Chapter 402: Rationality is Accident, Madness is Inevitable
"He was really insane, too."
The True Creator stared at the distant sky stained red by the 'First Fire', and his eyes under the curtain of shadows seemed to have a hint of mockery.
Adam always felt that He was insane, because He inherited the negative personality of the 'Ancient Sun God' and the extreme emotions before death, in Adam's eyes, this is the depraved human nature, and madness is inevitable.
And this is indeed the case, and the whispers heard by the believers of the Aurora Society are the best proof of this.
The true Creator has long been aware of the nature of his madness, but His consciousness has always been awake. So He knew that his madness was only temporary, that the divine and the human were one, and that madness would become a thing of the past.
However, the solitary yin does not grow, and the solitary yang does not give birth.
Since He who is only human is crazy, how can Adam, who is only divine, be an exception?
From birth, Adam was a madman, just like Amun.
They are all purely divine beings, born with only divinity.
And in order to maintain his 'self' and fight against his original will, Amun chose to split himself into countless doppelgangers, which constituted his 'anchor'. This is the only way in the world.
Both Pales. Zoroaster, and the ancestors of the House of Jacob, were all angels in Sequence 1 of the Thief's Path, but none of them would form anchors in a 'maverick' way like Amun.
Not because they don't know the benefits of doing it, but because they know the disadvantages of doing it!
It is true that the use of clones can indeed form an effective and stable anchor point, and you don't have to worry about your anchor point being targeted by the enemy, because as long as the main body is still alive, you can recreate countless clones.
However, while the anchor is secure, it also has another consequence, which makes them unable to distinguish between the virtual and the real.
Theoretically, every angel and god needs to use the anchor of faith to fight against divinity, to find and solidify their humanity one at a time.
And whether it is 'divinity' or 'faith', its essence is a pollution!
If Freud's theory of personality structure is to be used, then 'human nature' is the 'ego', and 'divinity' and 'faith' are both 'superego' – 'divinity' is the 'superego' from the Creator, and 'faith' is derived from the 'superego' of believers in the image of a perfect deity.
If either party is too strong, it will lead to a deviation of 'human nature', and the 'self' will be believed in by the 'superego', and the 'me' will no longer be me.
Therefore, neither 'divinity' nor 'faith' can be in direct contact with 'humanity'. Only when the two superegos oppose each other and cancel each other out can the 'humanity' maintain the 'ego'.
Therefore, for most beings, their 'divinity', 'faith' and 'humanity' exist at the same time, but they are also independent and distinct, and only in this way can the 'ego' be prevented from being polluted by the superego.
But Amun's approach is very different!
For Him, the 'Divinity' is still the superego to be fought against.
However, 'faith' no longer originates from the believer, but from his own doppelganger, that is, from a part of his 'self'. This approach seems like that, because as long as Amon knows himself well enough to make his doppelgangers have the same cognition, he can make the 'self' more firmly maintained than everyone else.
But in fact, Amon's approach is actually a forced blend of the originally distinct 'faith' and 'self' - the function of 'faith' is no longer to oppose divinity, but only to shape the 'self'!
But in this way, the 'divinity' will lose its shackles, and with the passage of time, in the increasingly confused self-perception, it will gradually merge with the 'faith' and 'self', and from then on the two spirits will be completely stitched together and inseparable!
In other words, 'madness' is almost the inevitable end of Amon.
It's the same with Adam, who only slowly goes crazy over time.
And after Adam was replaced by the divinity of the 'ancient sun god' and became the current 'Adam', this madness became more and more obvious.
Adam thought of himself as the embodiment of divinity, a symbol of perfection, and that He, who represented absolute reason, was more fit to be the dominant consciousness than the true Creator, but this was the embodiment of Adam's madness!
Now, Adam's madness has made him not satisfied with the status quo, and has begun to encourage the First Fire to forcibly destroy the barrier set by the Lord of Mystery, trying to return the sealed essentia.
Before the end of the world is approaching, the sealed essentia is released in advance.
It's neither good nor bad, but it's absolutely crazy!
