." Dracula shook his head, "I thought about it, and gave him to Dumbledore. As for troublesome things like exposing his crimes, leave it to a professional like Dumbledore."
"Whether he will spend the rest of his life in Azkaban or St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Injuries and Illnesses has nothing to do with me."
Just then, there was a knock on the door of the reception hall.
"Come in."
Serena immediately adjusted her reclining position in her chair to a solemn posture of sitting upright, and at the same time glared back at Dracula, hoping that he would show some image of a vampire leader.
However, given that Serena still looks a little immature even after more than a hundred years. Her so-called solemn posture is at most serious, without the slightest sense of majesty.
As for Dracula, he has managed Dracula's castle for hundreds of years, and he does not need to rely on his usual majestic image to bring awe to his subordinates.
The reason why he is respected by all vampires is because of his real strength and his ability to take in a group of vampires.
Therefore, Dracula did not learn to sit upright like Serena at all, but changed to a more comfortable position, and his whole body collapsed on the windowsill, lazily sipping wine.
Outside the door of the conference hall, two high-ranking vampires walked in.
They sternly stretched out their hands, and together they pressed a tall, ragged man against him, and pushed him to Serena's gothic seat.
….
"Werewolves?" Dracula glanced at the man, and saw the dense scratches on his clothes and the slightly surprised hairs on his face, and immediately became interested.
This is a middle-aged man with a pale face and an angular face.
He had light brown hair mixed with a lot of gray hair, which made him look a little old. His clothes were worn and patched. It can be seen that this werewolf does not belong to the upper echelons of werewolves like Fenrir, and lives in a very poor situation.
"You read that right, Master Dracula!" One of the high-ranking vampires stepped forward, knelt down on one knee in front of the long table, and respectfully said to Serena and Dracula, "While we were patrolling underneath Dracula's castle, we spotted this werewolf sneaking into our castle and arrested him."
"But strangely, he didn't resist our capture, instead telling us that he was a member of the Order of the Phoenix.
I want to meet you."
"Order of the Phoenix?" Dracula raised an eyebrow and looked at the not-so-striking werewolf, "Are you talking about Dumbledore's Order of the Phoenix?" The society he formed to fight Voldemort?"
"It's the Order of the Phoenix, Count Dracula." The pale werewolf nodded, "My name is Remus Lupin. Two months ago, Dumbledore noticed something unusual about Fenrir Greyback, so he asked me to infiltrate the werewolf clan led by him to find out the news."
"A few days ago, I learned from Fenrir's direct henchmen that the Yin corpse obtained by Fenrir was summoned by a mysterious person to help Fenrir subdue the werewolf tribe in Romania. In return, Fenrir agreed to the mystery man's request to attack Dracula's castle."
Dracula drank the contents of the goblet, then jumped off the windowsill.
"Well, that's pretty complete, it's a little late." He chuckled and said, "I've learned about this personally from Greyback's memories. Voldemort knew that these corpses would not pose any threat to me, but he just wanted to send cannon fodder to disgust me."
"But he probably doesn't know that these brainless things aren't even trouble."
Lupin looked surprised.
"Don't you know? The wolf king has become our captive, and is now being held in a large dog cage." Dracula raised his hand and gestured to the two high-ranking vampires, "Let him go, he doesn't look like he's here to get in trouble."
"Ahem, ahem, don't move yet!" Serena coughed suddenly, pretending to be serious.
The two high-level vampires froze in place, looking at Serena on the left and Dracula on the right, not knowing who to listen to.
Serena, on the other hand, glared back at Dracula, as if to say that she was now the caretaker of the castle.
Dracula shook his head with a smirk, took a step back, and made a "please" gesture.
Serena nodded in satisfaction.
"Alright, you can let him go!" She said with a serious face.
The corners of the two high-level vampires' mouths twitched, and while complaining inwardly about the orders of the two people, they tried their best to untie Lupin's body one by one.
….
"Okay, you can go out." Serena said, "We'll interrogate this werewolf individually."
When the two high-ranking vampires were gone, Lupin moved his aching shoulders and looked at Dracula.
"Professor Dracula, Dumbledore has a trust I brought to you." He carefully took out a well-preserved envelope from his pocket and said solemnly, "But I must make sure that everyone present is trustworthy!"
"Hey, what do you mean by this werewolf!" Serena was not happy with this, and walked over to snatch the envelope from Lupin's hand.
Lupin, however, drew his wand and looked at Dracula with an inquiring gaze.
"Show her, no problem." Looking at Serena's vicious eyes, Dracula nodded helplessly, "What unsightly content can Dumbledore write that is so tightly protected?"
"Forget it, I'm not uncommon to see it." Serena wrinkled her nose and sat back in the gothic chair, "Maybe there's something wrong between the two of you, and I might feel uncomfortable if I look at it."
Dracula pulled down two black lines on his face and slapped Serena on the head, "At a young age, what are you thinking about all day long?"
"When you wanted me to help you manage the castle, you said that I was over a hundred years old, and I was a big girl who could take charge of herself." Serena held her head aggrievedly and retorted, "Then when it came time to educate me, she started saying that I was 'young,' again. I think you're just bullying me and I can't beat you!"
