Chapter 2: Draw Hell and Worship Master

That day, I drew a big river with a small boat on it and no one on board. There is a huge fish swimming at the bottom of the river. Everyone read it and said they couldn't understand it. Because we don't have such a big river there, and we can't have such a big fish.

But a few days later, my uncle came to my house and said that four or five people had drowned there, and all the flesh had been gnawed by the fish.

My uncle's house is close to the Dawen River, and there are people swimming in it every day in the summer. Where the water is deep, people often drown. But that time, it wasn't drowned by swimming.

According to witnesses on the embankment, it was a small fishing boat with people casting nets to catch fish. As soon as the net went down, it seemed that a big fish had been caught, and four or five people couldn't pull it. The fish was so powerful that it overturned the boat, and all the fishermen fell overboard, and every one of them came up alive.

People who grow up near rivers are water-permeable, and even if they fall into the water, they won't all drown. If it is not a large flood, the Dawen River is usually very mild, and it can even be crossed with good water. But after the five men fell into the water, they didn't even float their bodies.

Later, a search and rescue was immediately organized, and after two days of salvage, only three pairs of miserable white dry bones were fished, and all the skin and flesh were gnawed away by the fish. The other two were even more boneless.

For a while, there were all kinds of people who said anything, and some said that they were entangled by water ghosts and became substitute ghosts. Some people say that there are monsters in the river, and people are eaten by monsters, and even persuade the families of the deceased to go to the "Yuwang Temple" by the river to burn incense, and beg King Yu to suppress the river demon.

The family of the deceased had no owner, so they really went to the Yuwang Temple to burn incense. Yuwang Temple is not known in what era it was built, I used to go when I was a child, and it is very dilapidated. The area is very small, there is only a small main hall, which enshrines the statue of Dayu. There are more than a dozen big cypress trees planted in the temple before and after, and the age of the trees is not less than 1,000 years. Now it has been renovated and the temple has been enlarged, making it a tourist attraction. Interested friends can search for "Ningyang Yuwang Temple" to find out.

I don't know what happened to me, but I became a little famous, and many people from the neighboring villages came to see me paint. But the more others wanted to see it, the more I didn't draw, and even threw away my pen, so much so that many people scolded me for being a liar.

When I was five years old, I was in kindergarten, and my dad bought me a box of crayons. I was so happy that I immediately took it and went to paint. Bright colors look better than pencil drawings, so I draw all the time and hold them in my hands when I sleep.

Early the next morning, when my mother called me to get up for breakfast, she pushed open the door of my room and immediately screamed in fright at what she saw. When Dad heard the scream, he immediately ran over, took a look at the house, and couldn't help but gasp.

The four walls of the room were almost covered with paintings. It's nothing, it's mainly the content of the painting, it's really terrifying. I can't recall the scene at all, but I heard from my parents that I had painted a hellish picture on the wall.

There is a painting of a bottomless crack in the ground, and countless evil spirits crawl out of it. The demons, all with fangs and long nails and covered in blood, ran after the people on the ground. I grabbed it, tore it open and stuffed it in my mouth.

There is a giant snake with nine heads coiled on the mountain, eating people with its mouth wide open. There is also a bright red river with countless tentacles sticking out of it, and the living people are dragged into the river. In some cases, a huge hole appeared in the sky, and many ghosts fell down from the giant hole and ran after the people on the ground. The people of the earth were terrified, and they ran away, and so on.

And I, at this time, my eyes were straight, I didn't realize what was going on around me, I had finished drawing all the crayons in a box, and I was still drawing on the wall with my fingers, my fingers were worn out, and blood was flowing all over the wall, and I didn't know that it hurt.

My mom fainted on the spot, and my dad picked me up while beckoning my grandma to come over and help. As soon as I left the wall, I fainted. The family was busy, and when my father was about to take me to the health room, I heard a high-pitched Buddhist voice outside.

"Amitabha!"

It turned out that the sloppy monk came as promised!

When the family saw the sloppy monk, they were overjoyed, and hurriedly pulled the sloppy monk and ran into the house, pointing to the paintings on the wall to show him.

The sloppy monk glanced at it, frowned, pursed his lips and didn't say a word. He carefully read all the paintings, and then came to me, called the pulse, opened my eyelids and looked at them, and then began to recite the Vajrasattva mantra, and put the lion mark on my forehead, and shouted: "Who! ”

After all this, the sloppy monk said that it was okay, that is, he was tired, and it would be good to take a rest.

What the sloppy monk used just now was a combination of nine-character mantras and mudras. The nine-character mantra is the well-known "Lin, Bing, Fight, Person, Both, Array, Column, Front, Line", also known as the Nine Characters of the Alpha, each word corresponds to a mudra.

This nine-character mantra first came from Ge Hong's "Hug Puzi Inner Chapter • Dengshi" in the Eastern Jin Dynasty: Zhu said, "Those who are fighting in the army are all moving forward in arrays." All nine words, often as a secret blessing, all-encompassing. If you don't have to worry about it, that's what you say. The Nine Societies of Esoteric Buddhism are also called "Spirit, Dart, Unification, Negotiation, Solution, Heart, Split, Qi, Zen", because it spreads widely, the names are different, and they all have the power to communicate with heaven and earth.

The "one" shouted by the sloppy monk has the power to freely control his own body and the body of others, and the spiritual power of all things, which means that he can be contacted.

After the sloppy monk had done all this, I fell asleep. My parents hurriedly invited me to the living room to entertain me, and briefly told the monk about me, and finally did not forget to ask me if the scene I painted on the wall also portrayed something.