Adam knew that he was unable to reclaim the power of other ways, and he was unable to control the Sea of Chaos, and he did not want to merge with the true Creator so quickly, resulting in the loss of his 'self'. Therefore, the path of 'Adam' has come to an end, and the two-way true God is His limit, and His strength will only stagnate from now on.
Releasing essentia at such times will only be profitable.
Because of all the essentia, only the 'Chaos Sea' has the same source as Adam, and the 'Chaos Sea' is in the hands of the true Creator, if Adam wants to forcibly contain other 'essentia', it is inevitable that it will get out of control.
But unlike Adam, these essentia have a very different meaning for other beings, and once they have the corresponding essentia, they really have the ticket to the old days. As long as you pay enough price, it is not impossible to promote the old days before the end!
But in the final analysis, the release of this essentia is only a wedding dress for others, and what good can this do Adam?
It is true that the 'Lord of Steam' and the 'Primordial Witch' have a chance to ascend to the Old Days once they have acquired essentia, and both are Adam's hardcore allies and will inevitably be on his side, but so what?
Adam couldn't control all the essentia that was released, and while the 'Lord of Steam' and the 'Primordial Witch' could use the 'Knowledge Wilderness' and the 'City of Calamity' to advance to the Old Days, the Goddess of the Night, Mother Earth, and even the Black Emperor also had a chance!
In this way, the best case scenario is also two against three, and Adam is still a disadvantage.
Unless—
"Shadow World?"
The eyes behind the shadow veil flickered slightly, and Adam had collaborated with the serpent from the abyss more than once, and the other party represented the 'abyssal' path. Although the uniqueness of the path of the 'Bounded' adjacent to the 'Abyss' is in the hands of Ember, it is impossible for that great snake to use it to advance to the old days in this life.
But this did not prevent the great serpent from using this to control the essentia, or even devour the essentia.
In this way, the only essentia that remains is the key to light......
The curtain of shadows that was about to expand to the entire Godforsaken Land suddenly froze, and the True Creator stopped what he had done.
He wanted to stop the First Fire, but now it seems unlikely.
The true creator set his eyes on Ulorius, and his eyes were full of meaning.
Of all the twenty-two paths, the Mother and the Moon are the most special, because they do not come directly from the Creator, but from the Fallen Mother Goddess, and the same is true of the Mother Nest, one of the nine essentia, which was once part of the essentia possessed by the Fallen Mother Goddess, but was torn and attracted by the resurrection of the Creator, and then descended into this world.
Of course, since essentia has the ability to complete itself, although the essentia of the 'fallen mother goddess' was once broken, but now it has been mutilated, it is still the true old days, and the separated 'mother nest' can also create an old day, and the two are now on an equal footing.
Therefore, once the 'Mother Earth Goddess' becomes a thing of the past, she even hopes to compete with the fallen Mother Goddess for the power of the 'pillar' symbol.
And for the Fallen Mother Goddess, in order to reclaim the 'pillar' symbol, she must also reintegrate with the Mother Nest, which is why she covets this world.
However, if we put aside the 'Mother Nest' and the corresponding 'Mother' and 'Moon' paths, as well as the corresponding pillar paths of the 'Source Castle' and the 'Chaos Sea', the most special of the remaining six essentia is undoubtedly the 'Key to Light'.
All other essentia corresponds to at least two pathways, and only by accommodating all two pathways can they become obsolete.
But the 'Key of Light' is different, and it has only one corresponding path, the 'Wheel of Fortune'.
This also means that as long as someone can become the sequence 0 of the 'Wheel of Fortune' pathway, they can directly contain the 'Key to Light' and become the old days!
And on the side of the real Creator, the 'Angel of Destiny' Ulorius happens to have the extraordinary characteristics of the two copies of Sequence 1 of the 'Wheel of Fortune' pathway. As long as he can successfully hunt another mercury serpent, he will have a chance to advance to Sequence 0 and become a true old day!
At this point, Ulorius' path would be easier than that of any other being.
Provided, of course, that He could obtain the Key of Light.
In order to obtain the Key of Light, the seal set by the Master of Mysteries must be broken.
Based on this prerequisite, the true Creator naturally has no reason to stop the first fire.
There is no doubt that all of this was clearly in Adam's calculations.