Dracula holds his forehead with his hands.
He felt that he could not talk about this cheap daughter, so he silently turned his attention to the letter in his hand, as if he had not heard her words.
The envelope has a nice texture and appears to be made of the same parchment paper as the Hogwarts acceptance letter
It reads, "Professor Dracula's personal revelations."
When I opened the envelope, there was a small note inside.
Unlike the good texture of the envelope, the note was sloppy, looking as if it had been torn from a student's cheat sheet.
There were very few words on the note, just one sentence-
"Harry Potter may have become half of Voldemort's Horcrux by coincidence!"
Dracula's eyes widened instantly, and thoughts raced in his heart.
Can a living human be made into a Horcrux, the despicable Helbo didn't dare to do that, did he?
He had to admit that Voldemort was a young man who was indeed quite bold.
If Dumbledore hadn't misjudged, would he have to kill Potter first if he wanted to kill Voldemort?
That doesn't seem like a good fit. After all, Potter is an innocent man, and this kind of unscrupulous behavior will not even be allowed by Serena's vampire code of conduct.
Dracula thought about it for a long time and decided that he didn't want to.
Leave this nerve-wracking thing to Dumbledore, and what he prefers to do is beat Voldemort once he sees him!
[To tell the truth, I've been using @
There's no Dracula Castle that can provide shelter."
In the end, Lupin looked at Dracula in front of him, his eyes showing deep envy.
Dracula gently shook the empty goblet in his hand and fell silent.
"He's right." Serena suddenly spoke, "Despite the definition of being classified as 'human,' we vampires actually have unfair treatment like werewolves. A few decades ago, very few vampires would have survived in a wizarding society."
"It's Dracula's Castle that gives all vampires a place to stay, standardizes the behavior and habits of low-level vampires, and later appears star vampire singers like Lorcan Deyis, which makes the image of vampires in the wizarding community slightly friendlier."
….
"So I think I'm right to take in those low-level vampires, you say...... Father?"
Serena looked at Dracula and said seriously.
Dracula looked at Serena equally deeply, and then chuckled softly, "Well, you're doing the right thing. I didn't think it through before."
In this atmosphere, there seemed to be something brewing in Dracula's eyes.
He turned his gaze to Lupin with a strange expression.
"If you can't find a job...... Dracula smiled weirdly, "Mr. Lupin, do you want to be the next wolf king?"
Lupin's eyes widened in astonishment.
"No, I can't!" He hurriedly refused, "I'm not the one to be the wolf king at all, and I've always been ostracized by the werewolf race......
"Don't be in a hurry to say no." As if he had found something extremely interesting, Dracula unconsciously showed two sharp side teeth, and his eyes glowed with burgundy, "I ask you, Lupin, don't you want to do something for the lonely werewolves like you?"
"Or don't you want to reverse the image of the werewolves in the eyes of ordinary wizards? Don't you want to walk in Diagon Alley openly as a werewolf without being pointed at?"
"The vampires have spent hundreds of years doing this, and they're only halfway there. So I ask you, can you stand up and lead the werewolf clan to take the first step towards not being discriminated against by the wizarding world?!"
……
Lupin leaves Dracula's Castle.
When he left, his clothes were ragged, and his hands were empty, and he did not take a cloud with him.
But a seed was planted in his heart, a seed for the struggle for a werewolf who lived a hard life without being discriminated against by others, which was a dream that Dracula planted in Lupin's heart.
He had a dream.
He dreams of a day when werewolf bitten children in the Hogwarts Tower will be able to sit with the descendants of ordinary wizards and share brotherhood.
He dreamed of a day when the valley would rise and the mountains would fall; The bumpy and tortuous road becomes a smooth road, and the light is revealed, shining on the world!
"You're really good at fooling people." Serena looked at Dracula, who was moistening her throat after pouring herself another glass of bright red wine, and wondered, "And why do I always feel ...... The words you fooled him don't seem like something you can say......
"Of course, these weren't the words I came up with." Dracula took an elegant sip of red wine, "Lee Jordan, well, a student I taught at Hogwarts, a pair of mischievous black roommates. He had turned in such an assignment in the Muggle Studies class at the time."
"At that time, Professor Bubaji was moved to tears, and he put this assignment on display in the professor's lounge. It was only later that another Muggle-born wizard revealed that it was a lecture given by a man named Martin Luther King Jr. thirty years ago."
"Sounds like you're having a good time as a teacher at school, do you?" Serena looked at him with bad intentions, "So you can leave me with all the trivia of Dracula's Castle with peace of mind, right?"
"Ahem......" Dracula had just taken a sip of red wine before being choked by Serena
"Why can this be pulled back by you?"
"Hmph, you're not even allowed to complain if you're even a shopkeeper?" Serena continued sarcastically.
"Okay, okay, as long as you can help me manage Dracula's Castle well, I can complain as much as I want!" Dracula smiled helplessly and shrugged his shoulders.
As he spoke, he placed the goblet casually on the table, propped up a black parasol, and walked out the door.
"Let's go, let's clean up the battlefield again." Dracula said, "Let's see if there's anything good left from last night's battle that hasn't been discovered!"