The sloppy monk shook his head and said that everything has its own providence, this is a heavenly opportunity, and mortals must not disturb themselves. At this time, don't let others know, just find some paint and apply it carefully.

The sloppy monk can be said to have saved me twice, where did my parents dare not listen to what he said, and they didn't dare to ask again at the moment, and after breakfast, my father bought paint and repainted the walls, so I was relieved.

When I woke up, it was already night, and I saw that there was suddenly an extra monk in the house. Dad didn't say a word, let me kowtow to him, I kowtowed ignorantly, the sloppy monk was very happy, took off a bracelet from his wrist and handed it to me, asking me to wear it on my body at all times and not lose it.

I played with the bracelet, it was a dozen black and shiny small beads mixed with six white irregular beads strung together, the black beads seemed to be wooden, exuding a faint fragrance, but the white beads could not see what material it was, each white bead was engraved with a word, respectively, "Om Mani Horn Mi Ng".

The sloppy monk told me that the beads on this bracelet had taken him five years to collect, and that the black beads were all centuries-old red sandalwood beads, which were easy to find. The white beads are Buddha relics, which are the bones left by the monks after Honghua, but they are very rare. It took a lot of effort to collect it. This string of Buddha beads is close to the body, and all evil does not invade.

In this way, I worshipped the sloppy monk as my teacher. As for where the sloppy monk came from and what his Dharma name was, he never said it, but just taught me to recite mantras word by word. From the one-word mantra of Amitabha Buddha, the mantra of Amitabha Buddha's rebirth, and the mantra of White Tara, all the way to the mantra of breaking hell, the mantra of the seven Buddhas to extinguish sins, the Tripitaka Sutra, the Heart Sutra and so on.

Master taught me the method of chanting and meditating every day and told me that it was spirituality, or "spiritual cultivation." The basic catechesis are: precepts, concentration, and wisdom.

Precepts, by means of an outward renunciation of worldly things, and finally an inner renunciation of desires for them. Certainly, the mind is absolutely at rest. Wisdom, fully enlightened of the truth.

Strange to say, I haven't painted since I started my apprenticeship. And the whole person is no longer the stupid look he used to be, but has become much more agile.

My parents originally wanted Master to live in my house, but Master didn't want to, so I finally cleaned out a house in the family temple in my village, and Master lived in it alone. The family temple in this village is said to have been built after our clan moved over, and it is usually only used when worshipping ancestors on important festivals, and there is no one at ordinary times. Although the house is a little dilapidated, Master lives here, and it is quiet.

Master meditates and recites the scriptures every day, lives on the food sent by Huazhai and my father, and if there is a family in the village who wants to do a happy event, he will invite the master to go and recite the scriptures. Our local customs, funerals are celebrated, and the troupe is invited to sing, blowing, blowing, and beating, which is also lively.

Sometimes, when I am on vacation, Master also takes me there, and of course there are benefits. Master doesn't want money, all he asks for is a little bit of grain and rice. In addition to that, it is to urge me to work hard.

Every day after school, I would have to go to my family temple for a while, and in addition to chanting mantras and meditating, I also had to learn all kinds of complex mudras and martial arts! There are not only nine Buddhist tantric mudras, and "nine" is only an approximate number. In addition to the "Immovable Ming King Seal, Donkey Kong Wheel Seal, Outer Lion Seal, Inner Lion Seal, Outer Binding Seal, Inner Binding Seal, Wisdom Fist Seal, Sun Wheel Seal, and Aquarius Seal", you can also evolve countless exquisite mudras, and the number of Ganges sand is innumerable.

Fortunately, I am usually introverted and withdrawn, but I can continue to learn. After five or six years like this, I have learned some things, and my body has become much stronger.

During this period, Master was not always in the village, and he would disappear several times a year, for three or five months, and at least half a month. As for where he went and what he did, he never said, only told me that it was not the time, and that what he was going to do was something I could not understand at the moment.

During the winter vacation of my third year of junior high school, I was at Master's every day. That morning, as soon as I finished a boxing trip, sweating profusely, and feeling very comfortable, two people walked in outside the family temple, one of whom was a middle-aged man in his fifties, wearing filial piety clothes.

I was idle, so I begged Master to take me with me. The family is quite far away, more than 20 kilometers away. He had a relative from our village, and he found Master because of this relationship.

The filial son had already asked his relatives to hire a tractor, and he took Master and me on the road. The village is called Shanhou Village, built on the mountain, and the name of the mountain is Yunshan, which is about 100 meters high and has lush trees. Later, a cement plant was built, and the mountains were dug low, which is a later story, so let's not mention it for the time being.

When we arrived, the family had already set up a funeral tent, and in the middle of the hall was a coffin of good texture, and on the table was a portrait of a kind old woman, and the filial son and grandson knelt on the ground.

Although cremation has been practiced for many years at that time, many old people are still conservative and have to be buried, and the old woman in front of her thinks the same. The government sometimes intervenes and does the work of the family, but with little success, so it turns a blind eye later.

Master and I knocked on the wooden fish and chanted the sutra to surpass the soul, and we were busy until the afternoon. Seeing that the sky was dark, a dark cloud came from the north, and white snowflakes fell.

The snow was getting heavier and heavier, and it seemed that we couldn't walk, so Xiaozi had to arrange for our master and apprentice to stay. After dinner, I was doing my homework with Master when I heard a scream outside, and someone shouted, "Oh no! Corpse fraud! Run......"