Adam knew the true Creator well, and the True Creator knew Adam likewise.
After all, they were the same people no matter what.
While the true Creator hesitated, the situation in the Grey Mist was becoming more and more unoptimistic.
The 'gray mist' that had been scorched by the initial fire became thinner and thinner, and cracks appeared on the surface one after another. These cracks started out as scattered 'scratches', but over time more and more cracks spread across the surface of the gray mist, like cobwebs.
The gray mist was also like a mirror at this time, and it was overwhelmed and constantly collapsing under the pressure of the cracks, as if it would completely collapse at any time.
And under the gray mist, there are also one after another 'small mountain bags', just like in a fish tank sealed by plastic, there are small fish eager to breathe are trying to break free from the shackles of plastic.
Kiss!
Finally, a 'small fish' pierced the seal of the 'plastic'.
A large hole was opened in the surface of the gray mist, and the sound of rushing water came from it, as if the water of the Milky Way was pouring out.
The true Creator looked intently, and in the midst of that hole, there was a deep, dark, colorless, non-real, flowing water with a strong breath of eternal silence, and it was clear that it was far away, but the true Creator seemed to see death, to see eternal sleep, to see His end, His end......
And those 'rivers' slanted down, but instead of falling to the ground, they suddenly disappeared in the air and flowed deep into the spirit realm.
It was not really a river, but a river of eternal darkness, one of the nine essentia.
The river is not a river in the true sense of the word, but an abstract concept and symbol.
The true Creator is not surprised by the escape of the River of Eternal Darkness, for the Lord of Mysteries is powerful, but He is not the Creator after all.
As time passed, the seal of the Western Continent gradually weakened.
Those essentia either instinctively or consciously exploit the uniqueness and high sequence of extraordinary properties within their own symbolic spheres to indirectly erode them and influence the outside world. Among them, the first to seep power was the 'River of Eternal Darkness', which formed a tributary in the outside world through Gregally as early as the Second Age.
In the Quaternary Period, more essentia began to appear on the northern and southern continents and islands of the five seas, such as the City of Calamity and the Shadow World......
Of course, the rank of these essentia is too high, and it is far from being able to activate it in the same way as the 'Hidden Sage'. Their instincts are more due to their tendency to 'converge' than their own self-consciousness.
Now, once it is freed from the trap with the help of an external force, essentia will 'converge' to the area where it once penetrated the force, and merge with its branches.
The River of Eternal Darkness is the first, followed by the Brood, the Wilderness of Knowledge......
The True Creator watched quietly because He knew that this was only the beginning, and that it was too late to stop it.
He watched silently as one essentia after another broke through the shackles of the gray mist and became free.
There was no attempt to stop it, nor an attempt to snatch it—these essentia were higher than Him, and it was impossible to stop them unless He forcibly used the power of the Chaos Sea. And the use of the Chaos Sea to intercept essentia comes at the cost that these essentia are likely to be swallowed by the Chaos Sea, and the true creator does not want to bear such a price, so he does not intend to do anything.
At the same time, although the gray mist instinctively filled the gap and prevented the essentia from escaping, it was ultimately useless.
Because by the time those gaps are filled, the essentia has already escaped, like a bird on a blue fish into the sea, and will no longer be fettered.
Eventually, the gray fog barrier was restored to its original state.
It's just that it's not as thick as it used to be, it's much thinner.
The True Creator is far away, and even in some areas, can faintly see through the gray fog to see the other side of the scene—on the other side, a large crowd is standing on the border of the gray fog, or looking at the dead world on the other side of the gray fog with worry or excitement.
Above the sky, the 'First Fire' was gone, but the sky was still bright, and the 'Sun' was also high in the sky.
Because when the 'first fire' ignites the gray mist, the 'darkness' and 'lightning' that envelop the world also ignite.
By the time the gray fog had thinned out in the continuous burning, the 'darkness' and 'lightning' had already been burned to ashes, and the bright sunlight sprinkled over the land that had been shrouded in darkness for thousands of years. Maybe in a few years, the God's Forsaken Land will turn back into the 'Eastern Continent'!"
It was a bonus.
